Some of the vegetables were seasoned a little too heavily for me, but otherwise it was pretty good. I did get their turkey and dressing, which was a strange mix of chipped, turkey both dark and white meat with gravy poured over stuffing. I would prefer having sliced meat. Service was really good. The desserts looked great, but I didn't get any.

I was invited to lunch and asked to select the location! I chose Sylvan, based on previous reviews and I was not disappointed! We both ordered the Fried Chicken Salad and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The only thing that we didn't eat were the tomatoes because they were very large Other than that, we enjoyed the food, fellowship and the service. PS, the banana pudding is also delicious

Such a great, local breakfast joint! It warms my heart to see the older community enjoying coffee and pancakes, sitting at "their" table. There is the sweetest waitress who has been working here since I can remember. Their BACON!!!!! I've never tasted anything like it. Crispy, salty, melts in your mouth. Absolute perfection! I love that they serve coffee in non-matching, miscellaneous cups. Unfortunately, they are no longer open on Saturdays. The pandemic exhausted their staff. But, any time I have a day off through the week - I come here! You should, too!

Yum! I love a good meat and three (or two in my case today). We don't have many, if any, in the St. Louis area, so I'm always happy to come across one. Today's special was Turkey with dressing and yams. Oh yeah! Like Thanksgiving but without all the work. The Turkey was some of the best I've had (sorry, Mama) but the dressing while good, Mama's is better! The yams were heavenly!

Delish veggie omelet! Great coffee, great service. We found a hidden gem! Prices are Very affordable too.

Scrambled egg, over medium eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, pancakes, toast and orange juice.

Ordered breakfast of scrambled egg, over medium eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes and toast. Was the last to order breakfast this morning and everything came out quick, hot, and delicious. My waitress was prompt and attentive. I visit this place periodically and normally get plate to go. This time I dined in and enjoyed every bite. As I gazed around everybody's lunch orders looked like something I might try next time. No long wait for food or service. Would highly recommend. Nice clean place to dine. Heard the desserts are outstanding.

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!
