Back in December 2015 my 2nd stock turbo went out on my 2011 cummins with 113000 miles. I called around Reno and everyone said call Tim at T and A performance. I had done a few upgrades already and didn't want to go back to the stock Turbo. When I talked to Tim and Paul they really knew there stuff. Tim put in Aurora 3000 and 5000 compound turbos as well as some head studs. This job was quite the task for them as they had to do a lot of custom work to make it fit perfect. I was truly impressed. and the performance of this set up is unreal. Better mileage, lower EGT. Well back in July 2016, the bracket that holds the Turbos on cracked and broke in half. I called up the shop and they said bring it in. They removed and replaced the bracket no charge. Also had them do a set of Power stop brakes while it was there. Well in January 2017 the bracket holding the turbos Broke again. (This is a part supplied by ATS and comes in the Turbo kit!) called up Tim and they got the truck in and fixed it again. Well now it is May 2017 and the Bracket snapped again. Called up T and A, and they fit me right in, removed and replaced the Turbo bracket. I am truly impressed with Tims shop and that they make it right and deal with the supplier not asking me to get involved. I feel bad they have to keep fixing this bracket on this Turbo set up they sold me. But they keep their word and stand by their work. Hard to find anyone who provides a service as good as them! It has been tough having to rent cars here and there to get to work when the truck is down. You would think you would be compensated for the inconvenience of the part they recommend always breaking.lol But I wouldn't have anyone else work on it! Thanks Tim read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences with this shop. Since moving to the Reno area with my inherited 7.3L F250 I've wanted a reliable shop to do the work I don't have the resources, time, or skill to do myself. The staff here provided everything. They've often mentioned things like "You may want to have x looked at next service" that other shops in town have tried to up-sell for through fear tactics. It's a welcome change of pace to see a shop being honest and not up-selling constant unneeded service. They've saved me unneeded repairs to brakes, ball joints, etc. that other shops in town have lied about being out of tolerance or unable to be worked on. T&A has facts to back up their claims and openly shares diagnostic info when asked to prove they are correct. If they outsource something to another shop for repair they will honestly tell you and tell you which shop they will be using. I wouldn't trust another shop with my vehicles. Outside of repairs their customer service is amazing. They always call with updates before continuing with service that may change the estimate cost. Most of the calls are usually letting me know something will cost less or doesn't need to be replaced yet and convincing me to NOT spend money on it when I don't need to. Went in to get a quote to have an EGT probe installed 6.0 Powerstroke. Brian and Virginia were great. Tim was in the lobby and asked me if I had the probe and I told him ya at home and I could install it just didn't have the tap to thread the hole once it's drilled. Tim asked me if I had 15 to 20 minutes and if so he would drill the hole, tap it, and put a plug in it until I was ready to install the probe. I said sure I had time. When he was done he asked me if I wanted him to set up my programmer like he does for all his other customers and I said sure. Tim set all the alarm setpoints for me explained IPR operations and some other 6.0 quirks to look for. When I asked him what I owed him for the tap and plug Tim said, "Don't worry about". Who does that? You just don't see that kind of Customer Service anymore! I know drilling a hole, tapping it, putting a plug in is not that big of a deal but it does take time and effort and for a small business that's money. To say "Don't worry about" is one thing, to take more time out of his day to explain things about my programmer and educate me on additional things to look for when I'm pulling my 5th wheel, that's going way over and about. Being a ASE Master Auto Technician for 38 years I kinda know a bit about repairing vehicles. And so does Paul and his crew at T&A !!! I retired 2 years ago due to arthritis in my hands and just being tired of an industry that was more focused on finding ways to take money from customers rather than solve customer's problems. I bought a used Ford E-350 diesel ambulance for my business and figured I'd probably need to drop 4-5 grand into it to make it reliable. (Since I spend 100+ hours a week running my new biz, I don't have the time available to work on my vehicles, so I wanted someone else to go over "the beast"...) Paul and his team went over it with a fine toothed comb, did the ALL the maintenance it required, checked on a bunch of things I was concerned about...AND got it done for under a thousand bucks including diagnostics, repairs AND getting it smog tested !!! I have never seen someone walk away from an extra 3-4 grand "on the table" and not find SOMETHING to charge for. Swear to gawd, this just doesn't happen. If I could give more stars I would. I called around to many other shops looking for help and every time I was told talk to Tim at T&A. When I called Tim was busy so I left a message for him and told him call back when he had time no rush. The next day he called me and spent 30 mins on the phone walking me though everything. When I couldn't make it work I called back to tell