I like this salon and it does seem to be priced cheaper than most. But they upcharge for everything. I picked a gel color that was $15 extra! With no warning. I got this pretty chrome color done but it started chipping before it had even been 24 hours!! They didn't tell me it was fragile paint until after I got it. The whole point of paying up for gel nails is they are sturdy and last. What on earth did I lay $30 for if it's going to break the next day. Also when the girl pulled off my last manicure she ripped off half of my nails. Literally broke the tips off of all my pretty long nails. She attempted to glue some of them back together. My gal (she's the youngest one there) clearly had no idea what she was doing. read more

The nail tech was nice which is why I'm giving 3 stars but the location isn't great, the general appearance of the place is shabby, and they're charging crazy amounts. I'm not one to want to shell out the big bucks on a pedi, so when I saw mostly good review on Yelp, I thought - hmm, I''ll give this place a try. After all, I had just left Costco, glanced over, and there was T & T. It was 6:40 - T&T closes at 7:30pm. Pretty girl outside - I'm thinking - are they closing early? No - "Come in," she says. Nice presentation: opening vertical clear glass doors to allow one to choose from Opi and another popular spa brand of polish. Polish is perfectly positioned on each shelf in a semi circle. The manager walks up behind me - my massage chair was ready. On the arm of the chair was - a small bottle of Costco water. Nice touch, but, I'm not here for water, I'm here to relax my tootsies and make them feel and look better after an earlier 7 mile hike. (And this is where T&T fails - or maybe I'm expecting too much ) - even though the pretty greeter girl informs me that they only have the best, do the best, clean the best, get the full treatment for only $25. Hmmm, again. Not a bad price - I go for it, and converse a bit with pretty greeter girl. 1. I tell her I'm from Park City. "We have maybe 50 clients who come here from Park City. " (It won't be #51.) 2. The girl working on my feet is in a race against the clock. She wants to get out at 7:30. Obviously, good customer service is not the priority. She doesn't allow my feet to soak long enough (15 seconds!) before she pulls BOTH of them out of the water to remove polish and cut nails. 3. She zips around the cuticles so fast, that she pulls on the skin while she zips away the cuticle which was briefly softened with a chemical that looked like it came from a nail polish bottle. (Problem: If I were diabetic, this could be VERY bad news! My cuticles are being ripped away!) 4. She races to buff, races to rub callouses off (She did not touch my heels!) Races to use the paraffin. Hoo boy. I questioned this one as I have NEVER had a salon have me DUNK MY FEET into the paraffin. Well, the girl picked up the hot wax container (plugged into the outlet, still heating), asked me to swivel in my seat, and moved the container up and down and up and down and - THIS IS HOT! - I remark. I look at pretty girl who is fluent in English and state - I have never had wax applied like this! Sanitation concern! She informs me, "Oh, my manager is very clean. We put disinfectant in the wax. Much better than using plastic bags! I tell you, you go to a salon with plastic bags, they are REUSING those bags with wax! That is not sanitary!" I don't believe her. The look on my face says this. Words from my mouth say this. "It's true!" she says. 5. Pretty greeter girl continues: "You can't get what we do here for only $25 somewhere else. " I let her know that a salon I go to in Park City does much the same for $30. She finds it incredulous that a Park City place is $30 and informs me how her salon is better at $25. Although- T&T doesn't do "hot rock massage". 6. There was no real massage here. The girl put "cooling gel" on my legs - and may have spent 15 seconds rubbing it on. (Remember, I was here to RELAX!) 7. Nail polish was zipped on my toes. I don't even know if she did a base coat because I BLINKED and missed it - if she did. Two quick coats of polish. BAM - It's 7:15 - ushered to drying light. BAM - 7:28. Pedi girl sprays drying spray on my feet and tells me with very few words it is time to go. I stand. An older gentleman - owner? says a very sincere, "Thank you." to me. T&T is not dynamite. T&T is an average rush job of a pedicure. The $5 extra is not worth it as it was a cursory "brush brush" of callous removal, quick "rub rub" of cooling gel on legs, and a fast and too hot "dunk dunk" of wax onto my feet. I was not relaxed. I felt rushed. I felt concerned over sanitation. I will stick with Nails Labelle in Park City. (Read my review on that salon.) For $30, you get an hour of bliss. Here, for $25, you get 30 minutes of remiss. Note: I am a licensed cosmetologist and cannot help but wonder if the state board came in to inspect, what they would think of the wax dipping. So, if you are in a rush, this might be your place. If you want to relax - because going for a pedi is a special event, or if a much needed "me" time is called for - go elsewhere. Horrible service! I called ahead of time to make sure they had time for a pedicure and they said they did and to head over now. Once I show up they made me wait 45 minutes soaking in pedicure chair and they had multiple clients waiting with half of their services done. They only had 2 people working on clients and they kept jumping from client to client leaving everyone waiting in between. It was horrible plus the person that was working on my pedicure half way left me with a horrible pedicure. read more

