I contracted Shane to remodel my garage into an office space and small kitchen. If you don't take care of your client, your client will not take care of you! This guy says one thing and then does another. His communication absolutely sucks. And to top it all off he doesn't finish his work 100%. Wet room (kitchen): ~ caulking where the sink meets the wall (a small area) and around the window ~ 5 tiles that are chipped ~ grouting that needs to be cleaned up ~ the floor, tile, looks dirty. need to be cleaned ~ there are many tiles that are scratched in several places ~ paint on the floor and still on the sink area ~ paint towards the bottom of the walls does not look even (from eye level up paint is even, from eye level down paint does not look evenly painted) Office: ~ paint at the bottom of the walls does not look even (from eye level up paint is even, from eye level down paint does not look evenly painted) I've emailed him on March 22 and received a response on March 23, an unprofessional email blaming me for him not getting his work done and making untrue accusations. From the beginning Addison takes great care to understand what you really want as the client and creates a plan tailored to your needs and your budget. One of the things that I noticed and really appreciated was that Addison always gave us options and would go down the list of pros and cons for each one. Also, in my previous experience I have had contractors who would give me a low bid and then all of these hidden costs would start coming up or they would constantly have to redo and fix mistakes due to their poor planning. Designs and Applications really goes the extra mile to make sure there is a well thought out plan in place and it really ends up saving money. Our house totally screamed seventies and really needed serious updating. They came in and assessed the house and gave us a consultation and we immediately felt comfortable and like we were in good hands. We decided to knock out the wall between the dining room and kitchen to open it up and create an open/modern feel, refinishing of our wood floors, remodel of three bathrooms, and remodel the fireplace. The job they did on our wood floors was AMAZING! They used to be the super dated wood and they ended up looking like dark modern wood floors. We were really happy with every aspect of the remodel, but really appreciated how the crew respected our home, always cleaned up after themselves, were courteous and respectful, and above else did very clean and precise work.

Beside painting, Designs and Application does general contracting work. I had an incompetent drywall team who did sloppy work. Thank goodness for Addison, who came to my rescue. In addition, he moved my can lights which were position incorrectly by my electricians. Replaced the drywall, taped and mudded the patch in a seamless fashion. He proceeded to skim coated multiple layers of mud, while sanding, priming, re coating more mud to eliminate numerous flaws. Afterwards, he primed and painted/ sprayed my entire interior with two full coats of primer with back roll. Next day, he applied / sprayed two full coats of paint with back roll. Whatever his technique was, it solved the problem for my large area open floor plan ceiling with numerous angles of natural light. I would recommend Addison for any scope of interior or exterior work you may have. He's fair in his pricing and does an awesome job.
