We'll pull equity, put new panel & wiring; have 3 inspections, new outlets (we only had 3 good sockets), walls (which were missing) & paint; pull more equity, new plumbing to detached garage, & build ADU; then rent it out, pull more equity & finish the main house." I've heard a lot of exp'd ppl quote projects over the decades, & not 1 had the comprehensive approach, knowledge, positive reassuring attitude, compassion & empathy of Danny. His crew have all been very respectful, kind & efficient, & they positively reflect on him, & also the company. My panel wiring & walls are beautiful. They've answered any questions I've had, & even worked around our unexpected hospice situation for my father-in-law, & his probate, which caused major delays - they never one nagged me, but rather checked in, to finish. Next morning -- and I mean next morning -- I've got a crew showing up at dawn, apparently allergic to the idea of "waiting for financing." I tell Ori, "Hey, genius, maybe we should hold off until the bank actually approves this thing?" He says, "No problem, the finance company's got it covered any minute now." Sure enough, he has someone in "finance" email me a copy of the loan application -- and tries to pass it off as approval. Nice try, Sparky. I tell him flat-out, "Don't start." Two minutes later -- bang, bang, bang! I hear noises on my roof. Run outside, and there are guys up there with pitchforks like it's a thatched cottage in medieval England. I yell, "Get the F off my roof!" That's one very fast way to lose a customer. A couple of weeks later, I noticed they'd already dug up three spots around the house before I caught them. So I call/text Ori several times and tell him to fix it. ........Crickets...... Nobody answers their phones. When I finally get a reply to my email, it's from someone in Kenya. Apparently, that's where their customer service lives now, because God forbid they hire someone who's actually in the same hemisphere as the roofs they destroyed. We added 80 square feet: this involved a lot of new footings and support (the necessary stuff that you don't see). We relocated bathrooms, relocated laundry, removed a brick fireplace, added a room, painted the exterior. If there's something to be done in a renovation we did it and OKO Builders was amazing!! Zaff gave us a detailed breakdown of what each step was and the cost prior to starting. We rented a home about 30 mins away and daily got updates from Zaff, he FaceTimed when needed, told us what was happening each week and finished well with in his time frame and completely with in his budget he gave us. Yes we added things on during the process but he told us exactly what that would cost and pros and cons to doing it or not. When some surprises hit and we had to think of adjustments he took time and really gave us his thoughts and ideas for fixes. He was there on weekends for things and always available for questions. His communication is amazing!! We created a very detailed dining room with lots of panel and trim work and his team executed it beautifully! His tile guy followed a "star pattern" we mapped out for a bathroom floor and did exquisite work on our master tile all lining up. His stone guy also an artist with beautiful edge work on our soapstone counters. And we did a wallpaper in our entrance that again he had an amazingly talented installer! His teams were always professional and clean and when I would come with my young kids were so sweet to them. I can not recommend Zaff enough. He has a calm personality that took any stressful times out of this entire six month process. Really fantastic all around and great quality work on everything he does.
