    Tofu with Broccoli
    Kate Y.

Ordered for the first time and picked up. Tried: - fresh lime soda: tart and refreshing; you get about 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice and a can of plain seltzer - chicken momo: about 8 tasty steamed chicken dumplings that come with a creamy vinegar sauce - tofu with broccoli sauteed in a white sauce: tasty and comforting (reminds me of a chicken pot pie consistency); for the price, I wish the portion was bigger The menu is big - I'm intrigued by the Hong Kong items, and look forward to trying them.

I ordered the Unagi Don Gozen ($42)- it came with a whole tray of different delicious items, with the star of the show being a generous amount of unagi (eel) over rice. The eel was cooked very well and the rice was flavorful with a bit of sweetness. There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

The restaurant had a nice interior, fancy bar, lots of arts and Cuban vibes all around. They had booth seating by the window that had good view of Hudson Terrace and I-9. We started our lunch with appetizer sampler that came with empanadas, croquettes, bao bans and potstickers. I liked both the empanadas (beef and chicken), the chicken potstickers were also good. Ham croquettes and the bao buns with shredded beef were average. For entree I ordered the Rabo Encendido (braised oxtail stew). It came with three pieces of bone with plenty of meat on them, on side of rice and beans. I loved the taste of the oxtail and the stew, was flavorful and meat was tender. I also got to try the seafood paella which lacked flavor, rice was so bland. The chicken & waffle's waffle was good but the fried chicken pieces were so basic. I got the mango mojito (non-achohol) that was so tasty, I ordered two of them. Our server was super nice, did an excellent job throughout the lunch. All staff members were friendly. Food came out in short intervals.

It has 2 levels. The staff were all nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the seafood paella was under seasoned. Very blend. Did not give me the saffron taste at all. Portion of seafood was generous. But again, blend. Chicken and waffle was dry. At least the chicken was seasoned on this one. Appetizer sampler was not bad. Get to try beef/chicken empanadas, chicken baos, pork croquettes, friend chicken dumplings. Ox tail was also blend to me. Overall the food was underwhelming but the service and atmosphere were nice.

It was fun watching the carts go by and choosing what looked good. We also asked for specific items off the dim sum menu and they would find it (or make it) and bring it out. There was a 2nd menu with other dishes that could be prepared on request. We enjoyed the Hong Kong fried lobster, which was chopped into manageable pieces. We had a bunch of different dumplings, steamed buns, rice rolls, little fried fish, saucy clams, meat filled pastries, chinese broccoli, sesame balls, surprisingly chunky mango pudding, and more. The variety was good and it was a fun experience to try a bunch of things. The individual items were still fairly large and some could be cut and shared. It is BYOB, so we had brought some prosecco to celebrate some birthdays. We took some leftovers home, and also ordered a few items to-go.

The restaurant was impeccably I mean, impeccably clean maybe that has something to do with the fact that the point of the owners was in the military we were greeted with a friendly. How are you? I said I'm hungry. He laughed. We were seated quickly menus were presented multiple choices. After some deliberation we settled on the Lamb with red peppers and onions and Indian spices, the biryani goat and the eggplant dish with Indian spices the base of the eggplant was a curry base. After about 10 minutes, the food arrived. My first glance was there's not hardly any food on the table, but the copper bowls that the food was served in were deep. We also ordered the garlic chili naan the biryani goat was absolutely impeccably over the top. The rice was individual kernels. incredible saffron infused with subtle spices, which I was not able to ascertain their origin , but they were harmoniously balanced in taste the goat melted in your mouth. There were a few bones, and of course, I like to eat meat off the bones I was in hog heaven, and then reached for the Lamb, red bell pepper and onion with Indian spices I had asked for medium heat, and thank goodness they gave us yogurt to soothe the small fire in my mouth. The limb was very well seasoned. When you took a bite of the lamb, bell pepper and onion it was a crescendo of all of these spices going off in your mouth and the vegetables had a nice subtle crisp crunch to them. Which even added more texture to the bite, we also had the garlic chili naan which came out hot. It was absolutely spectacular tender, warm, chewy subtle chili spice nice background garlic notes with Mortgage. Could you ask for. As we paid the bill and walked out I turned around and noticed that they had received the best Indian food award in Fresno for 2025 and I must tell you it's the best I've ever had in Fresno if you are a Indian food lover this place is a must my first bite of the food I use the word wow and that's how I judge over the top food.
