When my wife's board took a ding. I have a few go to places, but some friends suggested I take it to Vartanian stating he is the best. I feel that an apprentice did my repair and James may not have even seen our board on the rack. A tail wrap for today's prices of 50-60 bucks (depending on the size) would seem fair and you just expect it to be water tight and go surf, but when you pay a premium price of 85.00$ I would have expected a little more artisan craftsmanship. They didn't even come close to matching the resin opaque. I know he makes quality boards and top notch repair, but it seems someone took a shortcut this time around.

When I showed up to pick up my paddle board, I wasn't sure what color and size I wanted so he pull all the boards out for me and was patience as I was making a decision. He also offed to help me strap my new board to my car. I ended up getting the Kainalu 10 feet board. The board is amazing!!! Its light and fast! I couldn't of asked for a better board. I'm only 5 feet 110 lbs and I'm able to get the board on and off my Mini with no problem. After I had purchase my board a friend of mine decided to get one too so of course I referred her to Mark. She decided to go with the Nalukea 10 feet board. Once we got there she realized that she had purchase a double soft rack and there was no way we were going to that board strapped to her car. So Mark gave up two straps to use at no charge so we could get the board home. WOW!! Overall my experience with Pacific Fun Project was amazing! Great SUP boards and customer serivce!!!

They are definitely known for their discount prices on all winter/snow-related gear, outerwear, and accessories, as well as services like waxing, tuning, and rentals. When you walk in, the store is so neatly arranged and organized, it's super easy to find everything you are looking for. After coming here for so long, I legit just discovered that upstairs houses their "gently used" section, for those looking for an even more affordable option. The workers are super friendly, with a chill vibe. Everyone is knowledgeable & always willing you help you. My lil fam of 4 snowboards every year, so we have come here (year after year) to update our snow outfits, to googles, boots, snow socks, thermals, & beanies. We were greeted multiple times stepping into the store and asked if we needed any help. We just came here for a snow jacket to prepare for real cold. The inside has cool decorations, snowboard brands etc kind of like a little wooden fort. Theres even a laddered second floor where they sell 2nd hand items. The store is divided into sections for board care/rentals, they have curtained fitting space and a toilet. They even have helmets and ski shoes. The prices here for snow jackets/gear (have pants too) are definitely cheaper than other name brand outdoor places and good quality (150-200), even cheaper than some outlets (but im not too well versed in brand comparisons so dont quote me if you are seasoned). I I think accessories might be cheaper at outlets?, but its more convenient to get everything in one place. They have toe warmers and google covers. They even have the board conditions for different mountains written on a white board as if you were up there in a resort. It would be great if they had a diagram for beginners of what clothing items/essentials to get including accessories and thermal layers as the store overall is very approachable to a southern californian newbie. The only thing is that it is a bit hole in the wall, parking is a bit confusing as you do look like you're pulling up to an inn. But there is a parking lot and we seemed okay parking there for our time here. Had a good time here, would recommend it to anyone looking to get into winter sports.

The team here during my visit was great. I met Steve and he's was knowledgeable and friendly. I came in with a specific item in mind. He knew exactly the item and went back to pull one for me to handle and confirm. He brought along a similar item as a suggestion which was nice as well. While the other sales person prepared my purchase, I was offered a water and Steve and I walked the store talking about recent collections and releases including the New Balance collaboration and seasonal colors on classic styles. Prices are premium, but Stone Island you can always expect the best quality product, and when you pair that product with a great service experience, thats the big win for brand loyalty which keeps us coming back again and again.