My polish had already started chipping the very next day and this photo is 2 days after my mani. They looked much worse than when I paint my own nails. The best, most affordable shellac manicure I've found in the SLC valley thus far! My nail tech worked quickly, but did a great job. (The salon was busy, so that was very understandable.) She even took the initiative to repair a painful/broken nail, free of charge. My manicure also came with a paraffin hand wax included - something I've never had done before! Just before I arrived, a few moms and their daughters walked in as a group. Considering this was the Friday before a holiday, I became reasonably nervous that it would take forever before I was seen. I was pleasantly surprised that I was sitting for only a minute or two before I was sent to a station. I soaked for just a few minutes before my technician walked over. You will hear "ok just a few minutes" for an hour. They will start on your nails and leave you to help with a frustrated customer. Was in Salt Lake City a couple weeks ago on vacation and went in to have a gel manicure and spa pedicure. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I had called in the morning asking if they would take us even when my family and I didn't have an appointment and the boss said he would open a little early for us. My is my favorite nail salon. I started going in for acrylic nails, and I've got to admit that at first I wasn't too impressed with their customer service. Every time that I went they were *always* busy, and it was hard to be seen within the first 10 minutes... (Hence the 4 stars) But I know why. THEY ARE AMAZING. Even during their busy times they manage to do a spectacular job. They are really good at finding out what you want and delivering. Out of all the times I've been, I decided that I would write a review today because I was impressed by my nail technician. While acrylic nails tend to be more on the expensive end, she asked me if I was aware of how much damage they were causing my nail bed and she began to talk about healthier options for my nails. I ended up getting shellac on top of my nails and giving them the opportunity to heal from the damage that had already ensued. I am just thankful to have found a place that is concerned about my well being, rather than concerned about making money. If you're loyal to them, they will be loyal to you. Maybe there have been improvements and I should give them credit. Over the weekend, my work friend and I came to T&T. She got a deluxe pedicure and I just opted for shellac (it's been a while). Considering the separation of services, the gentleman up front pulled a bench for me to sit by my friend while one of the manicurists became available. The shellac colors here are many and one of the lead manicurists invited me to take a seat at her station while I made a decision on a color. Within 15 minutes she was done buffing, filing, and coloring my nails. It seemed rushed, but they looked great. Still do. In all, I don't want my yelp comments to be coarse, but I try my best to highlight why I love so many of the nail shops in SLC, and why I hate some of them, ha, ha. These guys work hard around the clock, I know they're trying their best, but with a few kinks ironed down, they'll -nail- reason enough to be the best. read more

This place has gone downhill. They don't know how how to manage appointments and walk ins. I spent 3 hours here on a Sunday, and one hour in a pedicure chair waiting for one of the girls to free up. They put you in a chair for an hour so you can't leave but make you wait as long as it takes for them to finish up the 2-3 clients they are working on. The girls are rushing around, going super fast and are just trying to get you out the door. They spend 5 min on one client, leave, go to the other client... what a nightmare! Don't go there unless you have 4 hours to spend on a Saturday. read more

