The day of my appointment to see Victor and Madison, I had a migraine. I decided to go anyway,…read moregiven that was the reason I was seeing them was to discover the root cause. I'm so glad I did. Madison treated me right away with a combination of essential oils and Marma point massage (sort of like the Ayurvedic version of acupressure)and I experienced nearly instant relief. She provided me a diet which was largely the opposite of what I'd been eating. Victor took my pulses and confirmed a lot of my concerns and quickly assessed stress and trauma were the root causes. It has been about three months now of weekly treatments, the new diet, and taking kundalini yoga classes at their sister business, Yoga and Ayurveda, in Cypress Village. I'm excited to hear I'm at about 50% healed, feeling more energized, less depressed, and physically MUCH stronger. This last push is really to hone in on my emotional health and resilience. Victor teaches classes on recovering from Trauma and the Vagas nerve which are so essential for everyone today. Madison's cooking and skin health workshops were also super informative. PCA is a local gem for people looking for natural, holistic healing. Highly recommend.

In meeting Victor and Madison I quickly came to know that these are two people who have truly devoted there lives to healing others. I have suffered from Psoriatic Arthritis most of my adult life and had become used to the overmedicated conveyor belt system of modern say health care. Meeting Victor and Madison was a breathe of fresh air. My first visit they spent and hour and a half with me. They went over my medical history, checked my pulses and generally cared about healing me holistically, not just suppressing the symptoms. I had always been told arthritis could not be cured but they opened a whole new world to me. I would not be where I am today with my health if it weren't for them!

Compassionate, personalized, and mindful. These are the words that best describe my yoga experience…read morewith Tanja. Her weekly yoga practice helped me find more balance and focus during a transitional (and sometimes stressful) time in my life. I've never met an instructor so willing to tailor each class to the needs of her participants, while still being able to challenge each of us to discover new limits to our abilities. I am extraordinarily grateful for the loving guidance Tanja provided. The accepting, care-free environment she creates in her studio was a unique and refreshing welcome back into a yoga practice. As I leave Mendocino, I am so sad to be leaving Tanja, but am also excited to take the lessons of mindfulness, compassion, and balance she helped guide me to through our practice. I would highly recommend Tanja to others looking for a more individualized, fun, and loving yoga practice.

I don't even know where to begin. After weeks of intense pain, I went to my doctor's appointment…read moreand was diagnosed with back arthritis. At 36 years old, with five kids ranging from 19 years to 2 years old, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. I could barely stand, doing day to day things was painful and traveling by car was miserable. I confided in one of my closest friends about the pain and my growing dependence on muscle relaxers, along with the other issues they were causing. My friend mentioned Lauren to me again and said, "You must go see her." After canceling and reconsidering multiple times, I finally decided to schedule an appointment. When I first met Lauren, I was in immense pain, feeling depressed and lost. After a very emotional appointment, I felt pain and heavier at moments, but there was something about Lauren and her willingness to help others that made me think I should give this health and body process a chance. I started my journey that same day, pushing through the pain and beginning my healing process. The very next day, I was able to do things I had only dreamed of doing again, like tying my shoes--just the little things that had become impossible for me. I felt like a whole new person. Going to Lauren changed my life and made me feel like I could do anything. Most recently, I started jogging and taking long car rides again! I will forever be thankful for her, and I believe she was put in my path at the right time. Juliet

There's all sorts of yoga classes here for every BODY, I wish there were more classes (more class…read moretimes available) but we always want more ;) Justine the owner is friendly, kind, calm, gives modifications when needed, explanations of poses, and overall is an easy person to talk to and feel comfortable around. I also recently went to Delphine's Core Power Flow Yoga class and absolutely loved it. Both instructors do poses and flows that I have kind of forgotten about over the years. I recently moved to Fort Bragg and the people in classes have made me feel welcome to their beautiful community at At One Yoga. At times during classes faint noises can be heard from outside the studio or upstairs. There are mats, blankets, pillows, blocks and ropes if needed. Once you open the door to the studio you are right next to the check-in desk and the area where you will be doing your practice is pretty much right in front of you. There are cubicles to put your things in and a bench if needed. It's $13 to do a drop-in (cash preferred) and you could also do, 5 classes for $50 (expires in two months). At One Yoga is located at 301 Main St Suite E. in Fort Bragg, CA (it will be on your left after passing by the bank) and is inside the Union Lumber Company Store (huge white building). Once you enter the building go to your left, towards the bike shop and keep walking down the hall. You will see At One Yoga on your right near an exit door. There is plenty of on street parking that is free and a bike rack located in front of the Union Lumber Company Store and also in the back. At One Yoga has some well written descriptions of their courses, http://www.at1yoga.com/class-descriptions/. I always recommend checking out any yoga studio's website before coming to class! This way you'll be happy with the class you have chosen.

I…read morehave had hundreds of massages from dozens of practitioners and I would rate Nicole in the top 5% of all I have experienced. The office is easy to access and parking was available (although during weekends and tourist season it might be a good idea to allow 15 min to park before your appointment). Inside the waiting room was pleasant, the bathroom was clean and the treatment room smelled good (mild - not too strong) and had nice music. I arrived on time and Nicole was ready. She greeted me and invited me into a very cozy treatment room. After a short conversation (3 or 4 questions) about medical history, what brought me in and style preferences, she invited me to get on the table. Nicole started gently, probing and assessing to see what her training and my requests together suggested would be most helpful. From the first touch it was obvious that Nicole is a compassionate, sensitive, confident, experienced and well-trained massage therapist. The whole massage was relaxing and clearly theraputic. After the massage we discussed herbal supplements that might support my healing and I purchased a jar of Chawanprash. My personal reason for going in was to help recover from a serious UTI/kidney infection and get some support for side-effects from antibiotics (e.g. muscle aches, edema, constipation). Nicole knew exactly how to work with my body to ease into releasing the discomfort. She did a fabulous job of listening to my breath and following my body's clues about when to go deeper, linger longer or move on. As I walked out I noticed several things: 1. I could feel my deep muscle aches were gone. 2. I could see that there was a reduction of edema. 3. I knew already that I would be going back soon. BOTTOM LINE: If you want a truly therapeutic massage in Mendocino, you will be doing yourself a favor to go see Nicole.
