I was greeted by a very polite Lacey Gray in the service center. Although I was upset about my horn not working, and the car being new. I had scheduled my regular oil change and let her know that I needed another appointment to fix the horn. Lacey was able to not only get my oil changed but also to fix the horn. Since I travel throughout the state, having a functioning horn is essential for me. While my car was being serviced, Lacey kept me updated on its progress. I even had an appointment down the street, and she kindly offered to take me there and pick me up afterward. When I returned, my car was ready, and I was able to leave without any delays. My starter died. I had the car towed to Hyundai Swope the night before my scheduled 8am appointment. I was prepared to call Hyundai Swope at 745 to let them know my car was already on the property but they called me at 0740 and let me know they had the car in the shop and would call me back with their diagnosis. They called me back to let me know I needed a starter and they could have the part in 4-5 days. When I explained to Lacey that I actually live in Kansas and I have to leave to go back home in 4-5 days she didn't hesitate to find another source for the part. She found another source for the part. It was delivered around noon and they had my car back to me by 3pm. Exceptional service and the parts, labor and towing were all covered under Hyundai's warranty. Thanks for getting me back on the road. Had my first experience with Swope Hyundai this summer when looking to buy a new car. The salesman was very helpful and even gave me his cellphone number. I ended up finding a vehicle in Louisville but still had a good experience with this dealership. I had my first service today and the service department was great. They got my oil changed quickly, explained my maintenance schedule, and got my recalls scheduled. I plan on going back. My only complaint is that their waiting area doesn't have a TV. Their service center doesn't know what their doing, and they dont wanna fix anything.. had my car for about a week, had to have a new transmission, put it, and the trouble just continued!! The motor burns oil and has since we got it and all they want to do is an oil consumption test and then look at you and tell you oh well its using too much oil and we dont know where its going!! I love spending money TWICE....went because of a hole in my tire....was shown a piece of paper I had to sign for a new tire, which said Bridgestone all over it. I figured I'd get a Bridgestone tire, because NOTHING was said about the brand or type of tire. Go to sign....KUMHO crap about $40 less than my original tire. Asked about why it says Kumho. TJ:. "that's all I had in stock in that size." HUSBAND AND I not happy, who btw has a Swope Prius. If you didn't have my tire, you should have said so. Hey, got news for you, TJ, not all of us "simple women" like any old tire on our vehicle. I Will absolutely never buy another vehicle from here, nor have anything serviced here. I'll start with the good, I had good luck with the sales staff and found them generally pretty helpful. They helped me with vehicle transport so I could get to work. I purchased a '10 Ranger recently from the dealership the price was OKAY, and they were not interested in negotiating. The bad: - They sold a truck that needed new tires within a week of purchase (they weren't holding air, so they were inflating them daily trying to get it off the lot). That's pretty insulting and I definitely don't feel that that is a decent business practice. - The ad mentioned that truck had a clean Carfax, when in reality it was a Canadian import that had a rust treatment applied. I should have looked closer. - Slow. I got to the dealer at like 8 AM and didn't get to leave until after lunch, so I missed over half a day of work instead of an hour or two that I was planning for. read more

No one wanted to give us a rental car and even though this was a recall and something we couldn't control. This issue happened a total of four times. The first issue being with the first owner then we had dinner the issue the additional 3 times. One being out of state headed to St. Louis and the other two headed to my parents home. Finally the fourth time we listened to and taken care of. I never experienced such outstanding customer service from a dealership like this one. We had our car towed there and they instantly had a car ready for us to head back to Lexington in. The work was done within a week and we received a new motor for the car (which came to be the issue the whole time). Replied to a listing they had, agreed to the price, made appointment to drive 2.5 hours to pick up the car, was told in writing everything worked as should plus several others things about how great the car was, my 17 year old grandson has been saving for two years and looking for a car since last September, he was very excited. When we arrived they said " we just drove it and it shakes and they don't feel comfortable selling it but we have some other vehicles we can sell you for a little kore money" we were like wait we have been texting back and