This place has EXCELLENT drinks. I came on Sunday during the farmer's market to get something cool, and the Hong Kong tea latte I had was sooo lovely. I ordered it iced and sweet and it was really creamy, as the description notes. I also got a lavender poppy scone which had good flavor but admittedly was a little bit dry. Nevertheless I would gladly come back just for drinks here, there were so many on the menu that sounded AMAZING. This review is strictly for their guava matcha drink! I'm a matcha lover and am surrounded by a group of matcha haters but this place changed that for my friends. They tried the guava matcha drink here and absolutely loved it! Ofcourse the guava made it flattering! They have a good selection of coffees and teas. One of my friends got their protein smoothie and that was alright. We also got some americanos and lattes and they were nothing special. Try their guava matcha though! read more

I don't like coffee, so I always appreciate a place that has other unique drinks. Tea on its own isn't my favorite, but I love the variety of different tea based drinks they have. My husband and I shared a Salted Caramel Hojicha Tea Latte and a Peaches and Cream Latte. Both were fantastic. Between the two, the peach one was my favorite. It was light and delicious. My one complaint is I asked for my drink "for here" as I wanted it in a mug (for health and environmental reasons). I'm surprised by their low ratings, when my husband and I went we loved our drinks so much we went back tbe next day to try more Day one we ordered the peach n cream iced tea with rooibos tea (decaf), and my husband ordered the dreamsicle iced tea. Both teas were lightly sweetened, and so good. The tea quality is really high and flavorful Day two we ordered the twister and I got the twister + turmeric. I also ordered the smoky fog iced tea. I wasn't a fan of the tumeric or the smoky fog as much, but it was because of my personal preference. This place has the best tea in crested butte! It's a cute little shop that's welcoming when you come in, and you'll just want to stay. There are a lot of tea options that all look super enticing and I want to try them all. This time around I got a spicy chai (my go-to favorite) while my sister got the Shanghai Late, which has gunpowder tea in it...basically tasted like a smoky tea which is out of this world good. We were so in love with the teas that we went back the next day but were so sad to see it was closed on Tuesdays - based on the little handwritten sign on the window. We were there early October in the off season, so I imagine you won't have a problem if you're there during the winter for some skiing! I love that T-Bar has a whole menu of tea-based lattes! As a person who doesn't drink coffee I'm accustomed to only having a chai latte or maybe a London Fog option available to me at cafes but T-Bar had so many great options. I also love that they have bubble tea made with real teas as it's so hard to find places that don't use the sugary powders; half of T-Bars bubble tea options are powder based so I skipped those and would have loved if they had those flavors in non-powder form but was thrilled to try to the others. I came back 3 times and my friend posted up here for a full day of work because their Wi-Fi was better than the Wi-Fi at our rental. read more

I don't usually review places but felt obligated to share my experience with the matcha latte boba. Note that this review in no way reflects my opinion of anything else on their menu and that the server was very friendly and helpful. That being said, the brown sugar boba themselves were the worst I've ever had. They weren't round or chewy but more like soggy gummies, if that's even possible. The matcha latte itself was good, although the portion was relatively small for the price charged. Frankly, I enjoy the homemade boba lattes I prepare at home using the boba kit I purchase at Costco far more. read more

Stopped in while walking around downtown Crested Butte. I ordered the Black Jasmine Milk Tea. OMG SO GOOD. A little sweet, a touch of vanilla and flavorful jasmine. I highly highly recommend trying something! My bff is a big tea person and really thought they had a wonderful selection here. We also tried butter tea. Uhhh...not great. Such a great find in Crested Butte! I chilled here for a little bit, sipping on a Lavender Green Tea Latte (with almond milk) and munching on a caprese panini. The tea was phenomenal - and I love that they serve their drinks in mugs instead of paper cups. It's something people take for granted. Drinks just taste better in breakable mugs! They messed up my drink order the first time and gave me some sort of coffee latte thing with regular milk, but quickly detected and corrected the mistake. After I picked up the just made lavender latte, I heard one of the staff correct the other girl that only coffee should be served in the mug I was given and tea goes in something else. Didn't make a difference to me what kind of mug it's in, but it's cool that they pay close attention to things like that. The panini was delicious, I could have eaten two. Not sure if that was because I was hungry, or it was small. I overheard parents asking one of the tea-tenders what they recommended for kids, and they said the caprese or the grilled cheese. Waste of time. We won't be coming back. Went in on a Sunday afternoon around 11:15ish..ordered 2 teas. **As we ordered I started noticing all of the signs they had posted--Warning! Long wait times for food or smoothies. Be patient. Hmmmm I thought. Clearly customers are complaining of long wait times here. Why wouldn't they figure out a system to decrease the wait times instead of telling their paying customers to be patient?? Sat down. Waited 10-15 minutes. Girl beside us goes up and asks about her tea ( never a good sign ) I hear them tell her that her order must have been lost and they were sorry and would get it right out. Lost tea order? How is this even possible? What a joke. Finally after 20 minutes we go up and the lady working the register is VERY RUDE...asks us if we want anything else? Anything else?? We haven't received our teas yet. We tell her that and she says---yeah I'm sure they are working on them now..... OH! You are SURE they are working on them now and not that you lost my order?? I see her right in front of my face ask a young male to start making our teas. My point is this----she didn't apologize--instead she made up an excuse that wasn't even true and discredited me as a customer. I've never been so angry at or about a coffee shop. Let me preface the situation: it was labor day so there was a stream of customers placing orders. Summers in mountain towns have fewer employees and just an overall slower pace. But when I came in for a 'quick coffee' on my way out of town, I did not expect to be waiting for nearly 40 minutes. For two drinks. I was patient for the first 10-15 minutes but as soon as I placed my order I knew I'd regret it. There was one teenage boy doing all the drink orders and the place sells smoothies. It was painstakingly slow and I really wanted to cancel my order. Each beverage that was started was not finished before another was started or the guy had to walk back to the kitchen for other ingredients. Only two other couples were ahead of me and we all got our orders delivered piecemeal. There's also no drip coffee, so even getting the most basic drink ended up being ten minutes out. Then another ten minutes passed before he started the other half of my order, a tea latte. Well I got to stare at the tea brewing for another ten minutes before I couldn't hold my tongue anymore and asked to just take my drink as is. Finally the girl at the register and another man came in to help in the kitchen but it was still so disordered that nothing really got made any faster. I could go on about all the minutes that dragged on but needless to say, it was a terrible experience for me, not to mention my busy toddler and my husband &dog waiting outside in the heat. Yes, the drink menu looks amazing and there are some really unique items available, but you have to go in with zero plans for the rest of your day. I've been twice in the last week and have followed all social distancing protocols and masking and have twice been yelled at by their staff because I'm not doing something right in their eyes. My go-to coffee spot in CB. Lot of options to choose from to suit your mood. Baristas are always friendly and I get my drink in a timely manner depending on busyness. It's also delicious which obviously is the most important thing to me. I think some of the people leaving negative reviews might need a little more patience as this place is awesome and therefore tends to get busy especially during peak seasons. You're in a beautiful town with a relaxed and kind atmosphere. This place emulates that. read more

Ordered a green tea. They put milk in it. We had already mentioned we were vegan. When they gave us the "tea latte", which they accidentally made for us, we mentioned it had milk in it. She said we cannot make another one for you it would cost us too much money if we did that every time, as if the mistake was because it was cows milk and not because it was a fricking latte they made instead of a regular tea! She was extremely rude! I have never had a restaurant/coffee shop treat us as if it was our fault for their mistake! Beware of how you order and watch them make it!