him I was going to bring my truck to the shop. I brought the truck to him a week before my appointment and in his spare time he was not only able to figure out what was wrong but have the truck fixed much faster than I had expected. When I picked up the truck Tim and Brian made sure that I was 100% happy and answered all of my questions and then some. An amazing shop with guys who truly enjoy what they do. And then after I got home I popped the hood to make sure everything was good as I have done with all my vehicles after being in a shop only to find that they had completely cleaned the engine compartment. Tim Anderson knows our E350 Van intimately. Not only is it a bitch to work on, it has the infamous 6.0. T & A has kept this vehicle from being very expensive lawn art! From overhauling the engine the way it should of been built by Ford to an ATS transmission and multiple bigger & smaller jobs on it...they have kept it going down the road!! Yesterday we had to have it towed into T & A's shop with a bad coolant leak...not only did they find the problem quickly but found the part, fixed it and got us back on the road that afternoon!! T&A Performance just does it right. Willing to go the extra mile and make sure that my vehicle is reliable and most importantly, safe. My 6.0 (yes, a 6.0) had every issue under the sun (common, I know). But they worked with me to make it right. Some repair estimates I got from other places were just for factory replacements. Well clearly the factory didn't work the first time, so I'm not going to put that back in. These guys are knowledgeable of not only the factory set up, but getting the right aftermarket parts to prevent future occurrences. Tim (the owner) took time to explain and show me what was happening with similar parts that had failed on other vehicles, so I could have complete understanding. I have a 2004 dodge 2500 diesel. I was referred to T&A to handle some of the modifications that i wanted to do. My truck has had some extensive work done over the last couple of years and i couldnt be more pleased. From chipping, fuel system, recalls, suspension, compound turbos and more. The work and level of care is the best I have ever seen. The mechanics always answer questions and concerns I have and guide me in the right direction. The customer service i have received is the best by far and T&A seems to pride themselves on giving the best service and doing the best work. The job isnt finished until i was satisfied. I am amazed at the work they have done. My truck runs better than when I bought it. I just moved to the area and needed some work done to my 2014 super duty. Went in needing an oil change, inspection (driving to Alaska), coolant light and problem with slow acceleration. They were polite, clean, professional and did all the work in a timely manner and were fair in their pricing. They spent a lot of time talking about the oil I was using and how often I should be replacing it. The slow acceleration was caused by a hose from the air filter $60.00 part and .5 to install. If they weren't honest they could have screwed me for a lot more than that. I was surprised and impressed to find out that they steam cleaned under the hood. First time I have really wanted to post a review. I found T&A performance after thinking about buying a new truck or fix up my 2000 F250 with 260,000 miles. I am sure glad I went the second route. I had T&A go through everything. Well after new shocks, hubs, chip and gages, transmission rebuild with ATS parts and trans controller, air ride seats, new brakes, HPOP, plus basic maintenance. They cleaned up everything and have it running awesome. Just got back from hunting pulling my side by side. She can handle any grade at full speed limit and rides smooth over washboard roads. I broke down my 2007 Dodge highly modified 6.7 Cummings up on Donner Pass this spring. I was towed to T&A on recommendation of tow truck driver. I had horses and a big camper and was a long way from home. These fellows Tim Anderson especially are top notch trouble shooters and solved a very complicated electrical and computer issue. They cleaned up wiring issues that had been done poorly. When there were minor issues later they spent a great deal of time on the phone with me and other shops near home trying to resolve them and did. This was all at no charge. T&A did right by my best guy, Max Merlich, when his truck just died going up Donner Pass with a loaded horse trailer and camper. The truck spent nearly a month at their facility, having the wiring gremlins exorcised. Best part was they dealt with Max largely over the phone, and when it was time to pick the truck up they arranged for us to get it outside of business hours, due to us coming in from Central Oregon to pick it up and take it home. These guys are honest, and I was referred to them by Triple A. I had it towed there by a crook shop that tried to rip me off for 1,800 and could have destroyed my f-250 engine because they drained it of oil. These guys caught the real problem, and thank god I towed it there to fix. Don't go to Reno Vulcanizing, go to this place. Heading out of town on our annual family reunion camping trip to ID. Our battery light came on our 02 7.3L Ford. Called T & A Performance they were able to determine over the phone our alternator was going out. Tim stayed late to replace with a high output alternator and gave the truck a quick once over. I've used T and A Performance several times over the years and find them to be of impeccable integrity. I took my truck in suspecting it needed new fuel injectors.
