Sean from SYNRG SOLAR helped solve a problem that other Solar companies weren't willing or able to do with our metal shingle roofing. Not all companies are willing to do a slightly tougher job. He was always keeping us up to date on the progress of all parts of the install, even frequently stopping by to see what has been done and needs to be done. Install is clean and neat. I would highly recommend giving Sean a call first for your Solar install.

I got bids from a few solar installers before deciding to go with SYNRG. This was not the lowest bid, but a couple of factors set it apart from the others I received. I liked the idea of using one company for the installation and all the equipment, and I wanted the best quality, so SunPower made sense to me. Secondly, Sean Demarinis really impressed me from the start. I felt like he gave me honest advice and did not try to upsell me on anything. At no point did I feel under pressure, unlike with some of the other companies I talked to. Since the installation, Sean also really went the extra mile in ensuring we were happy and followed up with SunPower on a couple of issues and made sure we received our SGIP incentive from SCE. Now we have the equipment installed I am very happy with the performance. The panels are performing as well as I expected and are already paying for themselves with the reduction in our SCE bills. The system looks good on the roof. We spent the extra to get the battery at the time of installation, and I am happy we did that. Over the last couple of months, we have had 4 power outages which have been barely noticeable since the backup power has covered us. Our peak time usage has been practically zero since having it installed, even during the recent record-breaking heatwave when we were all asked to cut back on energy usage. We did have a couple of issues with some of the electrical work after the installation, but these were resolved quickly, again thanks to Sean for following up with SunPower service. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend SYNRG Solar to anyone wanting a high-quality system and great customer service.

Sean at SYNRG and his team were FANTASTIC! When we first called to get info and a quote, Sean seemed very open and honest about presenting and discussing system options. We decided to go with this company as the panels were among the highest producing on the market, with excellent customer ratings and their communication had been top notch. The whole process went so smoothly from there. Our system looks great and our electric bill is more than covered. We expect to have the system paid for in 5 years at this rate. Thank you SNRGY for all your hard work and exceptional professionalism!!!!

My wife and I were very adamant to get the best quality equipment for the best price for our solar system. We had done plenty of research on our own, and had a great idea of what we wanted, but everyone that we had spoken to for estimates were trying to sell us a system that was not exactly what we wanted. Synrg had not only given us the best estimate, but made the biggest effort to accommodate all of our concerns and give us the best unbiased information. Everything was done with the utmost skill expected of a professional. There were a couple hiccups, but it was handled quickly. Project was completed faster than what I was expecting, even through COVID. Thank you again to the Synrg team!

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

After we decided to move forward, the process was handled professionally from start to finish. Nick helped dial in the system design and made sure everything made sense for our home, and Mark oversaw the install side and kept things moving smoothly. The crew showed up when they said they would, treated our home with care, and cleaned up at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. Sunergy was doing its best to meet the large number of orders for solar systems, but it became clear that their resources were strained. Compounding that issue, Sunergy reported delays in receiving panels and micro-inverters from their suppliers, all which delayed the date of installation. Communications with some of the project managers was frustrating, but I eventually was assigned a knowledgable and responsive PM. I'll give them a pass on all of these issues, chalking it up as a one-time event, and instead focus on the end product. Despite the supply issues, I eventually received delivery of the REC solar panels and Enphase microinverters specified in the contract. The contract installers were courteous, worked efficiently, cleaned up the site at the end of the installation, and did a professional job. The city inspector granted a Permission-to-Operate without issues. I really like the Enphase monitoring app which is well designed and shows summary and real-time status of the system. The sales representative said the job including PTO would likely be done in October and assured me that it would be done before December 31. It is now late July 2026. The permit was submitted to the Buildings Department in October 2025 and I still do not have an installation date. I have over 40 single spaced pages of communications (email, text, phone) with various representatives from Sunergy, but I will not bore with details. Here are the main takeaways: First, the amount of turnover at a company is incredible. I have had 7 project managers. Unsurprisingly, I have to restart from scratch with each project manager because they do not seem to have a record keeping system. Second, they do not pay attention to details. I had to raise concerns about their proposed design which would not have worked for my property on three separate occasions. Each time, I had to raise the same concern and they reacted as if this was the first time they heard about it. This issue is related to point #1 above. Third, their communication is excellent when they want you to pay for a milestone. Once you pay, most project managers and senior leaders are unresponsive. Fourth, they obfuscate and employ delay tactics. I have been told since October that my installation date is just around the corner. They are sticking with this line even now. I asked how they determine where a job lands in their queue. They insist the primary criteria is how past-due a contract is. I asked how many contracts are more past-due than my own (~1 year). They refuse to tell me. They also say it is impossible to provide a firm installation date because there are "so many factors" to consider. I suspect they are either prioritizing jobs that have a larger margin or are nearing bankruptcy and stringing people along until they go belly up. Fifth, some of their representatives knowingly lie. For instance, in October, I was given a choice: 1) stick with the original panels and install in 2026 with a workaround involving a third-party company to receive the tax credit, or, 2) install another kind of solar panel by December. I chose the latter because I did not want to deal with a third party company. In late December, I was told they never had the other panels in stock and that I must proceed with option #1 with assurance that installation would occur by February or March. The failure to install the panels on the planned installation date in late April is an even more egregious example of an outright lie. The day before installation, the weather forecast predicted rain. I wrote them to ask what would happen if it rained. Should I still expect the panels to still be dropped off in my driveway? When would installation be rescheduled? A couple days later they called and used the rain as an excuse but subsequently said they needed to work out some more details. They clearly did not have the technicians or materials to install on that day and never informed me until after the installation date. Obviously, three months later and I still do not have a new installation date set. I now have a responsive project manager, but that person is just the messenger. Their senior team continues to make excuses and I am no closer to getting an installation date than I was in mid-October 2025. I WOULD NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY. ZERO STARS IF I COULD.

