Case 3, 28 years old male, LAPD, 08/09. I saw about a dozen acnes on his face. He told me his work was very stressful. I prescribed 2 bottles of Acne Detoxer. Have been going to Dr. Sun for over a year and he's been amazing throughout this entire time. He's been making personalized acne medicine for me and when I got awful hives, he even mixed herbal medicine geared for both curing the hives and my acne. Patient service needs improvement. The practitioner there is not very polite. For example, he answers multiple phone calls in the middle of a session with patients. He also makes rude comments about patient's medical condition. It is one thing to give medical advice, it is another to make patients feel bad about what they just confide in him to seek medical assistance. read more

It REALLY works! I have been having acne for years and now it almost gone after i tried here for just 2 months. The room doesn't seem big but it's pretty clean. I'm 66 years old, and needless to say I have had severe lower back and leg pains, among other nerve ailments like neuropothy. I have seen several neurologists and physical medicine specialists, and they prescribed physical therapy, pain medication, but my pain doctor recommended acupuncture. Since I live in Hollywood I decided to visit T & S Acupuncture, especially after reading the wonderful reviews. Needless to say, that after letting both Drs Sun and Tao work their magic for only a few sessions, my pain was becoming negligible and I am becoming more mobile. Both Drs. know how to treat people properly and it has been a pleasure being treated by them. We are also planning to use acupuncture to treat my Glaucoma as Dr. Sun has expertise in this area. DO NOT GO THERE HE is swindler. I made an appointment for my ance and when he saw me and just said oh you need to eat more vegetables and take my herbal medicine for 3-6 months. $35 per bottle but each bottle only last 5-7 days. I asked what happened after 3-6 months, will my skin be better? He said, " it is depends as long the ance does not ruin your face." I was like what??? Even right now my ance does not ruin my face, I can still go out without makeup. Then he charged $40 just for seeing him. I told him his secretary did not mention the fee and everywhere else is free consultation first time. He said whatever his secretary said does it count. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sun. I started seeing Dr. Sun 9 months ago after i was suffering from acne and hormonal imbalances. I've only been here once while passing through town, and saw Dr. Sun. He was extremely gentle, calming, and attentive. The morning after his treatment, my sciatica pain that had been getting worse every day began to improve. The treatment rooms are utilitarian, and seemed clean besides stains on the floor below the face hole in the treatment table. T & S Acupuncture is very highly recommended!! I went to them for help with my ear after my primary doctor and ear specialists could not figure out the problem without running extensive tests. The acupuncture and herbs helped my ear improve. Not only that, my allergies went away as well which kept my immunity high. I got sick less and I didn't have to take my allergy pills. I also got massages occasionally and these were also helpful. I did one facial and it improved my pores and evened out my skin tone. Dr. Sun & Dr. Tao are very nice and both do a very good job. I had never had acupuncture before and this place had gotten some great reviews, so I thought I would give it a try... whoops. Everything seemed okay at first. It's clean and, even though it's not the nicest office, it's a really peaceful atmosphere. Dr. Tao and I quickly discussed how it was my first session and where I had bad tension in my upper back, neck, and jaw and then she went right into it. The needles didn't hurt too badly as she inserted them, but definitely not the most comfortable experience. She put one in the tip of my head, which hurt a lot. At one point, she inserted a needle into the upper right side of my neck and my whole body lost it's sense of gravity and I felt like I was flying... I said something like, "Is that supposed to happen?" but I honestly can't remember how she responded because I was kind of loopy from that feeling. Soon I retained my sense of gravity and all of the needles were in, but the ones in my hands and my neck felt extremely sore. Dr. Tao then put some kind of lamp on the needles and left the room. The needles heated up and then my neck was in horrible pain and I could feel the base, the body and where the needle was entering my skin. I tried to wait it out, but I was very, very uncomfortable so I tried to say, "Excuse me!" but I felt like I couldn't move or speak too loudly without making it hurt worse and my voice was muffled by the cushion so she couldn't hear me. I tried moving my feet around to make noise, and I could hear her moving around outside, but I was trapped in there and in serious pain now. Then I began to have what I think was an anxiety attack. The ticking of the clock was echoing in my head, I felt like I was a butterfly being pinned down, I felt like I was in a horror movie, basically. My heart was beating, like, triple speed and then I couldn't help but cry because my neck, back, head, and hands were full of needles and they ALL hurt. The tenseness from crying was killing me, but I couldn't not cry because it hurt so badly, it was awful! After what felt like an eternity, Dr. Tao came back in and realized that I was not okay. I asked her if she could please take the needles out because they were painful, and she took them out slowly, one by one, and would always take the time to ask, "How about now?" Just get them outta me, lady! When she took the one out from the tip of my head I felt woozy again. She kept saying, "This never happens" when I would asked her if this reaction is common and why I felt so horrible. She gave me a short massage after she took the needles out, but my eyes were still pouring and that seemed to piss her off for some reason. After the short massage, she literally said, "Okay. You're done." and walked out of the room. What?! Excuse me, but I feel like I've just been tortured and had maybe my first real anxiety attack ever and I am STILL crying because I am so sore, and you leave with no explanation whatsoever?! I walked out and asked where the restroom was so that I could clean off my face (covered in mascara, a complete hot mess) and try to compose myself so that I could now walk home. When I came out to pay, I asked her why I felt like this and if people usually feel woozy, drained, and like they've been on a week long bender after a session of acupuncture. She just smiled like nothing was wrong and provided no real answers. I got the impression that she just wanted me out of there asap. I honestly can't believe I paid, but I was kind of out of it and I wasn't sure that she did anything wrong. I thought it may have just been me. When I left I called my mom and cried the whole way home, which made me look like a crazy person. I was out of it for a little while afterward and then I was just horribly sore for a few days. Now I am back to normal, with the same old tension that I had before I went in AND they never called me to verify my insurance information and give me my money back since I paid the full $80, when it was only supposed to be $40 with my co-pay.