forth for three days, you have the car listed as ready to go, in the listing it says how great the car is, we texted the day before to ask if gas stations were open, they said "it has over a half tank and will make it back to Evansville just fine" and all they had to say was "oh we're sorry but we have other cars". False Advertisement! Blatantly lied in the add. Pretty obvious it seems they use that car to bait people to get them in then try to sell them something else. I told them to have the service guy estimate what it will cost to fix the bad front end parts they said no if we didn't buy it as is they would send it to auction, it was a $6000 car, they would rather sell it at auction for probably $2500 before they would sell it to us fir $5000. They knew how bad he wanted it and that we got up at 5am to drive 2.5 hours and totally tried to take advantage of us. Stopped by because our driver side door wouldn't open from the inside or out, wanted them to just look at it to give us a quote on what it might cost to fix it. In order for them to just look at it it would have cost us 45 dollars! Why am I going to pay you to look at my car and then might not like the price you are going to charge me. So we went to Honda they didn't charge us to look at it and gave us a quote on how much it would cost to fix it. I suggest shop around if you need your car fixed. read more

Don't waste your time, they are dishonest and will tell you anything to get you to come into the dealership. On 9/29/2018 I called about a 2012 Nissan Frontier advertised for $21680, 4x4 with a trailer hitch and bed extender with only 22,680 miles. When I talked to them on the phone I specifically asked about the trailer hitch and bed extender. The salesman said it had both. I asked him to send me pictures because I couldn't see it on the pictures online. After a few hours he called back and said it had neither but they would add them, no additional cost. I agreed to come into the dealership to see the vehicle and that I planned to trade my truck. I also informed them I was driving from Southern Indiana over an hour away. When I got to the dealership at the agreed upon time, the salesman I had talked to was not available. The guy that came out said he unexpectedly had customers to drop in The salesman that greeted me was nice but new. He allowed me to test drive the vehicle but didn't seem to know what to do next. It was a beautiful Saturday and I thanked the guy and left. Over 2 hours of my life wasted that I don't get back. A few days later I got an email and call from the salesman to see if I was still interested in the vehicle. I told him I was interested but I didn't like wasting my time. I told him I was willing to do $16k out the door with my truck as a trade. He assured me we would be able to make a deal and if we didn't, even though he said we would, they would replace the gas used for the drive. The salesman was playing in a golf tournament in the morning so I arrived around 3:30 on 10/12. Of course I went to the little office to wait while they appraised my truck. I had asked about 2 keys and 2 remotes, and the salesman had those on the desk when I arrived. The normal chit chat while waiting to start the back and forth. It begins, The salesman goes to talk to his manager to discuss the appraisal. I think they offered $5000 for my truck, I declined because I had already looked at KBB and knew it should be around $7200, I told him $6500 was fair. He went back to talk to his manager and came back at $5500. At that point I told him I wasn't going back and forth, I was at $16k out the door with my truck as a trade. He would need to come back with that deal or the keys to my truck so I could leave because I wasn't wasting any more of my time. Of course at this point he comes back with his manager (Rodriguez I think) in tow. The manager proceeds to convince me they're offering me a good deal. At this point I tell him my credit union had already advised me the retail for the vehicle with everything as advertised should be $19,500. At this time the managers entire countenance changed and he became rude and dismissive to me. At this point I reiterated my price out the door was $16k and no more than $16,500 out the door. The manager said he wouldn't do the deal for that, I told the manager my time was just as valuable as his and I didn't appreciate my time being wasted. I told both manager and salesman this was the last time I planned to spend over 2 hours of my life driving to Elizabethtown, Kentucky to a Swope dealership. I asked for my keys and proceeded to leave. No mention from anyone to replace the gas used to drive there twice. I honestly think the salesman (Brett, military veteran) was doing his best, or as he was being told, he seemed inexperienced. As a female In the past I've had good experiences at Swope BMW (now BMW of Louisvile) and Swope Honda in Louisvile. Maybe the customer service at Swope ends when you go further south on 65. I received extremely disappointing customer service from Brandon and Kevin Karr at the Swope Hyundai World dealership in Elizabethtown, KY on July 31, 2018. These gentlemen (and