Don't come here when it's busy. Let me preface by saying I've been here twice before, and had good experiences. They do a really great job with shellac. But the service is TERRIBLE, and I'm guessing the women there are over-worked and under-paid. We were seated for shellac pedicures after 10 minutes of waiting, no big deal. The massage was great, but then it became 15 minutes until closing and there were still at least 10 people waiting to get services done. So what do they do? Kick us out of our seats. I'm not kidding. They made us walk with lotioned- up feet across the dirty floor to sit on an uncomfortable chair to get our toes painted. Meanwhile, there was a girl who had gotten there when we did and she still hadn't even been seated, yet they let FOUR people go ahead of her. I was pissed for her. Plus, our ladies kept leaving us mid-paint job to go help someone else. Not only that, but they were past closing and the owner literally ran outside to chase down girls who saw it was too busy. You could tell they didn't want to be there, but they felt forced. Apparently a buck is more important than customer service. They employees are extremely overworked, and now I know he keeps them there way past closing time, and I know many of those women have newborn babies at home. read more

I have been a client regularly here for years and the service has continued to dwindle and wait times increase. I make appointments so I don't have to wait behind the five walking sitting in line and it still takes 30 to 45 minutes before I even sit down. They say yes to everyone and people wind up waiting usually an hour. I will never go back nor will I recommend anyone to go there. Had an amazing first visit here for a shellac manicure- wrote a glowing 5 star review. Two subsequent visits have both sucked. 1 five star visit and 2 one star visits average out to 2.3 stars. For my second shellac manicure, I made an appointment since they'd given me their business card after the first manicure. All I was getting was a shellac manicure and I was in the salon for 1 hour 29 minutes. Ridiculous. I thought with an appointment, I'd be in and out. They sat me at a manicure station and seemed to have forgotten about me. One person would come do something, like clip my nails, then get up and maybe 15 minutes later, someone else would come over and file them, then walk away. When someone was there, they were rude and (I felt) somewhat aggressive with my hands and nails. I was super frustrated, I felt like they didn't think my time was important and I didn't feel like they valued me as a customer- I decided I was not going to tip. But when I went to pay, the girl was so nice that I felt guilty not tipping. This past week, I made an appointment for two mani/pedis to hang out with a friend I hadn't seen in awhile. She suggested another place that never seems clean, so I told her about the cleanliness here and she was sold. However, after this appointment, I know I have gone to T&T Nails for the last time. We showed up on time and my friend was immediately escorted to a pedicure chair, while I waited. I figured they were cleaning the second chair, but then two walk-ins requested pedicures and were seated right away in chairs next to each other. When I asked why we were not accommodated first, they were rude and started saying things under their breath in another language. I was finally shown to a chair one away from my friend, but her pedicure was nearly done. Then we were seated as far away as was possible for the manicures, so we were not really able to talk, which defeated the purpose of us getting our nails done to hang out. But what defeated the purpose of getting our nails done at all was the crappy crappy way they polished my nails. The owner, Tran, applied my nail polish and the clear top coat was put on before the nail polish had a chance to dry, which resulted in a "shrink wrap" effect on my nails- the polish kind of seized up. Whatever, I wasn't going to lose my mind, but after 3 days, the polish on most of my finger nails was chipping and looked like absolute crap. I noticed that the cuticles had not been pushed back all the way; the polish was just applied on top! If I can do my own nails at home for significantly cheaper, not be talked about in another language and have the polish last longer, why on earth would I pay someone to do it? After 6 days, four of my toenails are missing chunks of polish too, so I also feel that the pedicure was piss poor. Never again, T&T. You are very very clean, but customer service and attention to detail are sorely lacking. read more

At first it was great, parents are very nice but noticed a huge attitude the last few times we would go by the sisters. Very nice and clean salon! Nail tools were autoclaved and still sealed. Files and buffers were disposable - the ones my manicurist used on me were tossed after I was done. Air purifiers (the only salon I've been to that doesn't smell like acetone), the owner quickly vacuumed up any nail particles that spill to the floor immediately after. It is 2 weeks into my shellac french manicure and my nails still look great (even with the grow out). Loc did an excellent job. This is the first set of shellac I have had that did not bubble or peel - even after weeding and getting our garden ready for planting without gloves on! read more

