We were warmly welcomed by a hostess this morning who explained how all of the meats and veggies…read moreand the eggs are all produced by their local farm that is 15 miles from here and the bread is all homemade here too. And the coffee is also roasted locally. So yeah, this was a pretty neat stop in very rural Missouri as we're headed across on US-60 from the one side to the next. After seated, we took a look at the menu. Options for both of us were easy. Mrs. K. is a connoisseur of French Toast. As she doesn't eat meat, this is her usual "go to" for breakfast so that was her easy choice at The Ranch House this morning. Me, I'm on keto so I was able to have their three-egg omelet with all the veggies plus added steak sausage. Coffee arrived first and it was excellent. Just a simple drop, it was rich and hot and perfection. A little bit later, breakfast arrived. I very much enjoyed the omelet as it was tasty. I could really taste the eggs in here today. Yum! Mrs. K. said "This is the best French Toast that I have ever had" and that's really saying something as she's enjoyed dozens if not a couple hundred portions across my Yelp career. Wow. Breakfast was around $40 with tip. And afterward, we wandered around the small town of Van Buren for a bit. A truly lovely stop. [Review 669 of 2026 - 523 in Missouri - 25850 overall]

From start to finish was an amazing experience! We visited the gift shop and looked at all the fun stuff on the walls while waiting to be seated, even though it was a packed Sunday afternoon we only waited about 10 minutes, we sat and were promptly greeted by Adam, he was attentive, nice and on top of everything!! We were unaware of what the shareables were, but got a great surprise!! All were delicious!!! Definitely a 10/10 thanks so much!!! And the young man with the desserts (didn't get his name) needs a raise! He knew all about each dessert and was quite the salesman!!

The food is super delicious and it comes out piping hot. There's plenty of seating and if you come during the week, you'll probably be led straight to an open booth without waiting. The large dining areas have extremely high ceilings so even with a large number of people one can still carry on a conversation with their friends. There's lots of interesting pictures that adorn the walls and one could probably spend hours just looking at them. Not to leave out - this is a FUN PLACE! Be on the lookout for the "roll throwing employee" who pushes their cart of rolls around the dining area. If you make eye contact, you better be ready for an incoming roll, ha! I ordered their 16 ounce ribeye. It was cooked just right, seasoned perfectly, and I really enjoyed it. All of the employees were friendly and polite. They also have a gift shop that's worth checking out. If you've never been here, I highly recommend you check them out.
