Plus they put TV's on the ceiling so when you're getting your cleaning you can watch Netflix. It's bright and airy in there and it's across from a beautiful green lawn! Vivian took amazing care of me and worked diligently on my teeth. Dr. Cheng I believed came in after and he offered some recommendations and specific things I might need to take care of eventually but did say it wasn't urgent. I had been before to their other location when I needed a root canal done and I felt like I was in professional and good hands. This was the last appointment I had with Vision dental since I was moving out of state later that month but I feel so lucky that I got a chance to meet Vivian and felt really well taken care of. As soon as I opened the door the staff was warm and welcoming. I waited maybe a minute. Sebastian was wonderful getting me settled in and comfortable with the setting - checking on me while I waited for the doctor. Dr. Samantha was great. She didn't lecture me at all about not seeing the dentist regularly. I told her I was hitting the reset button and back to prioritizing my dental health - she was receptive and wonderful. I had three cavities filled that day. I didn't feel a thing! Before the procedure, staff came in to review costs with me. There was zero pressure to get any work done that day. The space is great - it's open but still very private for doctor/staff and patient conversations. Parking was $5 for two hours and there were plenty of spaces. I think I found my dentist after a few trials at other places!

Sometimes when you're on Yelp, you'll see a dentist with 300 five star reviews, but then you'll see 10 or so one star reviews and you wonder what is going on. It really is hard to find an actual good dentist absent a personal recommendation. Blue Pearl (and Dr. Amna Hussain) were absolutely fantastic. They use really cutting edge tech to x-ray, photograph and diagnose. The pain of visiting the dentist is actually gone. Dr. Amna made it a point to vocalize everything she was about to do and why, which was cool and calming. The entire visit wasn't expensive at all (no insurance here) and Dr Amna made it a point to take the entire process I'm involved in slowly so we can take the proper course, which was appreciated. Overall, great visit. If I were to make the most minor of complaints, maybe there are too many text messages prior to visit, but I think that's a ZocDoc thing and my own thing about getting too many messages.

I went in with a Groupon and paid out of pocket and they were very accommodating. For the first few years, they made me feel at ease every visit and I was religiously going in every 6 months for teeth cleaning and check up. When they moved to the Koreatown office is when it started to feel like they were starting to push me to fix numerous things and that number would increase every visit. I eventually never dealt with Dr. Arezoo or Dr. Azy unless it was very brief. Some teeth cleaning were done poorly and some other assistants were not pleasant to deal with. Prices kept increasing bc of Covid and supply issues yet every time I go in the office there are new gadgets. I went in to replace my crown and they took x-rays 4xs bc they wanted to make sure the crown would fit. There was a time when dentists didn't need all these toys and they managed just fine. The kicker was their new financial policy they wanted me to sign. $150-$300 per hour cancellation fee! In the 14 years I have never been late to an appointment and last time I had to cancel that morning bc I woke up with a fever and had to go to urgent care and they tried to charge me $200. They said I should have known I was going to be sick. That is unreasonable and disgusting to charge people that much. I asked what our compensation would be if they had to cancel on patients last minute and they made excuses. I'm so sick of everyone being greedy. I suggest you go elsewhere. I'm done with this place.

Yesterday, I had an amazing experience while getting my teeth pulled. Dr. Kalasho did lovingly "scold" me, but it came from a place of genuine care and concern. I truly felt like a VIP--watching Netflix with a weighted blanket, under-eye patches, and even provided reading glasses so I could relax comfortably while enjoying my movie. This morning, I woke up with no pain, just some expected soreness in my jaw, but no discomfort in the treated area. I was even able to go to work without any issues. 1st off Dr. Kalasho closed this office…read more I had Dr. Kalasho do a root canal and the crown and remove my wisdoom tooth in Jan 2025. I had no problems with the work done, or at least I though so.. In the spring of 2025, I went for a checkup, and Dr Kalasho was on leave and her replacement told me I developed another 2 cavities... just a few months after the original cavity was fixed. I couldnt believe my ears and I agreed to fix it. However, they had just closed the Hollywood office, and the closest location would have then been in Beverly Hills and I had no interest in visiting not even once. And I didnt have time to look for a new denist in the area. Fast forward to the spring 2026, I went to 2 different reputable denists in the area and they both said I had no cavity in that tooth.. I was in awe. Questions came flashing back.. Why every time did I have to sign the waiver 10x longer and more specific than at other denist's I have gone to? Why I was charged 5k for a crown that another denist said did not have that u-shape that teeth have to block most of the food in between the teeth? Was it as bad as I was made to believe? I don't know. But my suspicious makes sense. The office and the equipmennt that looked better than I have seen in Hollywood movies. Friendly chit-chat WITH LITERALLY EVERYONE in the office. Talking about families, sharing personal stories, laughing together. And then the friendly by the way reminder.. Do you want to prepay? Let's take care of this bill right away etc etc. At the end of the day, however, I couldnt shake the feeling how forced the interactions appeared. Too good to be true, fake. Well.. now, I know for sure.
