Walked into their salon which was almost empty, was completely ignored and when I finally got help from a male who I'm assuming based on other reviews is the owner he asked what I needed and I said a fill, he was examining my hand for a while while talking to the other workers in their language, once he was done he pretended to check the schedule and told me they're all booked for the day! Completely ridiculous and extremely rude, they lost a potential customer and a great tipper! read more

I got a pink and white full set by Amber and she did a wonderful job!! She was very gentle with my cuticles without me even having to ask. She also listened to what I wanted. I have a job where I type a lot so I need my nails short (I can't tell you how many time I say I want them short and other places don't listen) and she did exactly that. I didn't feel intimidated to ask for them shorter or to round a corner a little more. She was also very friendly. No awkward silences here. The prices are very reasonable. I get my lashes and brows done in the same business complex where T & L Nails is located. I couldn't get in with my regular nail and pedicure techs. When I arrived to get my brows done at the other business I noticed T & L Nail Spa and decided to yelp them and I saw wonderful and mixed reviews. I decided to give them a try. I was concerned about sanitation and technical skills. I'm so happy that I gave them a try. Tina and MiMi were wonderful! This nail place is a no frills, not your glamour place ( and I've been to places like that and the work wasn't the best and with all the different gel polishes that peeled off, not lasting ) T & L have a certain amount of gel colors which are some of the colors I do love, but with that being said the quality of their work Amazing! and the sheen and gloss and shape of my pedicure and gel nails are absolutely beautiful!!! Came here based on the great reviews and was very disappointed. If you don't want to catch an infection, don't come to T&L nail salon. As soon as I entered, I was welcomed, asked what I wanted, and to choose a color. They have a small variety of colors; didn't see the colors I wanted which really suck. Also the older lady who did my pedi cut me several times on several toes. She then poured acetone on my toes, and omg it burned like a mf! The cut was pretty bad, it kept bleeding and she just kept pouring products that stung my toes. After she finished me, she didn't clean the tools. She just wiped them and went to the next lady to do her pedicure. Have to make a Dr appt now to check up on the cuts and see if I caught any infections. Honestly, I don't know who else she was using those tools on before me. Now onto my finger nails, everything I ask for they were unable to do and then stated that it's good not to get it done because it's getting matte nails is old and people always hates it. When I had ask what they recommend or what's in, they couldn't say as well instead she try to sell me into getting other things done. Not only that but the nail polish was horrible. There are bubbles and nail dust on my nail and the lady added the top coat but didn't even get the sides and top well. I can tell where when the nail polish is and where the top coat is. In the end, I settled cause I didn't want to stay any longer and left. Won't be returning. Waste on my money and time. Have to redo my nails elsewhere now. read more

Jon is the BEST! He worked in a salon in the Galleria at Tyler for many years and was everyone's favorite nail guy! He and his wife now own T&L and he is still the best. He is always polite, fast yet thorough and gives you exactly what you ask for. The way he does your nails is outstanding and so natural looking people ask me where I had them done everywhere I go. His prices are low for the quality he gives you and he takes his business seriously by keeping appointments on time and making every customer feel special. I highly recommend this place. I love this place! I go every two weeks for my pink & white fill. John is my manicurist and is excellent! There has been times where I would go four weeks without a fill and my nails would not lift and still I would get compliments! My mother in law recommended this place to me. I will not go anywhere else now because of john and his wife amber! You will not be disappointed! I find it funny when I read bad reviews on how the gel nail polish doesn't last.... I've been going to John for years for my nails. I won't let anyone else do them. I was happy when he moved to his own place, T&L Nails. John is completely professional and I've never had anyone do as good a job as he does. You can't even see the grow-out as it comes because he does such a good job! Tips are slim and natural. He choses bed colour based on your own, and asks what you want. Prices are competitive. Pedicures are great; I go to Tina, and love her! Everyone is super-friendly. The ONLY reason the place doesn't get a full five stars is that if you are looking for a really pretty, high tech-looking salon, this isn't it. I came here on a Saturday morning and I walked right in and they took me right away, the service was good. The girl doing my nails was nice and took her time with everything. Unfortunately 3 days after getting my GEL MANICURE done my nails were already chipping. This was the first time I ever came here and I am truly disappointed. Went to this salon on a whim today, and I'm very glad I did. It was empty, but it was also early morning (around 11am). Very clean and well kept salon. I got a gel manicure and a spa pedicure with callus removal. Both girls were very thorough and didn't rush at all. It's been a while since my last mani/pedi and I work with my hands so my nails weren't in the best of shape. But now they look and feel absolutely amazing. John has been doing my gel nails for over 6 years. Prior to that he put acrylics on me. I am VERY PICKY, and he does such beautiful work! I like my nails fairly short, thin, and very natural. While getting a GEL manicure, the manicurist noticed that there was something wrong with the gel she was using..... but she kept working. When she finished there were dark streaks on my nails most likely bc the product she was using was too old. The owner said I had to pay for it or wait and have them redone. I went back to have them redone and the different gel I chose started chipping two days later. I paid a cheap price but in actuality it was a waste of money. This business lacks quality....you can tell just from the lack of upkeep. The price seems affordable but you're paying a lot for products that are old and expired. read more

John did my acrylics exactly how i wanted them! As thin as i like them and just the shape i wanted.
