This salon is close to my house and the people there are very nice. However, on one visit the young man who did my nails took almost 2 hours and did a mediocre job. Last time I paid over $100... Way too much money as the prices have doubled since Covid. And she put my hand in the UV lamp my nail got nicked, and instead of redoing it she coated over the spot... within a day or two it was visible. With price is so high I expect perfection but they no longer even massage your arms and hands and a very short leg massage with the pedicure. If you're going to charge a lot, we're going to expect perfection. read more

They don't honor appointments and will still take walk-ins during your pre-scheduled appointment time, making you wait up to an hour, so, that right there makes this a pass. Also, their "Venmo" payments don't work. It's their way of saying they only want cash, so they just act like they aren't sure why it's not working. So second reason to pass. There are other salons that don't have these problems that are better suited to their clients needs. read more

i normally don't do yelp reviews unless they're a negative review. this review has been a first positive one, a nail salon to boot too. michael is AWESOME. he listens to whatever your wishes or desires are. he is very meticulous and clean and precise. i came in to fix my nails because they were too thick and too wide when i had them done (refer to the photos). when i told my nail tech at the salon i had them done to fix it, she had informed me that it's not doable and there cannot be anything to be done. i also had asked the first place i went to to fix my cuticles and she didn't. few days after, the nails started to lift. i probably would not be back to that establishment. michael had exceeded my expectation and his work is impeccable. i'm very pleased with how they turned out. read more

Unfortunately, when I came in and said I have an appointment at 9 am on Saturday (yesterday) they looked at me confused. They checked the schedule and I also didn't see my name on there. She asked what my appointment was for and I said gel manicure and gel pedicure and my friend was acrylic fill. I told them I made the appointment via Instagram. They took us in but they told me "we don't have time for a pedicure" I was annoyed as that's what I was already scheduled for and it was confirmed. read more

I have been coming to this salon for 16+ years. My last visit is my last time going - I didn't know about the change in ownership but I should have by not seeing a familiar face. Tyler did my nails two times - the first time the gel came off of two fingers and I had to go in to have them repaired (I'm a single working mom and do not have extr time for this) I should have known better before booking another appointment however I was desperate bc I had an event last minute. Anyway I was very tired and not paying much attention when I looked over and Tyler had CUT 4 of my nails on one hand - I had worked so hard to grow out my natural nails and he just cut them off!!!! I did not ask for him to cut them only to trim a little - he cut to the skin! His reasoning was because I said I wanted an almond shape and that he needed to add a fake tip for that... EXCUSE me I have never had an issue getting the shape I want before - ever. I told him I did not want tips that I don't like tips because they break off... things got very uncomfortable. I eventually was so sad that I allowed him to do the tips in an effort for them to look better. Just two days later they broke off - and three days later two more broke off (while changing a load of laundry!!!) Now I have had half broken nails for a week and a half because I don't have time to go and sit for an hour to fix them. Horrible experience and I won't be going back. Note** The salon and work stations look and feel unclean and dirty. It is gross. read more

Apparently there is a new owner. The service was terrible. Nobody acknowledged I was there waiting for my appointment, the man who got my tub ready for my pedicure scalded my feet, and was rude when I told him it was too hot. My "pedicure" was to include a massage on my feet and calves which he invested about 30 seconds on each leg. My toes do not look good. Very disappointing! I will follow Julie who was fired by the new owner, over to Paseo Nails and tell all of my lady friends to avoid Creative nails. read more

I'm very picky when it comes to my pedicures because I have very thick cuticles and I like these cut away. I said this to my person and he seemed to understand but he just routinely did my cuticles. I also am a connoisseur of foot massages. So when asked specifically if they do foot massage and they say yes, $10 for 10 minutes and I ask again for Foot massage - but then literally have my legs rubbed for 9 minutes and FEET only 20 seconds each - I'm not happy. Due to Covid-19 the pedicure is very expensive at $30 for basic pedicure. I read more

I cannot stress how important it is to come get your nails done at creative nails & spa. Tuan is my nail guy, he is so fast and such a perfectionist. I will wait a few days to see him than to go anywhere else. I drive from Fillmore to Camarillo just to see him. I hate spending my time and money at other nail salons for me to have to go back and get them fixed. I never have this issue at Creative nails &spa with Tuan. I know my nails will look perfect! I also really like that they respect your appointment time, if my appointment is at 10 I get help at 10. Not to cut she was on phone while doing my nails also she said my nails were to wide and said I had ingrown toe nails. And cut all around. They did a great job on doing my pedicure and gel nails, until a week later when all of it peeled off. And not to mention I had my 1 year old daughter with me and while doing my left hand after finishing my right hand my daughter started to get antsy and upset from sitting still for too long (typical 1 year old behavior) the lady doing my nails decided to ask me if I wanted to come back another day, WHEN HALF OF MY HAND WAS ALREADY DONE. I've gone to Creative Nails periodically and the quality of the work has gone down and the prices have gone up. Today I had a mani pedi and I wasted $50 + tip. Yes $50 - and very basic service. They rushed through and the shop wasn't even busy. The pedicure definitely didn't include a massage - just quickly rubbed on a little lotion. Tonight the polish on my finger nails is peeling - she must've used the wrong base coat or something. read more

The place looks better inside. The guy who did my nails (George) did such a terrible job. He ruined my nails. Mind you I normally would go in for a manicure and buffing no police. I like natural short nails. I had called for an appointment and told them I wanted to get my nails done for my daughter's wedding and wanted someone good. I got George. First he took an drummer tool and sanded down my nautical nail so thin. They were rough and then he put polish on. He ruined my nails! Polish was so thick and clumpy. He went through motions but not sure he was very skilled. I have never had anyone sand down my nails to nothing. I will now have to wait for them to grow out. They want to easily tear now. I have seen them use that tool on acrylics but, not on clean natural nails. I had to go home and redo my nail polish for the wedding, on my own. If you look closely at the picture you can see how uneven the thickness of my nails are now. Also left me with a lot of hangnails. Will not go back! read more
