He even tried to discredit me by claiming I was yelling at his crew, despite the fact that I have video and audio recordings of him yelling and using profanity at me while I maintained politeness. I was left scrambling with tenants displaced in a hotel while he abandoned the work. Save yourself the stress and money--look elsewhere.

Stanley gave me the timeframe and was honest about the timeframe for our bathroom job, but he also guaranteed that the job would be done in the timeframe we needed. We had to go with a new tile because the tile in the bathroom before was outdated and unavailable. He kept the price in the range that we needed it to be. Looking at the finished product I can't put into words how good of a job they had done. Redoing the wall, the bathroom tiles, and the tiling by the shower was all done correctly and they made sure to clean up everything when they were done. I will be calling Stanley for all of our home needs moving forward.

They worked hard and did a good job. They completed many tasks adjacent to what I had asked for in the remodel. Overall I am very pleased with the work they did and I would use them again. DBR was able to run the plumbing to accommodate a double vanity in no time and run the electrical to allow the mirror to function properly. Once he started, he realized the screws needed for the handles were missing. He ended up making two trips to the store. After the second trip, he suddenly told me I owed him an additional $100. I felt pressure to accept before he left the work incomplete. What bothered me most was how he handled the disagreement. Instead of dealing with me directly, he texted my tenant and told him I had until the end of the day to pay him; otherwise I would "pay much more than $100." My tenant had nothing to do with our agreement and should never have been placed in the middle of a payment dispute. I paid the originally agreed price of $350 plus the $100 he later demanded. Because of the unexpected additional charge and the way he communicated afterward, I would not hire Mako Renovation again.

Ohad is an honest thought partner when it comes to design and overall project management. He'll tell you straight where it's worth spending and where you can save. And his team is hardworking, honest, and reliably on schedule (and mostly on budget!). We have also had the opposite experience of some of the warranty comments below. The team has ALWAYS come back promptly to finish final details/punch list items until we're happy with the project. And, they stand by the quality of their work. For example, after refinishing our floors, we noticed some marks that weren't quite right. Ohad agreed immediately that it wasn't up to his standard of work and sent a team to fix it, no pushback at all. The team tried a "quick" fix at first which was better, but not perfect. Without us even asking to fix it again, Ohad said it still wasn't to his standard and the solution was to rework the entire area. Due to some personal scheduling conflicts that made it hard to have workers in the house, we asked to delay for a few months past project completion and he was completely understanding... told us it would happen on our timeline and just asked for some notice before we'll be ready so he can schedule the team. That kind of accountability, owning a mistake and working around our needs to fix it, is exactly why we trust him so much. Plus the incredibly high standard of work on everything that went perfectly smoothly! We won't risk anyone else working on our home at this point.
