i called this salon around 12 pm, booking a same day appointment for 1:30 pm, and upon my arrival,…read moreonly waited around 5 minutes before getting seated in one of their chairs. prior to my haircut, my hair was waist length, and afterwards, is now chest length. i asked Dina, who cut my hair, to cut off roughly 3 inches, requesting her to focus on removing dead hair/split ends. i specifically informed her that i enjoy keeping my hair long. in spite of this, a whopping minimum 6 inches was cut off. if you're someone like me who enjoys keeping their hair long, i would highly recommend getting your hair cut somewhere else. the pricing for a women's haircut is $35 before tip, which is more affordable than other salons, but this price point may come with certain sacrifices, such as not having your specific hairstyle requests fulfilled.

Tldr: Don't get your hair done by TONY…read more I got my digital perm done about a week ago have been debating whether or not to write a review. However, this whole appointment and the end result was too unpleasant for me to ignore. Tony was the one who did my perm and Tony was unprofessional. Please avoid having Tony do your hair. To start, Tony showed up to the appointment 15 minutes late (and his coworker was telling him his 11 o'clock was there) and then seemed very disinterested in trying to get the service started. Then, after briefly glancing at my reference photo and finding his own- Tony told me that my hair needed to go shorter and proceeded to give the most careless haircut ever. Total hack job. During the perm, Tony rolled each hair extremely tight that he even had to pause to massage his hands. The overly tight rolls bruised my scalp and Tony was so careless with placing the spacers between the rollers and scalp that I actually was tearing up because the pain was so unbearable. And even though I mentioned that it hurt Tony lowkey just ignored it?? To top it off- Tony ran out of rollers HALFWAY throughout the process so I had to wait with the crazy tight rollers for around 30 minutes (I am not exaggerating). And Tony's not the one that informed me about it- Tony's nice coworkers were the ones that continued to check in and keep me updated. Also, the whole salon had 3 digital perms going on (including mine) and they kept grabbing the rollers coming off from another client and directly using it on my hair. I don't know if that's normal but I thought every tool was supposed to be disinfected prior to using it on another client. If the digital perm turned out the way I wanted- I would not be so upset but the curls were MUCH MUCH tighter than I asked for. But mostly the experience sucked. And it sucks because I had come here previously for a regular perm and had such a great experience that I trusted the salon for another appointment. I will not be visiting this salon again. (And clearly I am very upset towards TONY for messing up my hair and being totally incompetent throughout the whole appointment. Also, maybe you wouldn't lose YOUR VAPE IN THE BIN OF DIGITAL HAIR ROLLERS if you weren't too busy vaping while doing your client's hair.)

She was already in Taiwan for additional hair training and would respond to me, going back and forth between me and Ken. And mind you, this is before Lunar New Year, when most people would get their haircut! My day started right at opening time (10am) with a haircut. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he just went with it. I will say this honestly: I've never liked my haircut this much. Why did it take me 40 years??? Anyway, we then had my hair washed and started with the first round of bleach around 11am, and then touch up. By 1pm, I decided to eat my lunch. I came prepared this time! Quick story: 9 years ago, I had no idea this type of hair procedure would take all day, and therefore did not bring lunch. Ken and Kristie fed me lunch! They are the best people, I swear. Anyway, after a rinse, we did another round of bleach with touch ups. I made it more difficult for Ken because I had dyed my hair a darker shade to cover my greys. I'm so sorry Ken! By 4pm it was no COLORING TIME! Ken started with the purple roots, then added the silver to the rest, with rounds of touching up. 5:30pm is when we did our last round of wash, then blow dry and a bit of styling. After a quick photo session, I was out by 6pm! I really appreciate them both for making this work, especially when I took up an entire day. Ken and Kristie are the best, and I will travel back to LA the next time I'd like my hair done again. Thank you SO much again Ken and Kristie!

I absolutely love my stylist -- she's incredibly talented, attentive, and truly cares about her clients. Unfortunately, the overall experience at the salon is often overshadowed by how the owner, Sandra, runs things. It feels like she prioritizes squeezing in as many clients as possible rather than respecting the time and experience of those who've made appointments. During my last visit, while I was in the middle of a scheduled appointment (with wet hair and a treatment processing), Sandra answered calls from walk-ins and told them to come in immediately -- even though my stylist was clearly already busy. She was then expected to juggle those walk-ins alongside her current clients. That kind of pressure is not only unfair to the stylist but also to those of us who book in advance and expect quality time and attention. The environment can feel chaotic, with assistants who seem unsure of what they're doing, and constant corrections happening out loud. On top of that, Sandra often makes backhanded compliments and comments that come off as passive-aggressive, then masks them as "helpful" advice. It's uncomfortable, and frankly, unprofessional. And if you're sitting there hearing gossip about other clients -- just know you're probably next once you leave. If you don't mind waiting, being overbooked, and sitting through salon drama, then this might be the place for you. But if you value a respectful, focused experience, it may not be worth the frustration. My stylist is amazing and deserves a better environment -- and so do her clients. read more

Horrible place to come the lady name Sandra did my hair I came in with dark brown hair I told her I haven't dyed my hair in 6 months and last nov I came here and did highlights ... so I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked if she could do it she said yes and charge me $140 and it didn't come out the way I wanted it or not even close i went in to tell her to fix my hair and she gave me attitude started yelling at me also made a big scene so unprofessional ! she doesn't want to fix my hair or at least give me my money back or nothing ... she also said I wasn't white so my hair wasn't going to turn blonde . I am sharing this to warn others of a serious safety and professionalism issue I experienced at…read morethis salon. During my visit, I was subjected to what I found to be intimidating and physically aggressive behavior by a male stylist. The incidents included: Hostility: An aggressive response to a simple question about parking. Physical Force: Unnecessary force used to push my head down during a hair wash. Physical Contact: Most alarmingly, while my hair was being dried, the stylist intentionally struck the side of my face three times with his hand to knock my earbud out. Management's Response: When I finally confronted him and stated that this behavior was unacceptable, his demeanor shifted instantly from aggressive to a forced smile. The owners were present and witnessed the tension, but rather than addressing the stylist's behavior, they simply brushed the situation off by having a female worker take over the service. The Reason Given: The female worker later informed me that the male stylist acted this way because he "didn't want to do" the hair dye treatment, as he felt it was too much work--even though it was his turn and he had not refused the service. It is completely unacceptable for a customer to be subjected to physical aggression and hostility simply because a staff member is unhappy with their work assignment. Because a salon environment requires being in close proximity to a stylist, safety is paramount. The lack of accountability and the physical boundary violations I experienced make this a business I can no longer trust or recommend.
