My wife hit a pothole and destroyed two tires and bent two rims. I took the car to them and they honored the road hazard warranty. I don't have to tell most of you that a lot of businesses do their best to avoid honoring them. They did a great job with the repairs and they had it done in a little over 24 hours. I was thrilled! After that repair, I took my old truck in because the steering was too loose and the heater wasn't working properly. They were unable to fix the heater, but they fixed the front end very quickly. We had a fuel solenoid that was intermittently going bad and causing a service light to go off, I had ordered the part but was afraid to put it on myself. It was on the dashboard in a box marked "fuel solenoid" and I forgot to ask about it when the car was taken in for service. After a little while, the mechanic came in and asked us if we wanted the fuel solenoid installed since we had the right part in the vehicle. We were like, absolutely, and they put it right in. Our months of the service light coming on and off have been resolved and our AC is recharged for less than $90! The freon used who indicate a leak that will be exposed with UV dye in the freon if the air gets warm again. This is the second time that Dave's has cost less and done more than other shops for our vehicles. I think that Dave has a mother or a wife or sisters that he respects and appreciates because I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of as some shops do to women. Dave's Auto is prompt, quick, and honest!

When they called me to let me know that the work was done, I asked if they offered a military discount. They said that they did, but they had already applied the Ball State student discount, which was the same. Although I only spoke to them over the phone, I am pleased with the work that they did and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

When I went to pay, the manager Eric and Customer Service Rep Mary Lou had looked up warranty information and my bill was only for $430! Who does that? That's what you call CUSTOMER SERVICE, something I'm glad still exists in some places. It felt like they did something with adjusting my brakes, too, in their total inspection process. They didn't say anything about this or charge me, but I'm pretty sure my brakes are feeling better, too. Good people!

I pay a monthly deductible through Carshield to cover certain repairs. I dropped off my vehicle and provided them with my coverage contract. It clearly states to drop off the vehicle at a certified mechanic and that the mechanic will reach out for coverage. They failed to do this and completed the repairs so now I'm out of pocket $370 in repairs instead of a having a $100 deductible. We don't pay for this policy for shits and giggles or to get fucked over in the long run because someone failed to do their job! Their excuse, "we made 2 calls to Carshield and was on hold for over 30 mintues". They also stated, "Carshield never called us back and we don't have enough time to stay on the phone and verify parts are covered". I could understand that to some extent, BUT THEY LITERALLY HAD MY VEHICLE FOR A FULL WEEK. If they had any trouble verifying whether the parts are covered then they should have made this very clear and put the responsibility back on me to decide whether to continue with the repairs. This wasn't done and the repairs were completed before preauthorization. Consider taking your business somewhere else where they will provide you with better customer service. A place that has enough common decency to do their job thoroughly. A place that understands their responsibilities of being a mechanic and not just someone looking to get paid!! Even after this happened, like a dumbass, I provided them with an additional $250 in repairs on my second vehicle yet no one suggested giving me any discounts or attempted to make it right what so ever!