Hands down the best place to get a gel manicure or pedicure. My gels always last the longest when I go here. They do not use the grinder-thing to remove the gels, but soak them off like they're supposed to. Sometimes they are very busy (VERY busy), but they are always well staffed. I would recommend going in the morning as close to when they open as possible if you are going on Saturdays. Best part is that you can't smell the fumes like in other places as well as how they open a new package of tools for each person. They obviously keep things well maintained here and care about their customers. I took my gramma here when she visited me (she's very particular about her gel manicure), and her gels lasted for three weeks and she said that is she lived in SLC this would rival her regular place. They also do great eyebrow waxing. I can't remember the name of the lady who did mine, but she was very tall and thin (very pretty lady) and she did THE BEST eyebrow waxing that I've ever had. They give you a small bottle of water once you sit down. VERY very clean and nicely maintained salon. I got a gel manicure with french tip ($25) and a reg spa pedi - single color ($20). The Spa chairs were amazing and had the usual massage options. The gel manicure was OK, not amazing- not horrible- just OK. I did appreciate the parafan wax at the end of the mani, left my hands feeling smooooth. Overall, I would definitely come back! read more

I found one little spot where the Shellac paint had skipped over part of my nail right along the edge. I was looking at it quizically when the lady NOTICED and came over and asked if there was a problem. She took one look and said some words and then the magical fairy princess of nails swooped in and fixed the little problem perfectly. Got spoiled at the Hollywood nails in McKinney, tx. This place was budget and the person tried to overcharge me. She said $30 when the service was $20. Not cool. Overall the pedi was fine but I'm definitely on the hint for a better place... Kids running around didn't help the atmosphere. The front guy needs to improve his people skills. I got a pedicure with paraffin wax for $25, which I feel like is a pretty decent price. The staff was nice and they gave me a little water bottle while I was waiting. The massage chairs were big and comfy and I didn't mind waiting a while and relaxing, the place was really busy. I really liked how clean the place was and all of the instruments were sterilized and opened in front of you. The pedicure was really good and my feet looked and felt great at the end of it. The only thing I didn't like was how they kept pushing me to get a manicure and shellac too, I politely declined and they kept pushing it. When I was finished I let my nails dry under the light and then stood waiting at the counter for over ten minutes, it was kind of awkward. I'm going to join the chorus of people disappointed by the decline of T&T. It used to be my favorite nail salon, but my experiences over the last year have been awful. Today, I got left in a chair mid-pedicure for 20 minutes (and counting). The waits are long and the staff speeds through the pedicure. The rushed pedicures are painful. Some of the male staff have also made awkward, sexualized comments about my legs. I won't be coming back. I suggest you don't come either. read more

Previously I had written a raving review of this place but a week ago I had to delete it. It used to be my favorite place to go. During my recent experience, it took them two hours since I was in the nail seat to complete my shellac manicure. My girlfriend went with me and hers took the typical 30 minutes. The older lady helping me left my finger tips in acetone for 30 minutes and only started my manicure once I took them off because my skin was so dry. Then PRIOR to paint my nails she put my hands in the paraffin wax, which is a complete no no. Due to all the moisture she added to my nail beds the shellac only lasted five days. Another gal that I like there ended up painting my nails after sitting there for another 20 minutes with no one helping me after I asked to just pay for the removal of my original shellac. It was awkward, unprofessional and poor quality. I sadly loved this place but won't be going here again. read more

Relatively inexpensive but not worth the one hour+ I waited and mediocre set I ended up with. I appreciated that they checked on me to let me know someone would be with me but they told me it would only be "five more minutes" every 20 then I was seated at a manicurist's table where I sat for another 15 minutes before being moved to another table anyway. THE best nail salon I have ever encountered...hands down. I'm new to the area and I'll be living here short-term, and of course Yelp never lets me down when finding the places I need. I come from Southern California and Nevada, so I've experienced a number of salons...this one definitely tops them all! I walked into the salon and it appeared brand new and extremely clean. They serve you mini kirkland water bottles on silver platters (literally) while they prep the pedi chair/mani table. All their equipment is sanitized and well organized, and the work area is super clean. I can't get over how clean they kept the place up. And who would've thought it has been open for 3 yrs! They were able to serve my needs and they care for their clients like no other place out there. Prices are cheap as well ($30 mani/pedi (reg)).