They installed a high-quality system that has performed extremely well over the years. At one point, both of our inverters experienced a manufacturer-related issue. In fact, Solar Optimum identified the problem before we even realized something was wrong. They worked directly with the manufacturer to secure a replacement inverter at no cost and handled the installation quickly and professionally. When it came time to replace our roof, we didn't hesitate to reach out to Solar Optimum again. Their GAF Master Elite certification and the advantages of having the same company manage both the solar and roofing work provided tremendous peace of mind. The warranty benefits are excellent, and the roofing warranty is transferable, which adds real value and is something many roofing companies do not offer. We recently completed a full solar removal, reroof, and solar reinstallation project with the Optimum team, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. The entire project was completed in about a week, exactly in line with the schedule that was provided at the start. The crews showed up on time, worked hard, communicated well, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day despite the significant amount of work involved. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and well-managed. It's rare to find a company that delivers this level of service over a relationship spanning more than a decade. We couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend Solar Optimum and Roofing Optimum.

There were cheaper quotes for the system I wanted, but they didn't quite meet the aforementioned requirements (one, although competent, was way too new to feel comfortable with). Another competitor, probably the biggest one in Southern California, came out for a presentation, but their package was strictly a lease and didn't make much sense at all for me. The point of solar panels is to save money, and the projected money I would save was completely offset by the monthly payment. So, I decided to buy my panels outright, along with the Tesla Powerwall 3. It all was pretty pricey, but I will qualify for the federal rebate since the purchase was before the end of 2025. At least that's what I think. I was assured that I would qualify if I had a fully paid invoice before the end of 2025; although there was some other talk about showing proof of operation before the year ended. Solar Optimum couldn't provide me with a definitive answer, but my CPA said a fully paid invoice would work just fine. We'll see. The whole process began around 5 months ago. It started off with a rep coming out for a site inspection in order to put together a plan for me. That went pretty smoothly. Communication was primarily via email and phone. Their main office is on the Glendale/Burbank border. I went a couple of times to drop correspondence off. Once they put the plan together and I signed off on it, the physical installation came a few months later. That took only a day and it looked pretty clean and professional. The next stage was for Edison, my electricity provider, to come out and install the adapter. But that took a couple of months for them to even get here, and when they did, it turned out they couldn't install it at all because the adapter was damaged. The installers had placed it in a bag, but didn't secure it properly. Unfortunately, water from the autumn rains got into the bag and damaged it. So, it took almost another month to replace the adapter and have another Edison tech come out to inspect and install it. The last step is to have the city come out to give a final inspection and to give the permit to operate. As of today, late December, the inspection has yet to be done and the solar panels are just sitting there, inoperable. I understand there was a lot of orders for solar as people were rushing to get their purchases in before the 2025 federal rebates ended. But it's been 5 months and I've already fully paid for a solar panel system that hasn't been even been turned on yet. I don't really blame Solar Optimum since I'm really on Edison's and the city's time, but it is frustrating having to wait so long. Once it is turned on, I'll update this review.

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.