I use that term loosely) need immediate retraining on how to treat customers. On my first visit on July 30th, Brandon was pleasant and helpful. We were there to buy a car for my 17 year old daughter and test drove a 2011 Honda Civic listed for $7000. We liked the car, but it was out of our price range and Brandon pulled the old used car salesman trick to 'go ask his manager'- that schtick really should be retired! When he came back to say that the best they could do would be $7000 which would include taxes and fees, without telling me exactly what those fees would be, I was ready to leave as that was still a bit more than I wanted to pay. He convinced me to take the car overnight as I had told him that I wanted to have our mechanic check the car out and that we live over an hour from Elizabethtown. I took the car and Brandon and the dealership were fully aware I was having it inspected by a professional mechanic. In retrospect, he should have told me, that regardless of what our mechanic found, that this dealership would not stand behind the car and ensure that is was safe and in top shape if the mechanic found issues. Our mechanic found numerous issues with the car- $2000 worth. Many of them could be cleaned up (I assume) with a quick tune up at their in house dealershipshop. I was surprised that Swope would sell a car without having it properly serviced, as I would personally have my own car tuned up and ensure no major mechanical issues before selling it, and I'd expect the same from a professional dealership- at any price point. I fully expected that we would be able to work something out that was reasonable and fair to both parties when I returned with this report. When I came back to the dealership on July 31st with a friend who is more knowledgeable about cars than I am, I presented Brandon with the printout that my mechanic gave me. I was not asking or demanding anything at that stage, but as a professional salesperson myself, I expected at the very minimum civility and professionalism. Brandon displayed neither of these, and he was immediately aggressive, hostile, dismissive and condescending. He acted as though our mechanic was making things up when I assure you, our mechanic did not stand to gain anything by not giving us an accurate report. Many of the items on the report could have been discussed and probably we could have agreed to some 'fix' but there were 2 serious, safety and mechanical issues, a fluid leak that was undiagnosed as well as a suspension control arm issue, that would need to be addressed. In what appeared to be disgust, Brandon said he would have to get his manager to talk to me. After a 'power' delay, the manager came in, his name was Kevin Karr. He was rude, dismissive and as hostile as Brandon was. He said that your dealership would do nothing, it was $7000, period. I have many times had to tell customers they were not going to get what they want, and there is an art to doing this. It must always be done with respect and civility- not rudeness. I was shocked at how I was spoken to. I politely thanked him and left. I have no idea where the rudeness and condescending attitude came from. Were these 2 employees behaving in a discriminatory manner because I am a woman? I can't imagine any other reason. I do not believe that a man would have been treated in this way. Regardless, no customer should be treated rudely, especially when I was simply sharing what our mechanic had found and asking (not demanding) what could be done in order to have a win/win situation. PS: Don't buy the 2011 Honda Civic they are currently selling. There are $2000 worth of issues on it! And if you are a woman- stay away! read more

Very disappointed with the customer service. We bought our van there and it came with a service package (we paid for it in the price of the vehicle). We've made appointments in the past and they would not be ready causing us to sit and wait. We live an hour plus away so taking it there is terribly inconvenient. We took it there for a simple oil change and upon pulling out onto the highway the tire fell off...in traffic...because someone forgot to put the lug nuts on. Strike one. We asked them to just make it right. They were asked to look under the car and make sure there was no other damage. They didn't or didn't care but when we got back home there was in fact damage. Monday we called the service manager. Again we just want this to be made right so he said he would order a rim and we could make an appointment to bring it on and have it repaired. My husband recieved a text on July 6 confirming they had the part so he made an appointment for July 20. On the day of his appointment that he took an unpaid day off to drive an hour away to have a problem fixed that was completely the fault of Swope Hyundai he is told "oh sorry we sent that part back because it was here too long". The service manager tried offering $125 to have this done somewhere convenient for us. It will cost 3 times that. We are fed up and can't even get someone else from the company to take care of this apparently the buck stops at the service manger and he's not pleasant or helpful.
