It was scary for us, but we called Mindy and she was so polite and let me ask all the questions I needed! She brought us over to do an evaluation and see how our dogs get along with her Lab and a couple other dogs staying there. Mindy and her husband do such an amazing job at sending us updates with pictures and communicating in a timely manner. It's also nice to know that groups are more intimate so I know my dogs as well as the other dogs staying with them get all the affection and attention they can get! Thank you House of Mutts for being a wonderful place for my pups

We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!

I chose The Barking Dog based on its strong online reviews, but unfortunately my experience was…read moreextremely disappointing. This was my first time ever boarding my dogs, and I only scheduled this stay because I had an unexpected family death. Naturally, I was already stressed, and this experience made things worse. When I dropped my dogs off, the front desk employee was working alone. While I understand being busy, the entire check-in process was very disorganized and frustrating. After taking my dogs to the back, she spent time inventorying my items, answering calls, and helping other customers--without once acknowledging me or letting me know I was free to go. I stood there for about 15-20 minutes with no communication, only to eventually be told she didn't need anything else from me. During my dogs' two-night stay, I received zero updates--no messages, photos, or report cards, despite those being features listed in their system. As a first-time boarding experience, this was especially concerning and left me wondering how my dogs were doing the entire time. Pickup was just as disappointing. While bringing my dogs out, one of them got her foot stuck in the doorway and was yelping in pain, and the employee continued pulling her on the leash instead of stopping to help. I was handed my dogs quickly with no update on how they did during their stay. The dogs also smelled so bad when we got them, I had to immediately bathe them when I got home. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and basic care was very upsetting--especially given the circumstances that led me to need their services in the first place. I had another boarding appointment already scheduled for April which I canceled and will not be returning or recommending this facility.

BEWARE & PROCEED WITH CAUTION…read more This "pet resort" is crawling with red flags, and unfortunately my husband and I didn't catch them until our puppy had been there for three days. Let me just be clear with some major bullet points on why you should avoid this place if you love your pup(s) at all. 1. The more questions you ask, the more aggravated the staff will get with you. My husband and I asked simple questions, like how much crate time do the pups get, when is feeding, etc- simple, and the staff became increasingly annoyed with us and it showed. 2. After picking him up on the second day the staff couldn't tell us if he had or hadn't been given his food that we brought from home for him. All they knew was... well nothing. Just that they weren't sure but "probably ate" ... excuse me? 3. Also on this day they informed us that Teddy had not had any crate time inside and that he had been "playing outside" ALL day... mind you it was 112 degrees this day! When I questioned how this was even remotely appropriate, they said "we have misters and there are covered areas." ......??! I don't know about you but I'm not even sitting at a restaurant outside for 45 minutes in these conditions with "misters" let alone playing / running around from 8 AM - 4 PM. Just no. Not only are they completely, scarily & utterly negligible with the "pet resort / doggy daycare" aspect of their practice, but they're completely unprofessional, judgmental, and rude. I'm embarrassed to admit it took us three days to figure all of this out. After reading the review left two weeks ago by Kori T. at 1pm today (the third day), we literally dropped our day to run and get our puppy out of this place. And we will NEVER return. 0/10, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Dogtopia - Endless fun during pool day

Between the two of us we have spent many thousands of dollars at Dogtopia. Unfortunately the level of expertise and customer service at this facility have deteriorated significantly and we will not be back. This afternoon at 5 pm I received a call from Dogtopia notifying me that my standard poodle Dalton had been bitten at their facility this morning. Apparently the counselors that were aware of the bite did not notify management so no one called me when the event occurred. Had they called I would immediately have picked him up and taken him to his regular vet. Since they didn't I have now been sitting at an emergency vet facility for over two hours waiting for him to be seen. Not to mention the fact that he spent an entire day in an unsanitary environment with an open puncture wound. When I inquired whether Dogtopia would reimburse me for the vet bill the answer was I'd need to call their customer service department at corporate and it's handled on a 'case basis'. Unbelievable. Here's the kicker. Since I've been here at the vet I received notice that Dogtopia put through a charge for an entire day of daycare today! When I called to discuss this the person who answered the phone didn't seem to know anything about what had happened. Once upon a time everyone at Dogtopia would have known a dog had been bitten and would have done everything possible to make it right. No calling corporate and no hassle. Now they don't even tell one another about it and they don't have authority locally to waive a daycare charge. It really saddens me to write this review, but this is not the business it once was and I can't recommend it. Footnote: this review is regarding Dogtopia Scottsdale Raintree. We can hardly get his leash off, he's so eager to see friends. We love the live cameras in the yard and inside the hound lounge. It's so nice to be able to check on our fur baby and see what he is up to! One of the main reasons we love Always Unleashed is not only the live cameras, but they are "always unleashed!" They don't kennel the dogs. They all hang out together outside and inside. All the dogs seem calm because they don't have the pent up anxiety of being in a kennel outside of their home. They aren't barking all the time and agitated. They are hanging together as a group. The outside has a ton of misters and a large pool for the pups. They have lots of room to play. Our dog Booker has made friends with other dogs and it's so fun to see him playing and happy. He was boarded over his birthday this past year and they gave him special treats and extra attention. They sent us pictures and videos. They are currently under renovation, redoing the front office check-in space. It will be nice when it's all completed, but it's been nice they have stayed open during the renovation. This summer our flight was delayed flying home from Chicago and Shea was great letting us pick up Booker a little later. We didn't want to wait another day to see our baby! Another time we were stuck on the 17 in traffic because of an accident coming home from Flagstaff. They understand how important our fur baby is to us! Another time Booker got a hot spot on his paw and they were on the phone with me about it and how I wanted it treated. Then after he was home Shea followed up with me to see how he was doing. Booker always comes home happy and tired. Always Unleashed is a great place for day care or boarding, highly recommend.
