    Grains & Things add chicken
    Rachel B.

Just wanted to rave and post pics about the greens on the food menu here! I got a Buddha Bowl add tofu and my friends both got the Grains & Things add chicken. We all looooved our meals. They were reasonably priced and we were thankful to have something healthy AND delicious! Probably wouldn't order the hazy IPA again...

Not much has changed int he last 10 years since I was last a CBW. the brews were tasty and delicious. The ambiance is fun. The outdoor patio was well shaded and there was plenty of seating. Service was friendly. We ordered some pretzels and a steak. Would definitely skip the steak it was a sad little piece of meat that would do better in a sandwich. There were also random sauce accompaniment for the dish. The fries has mustard and ketchup on too, random salsa in the middle, and steak covered in a sauce. The pretzel and beer cheese were fine. The beer cheese sauce was slightly split and a little grainy but had a nice flavor. Overall would rec sticking to beer.

    Fries with Magic Dust

Found this local brewery and it did not disappoint. Got there during their everyday happy hour from 4-6pm. We're just going to have a couple beers, which we did, but the food options looked too good to pass up. We ordered wings and fries with magic dust. The wings were tender and flavorful. The fries were great, but the magic dust elevated them to another level. We ended up order another of each. Definitely will stop in again if we are anywhere close to Carbondale.

Great little brewery in Carbondale! Not many of their own beers on tap (maybe 4) but plenty of guest taps. On the plus side..they do serve food! From nachos, burgers, chicken and salads. We went at a time where they were busier than usual (according to Google) but felt comfortable. They did only have 2 servers and we weren't attended to very often. Had to go order inside for our food and drinks while other tables were being helped. No biggie but definitely could have been a bit better. The outdoor patio area was covered, tons of hops growing and plenty of picnic tables to choose from!

Carbondale Beer Works is a brewery, but their menu has way more than just beers on there. There is a food menu, and the menu actually has a few different vegetarian and vegan options. Also, gluten-free bread is available as a substitute for the burgers and sandwiches. The alcohol menu consists of beer, wine, cocktails, and a lot of whiskey. In fact, there are more whiskey options than beer options. My boyfriend and I came here for happy hour a while back. We got a beer flight, the mac daddy with chicken and kale, and the smash chicken tacos. Everything was good, and the food portions were a little heartier than we had expected. We had a good time, and we also got to enjoy part of a sports game that was on TV since we were seated inside. Carbondale Beer Works is a good place to hang out at. The menu has ample options for both alcohol and food. Outdoor seating is available, but indoor seating is where you can catch a sports game. The staff is nice, and the happy hour deals are decent. Happy hour is daily from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. and features $1 to $2 off of drinks and $2 off of select food times. Good food, good booze, good ambiance, and good prices are all you need to have a good time.

Found this restaurant via bringfido.com; because we had our dogs with us. Dogs are allowed on the spacious patio which has a large covered section. Seating is far enough apart for our dogs to not be too close to other dogs (our rescues are a bit skittish so in dog friendly places, we keep them in "down stay" close to us). There is a "sports" type water cooler dispenser and glasses on the patio to get cold water for yourself and your dogs. We were there for a late lunch on a Friday. Friendly staff. We met: The brewmaster, who was also our wait person. The owner, who was unpacking food delivery. The chef, who personally delivered our food, and then helped unpack food delivery. [Keep the above in mind: As in many places these days, to no fault of their own, a few people are doing all the work. Give them grace. We weren't in a hurry and we enjoyed our time on their patio.] I had the Blackened Salmon Plate. Comes with a Side Salad. LOOK at the Pic: the "Side Salad" description on the menu does not do justice to this lovely salad. Probably the best "side salad" I have ever had. The salmon's blackening spices and balsamic reduction = delicious. Perfect size of salmon. Dollop of tasty avocado salsa = guac. I don't eat much cheese, but the dollop of goat cheese was perfect to add here and there to the salmon/salad. I like that the guac and goat cheese did not cover the salmon, so that I could add as much of either as I liked to each bite. Hubby had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. He said it was flavorful, sweet (not spicy), lightly toasted bun, just the right amount of coleslaw on the sandwich. The coleslaw was NOT drenched in coleslaw dressing! His plate included a side of extra coleslaw, which is not mentioned on the menu. He enjoyed that. Hubby had their Yo Bro! Porter. Nice Smooth flavor, hint of chocolate and perhaps coffee. He would order it again. Highly recommend. We will return next time we are near the area.

We were there late night so the menu was very limited. The food we had was ok, but would have liked more choices. I had iced tea and they had no sweetener available. The patio is pup friendly but another dog there took a disliking to our dog which made it difficult. Not sure if I would return.

After having visited on several occasions, the service was consistently better with great service at the bar. I also have fallen in love with eating on their patio! I've hosted several large groups (15+), and they are always kind and willing to work with splitting up our check without too much hassle. I've made a video of our experience there! https://youtu.be/Yvi9fa5voPY

SPACE/ATMOSPHERE: You can tell that the space was definitely a bar in it's previous life. Inside it's cozy like a hunters cabin. There's a pool table, wood burning stove, and a few mounts on the walls. I chose to cozy up to the bar, so I could chat a bit with the beertender during my visit. BREWS: I opted to sip on the Katie Says (a chokecherry honey wine) during my visit. This 12% ABV mead is def a sold brew and the nitro makes it super smooth and it had zero cough-medicine-esque notes. The chokecherries are locally sourced from the very own yard too! How fun! They have a small variety of every brew style available and a handful of guest taps too. SERVICE: The beertender working was super helpful and friendly as I browsed the tap list. She offered to answer any questions I had and brought over a food menu to in case I was craving something more substantial with my beverage. EATS: They share a space with The Dean West Restaurant and Brewstillery, so they do offer a variety of eats out of the from scratch kitchen. From burgers and sandwiches, to appetizers - they definitely have you covered. I find myself driving through Kremmling a few times a year and would gladly make a stop to see what new things Grand Adventure Brewing Company is brewing up! Cheers, Kremmling!

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at High Alpine Brewing…read more We chose this brewery because we thought it was pet friendly, especially since they have a large outdoor upstairs patio. When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

We ordered 2 grilled mother cluckers and bock bock fries (our go to). It was about 4pm and there were only a few people there (we were the only ones outside). After about 40 minutes waiting for our food I decided to go in to check on things. Our order was sitting on the counter. Their response was "sometimes the buzzer doesn't work from the table you're sitting at"..... ummmmm what? We ended up eating the cold chicken (and I mean cold, not luke warm) sandwiches because we were starving but asked them to remake the fries. Fast forward to a few weeks ago it was a Friday and me and a friend ordered some sandwiches and sat in the back half of the brewery . After about 25 minutes my buzzer went off. When I got up to the counter there was an order of fish and chips... they called the wrong buzzer. No biggie. Well another 20 minutes went by and nothing. People around us that ordered after us were getting their food. So I went back up to the counter and there on their service line were our chicken sandwiches. When I asked the employee about my order she went back and checked and came back and said "we just finished them up". I took the sandwiches back to the table and again they were COLD. Not to mention since the coleslaw was sitting on the bun they were completely soggy. Didn't take the sandwiches back because we had a baby with us that needed to go to bed. I'm not sure if it's a buzzer issue or what. But we aren't sure if / when we will be returning to Pomona, sadly.

It's definitely a place that we'll come back to. They have a bunch of excellent beers and there is a food truck in the back that serves delicious wood fired thin crust pizza and other "gourmet street food" according to the writing on their truck. We had two of their large pies and an order of Wisconsin cheese curds. Between the four of us, I think we are all but one slice. As for the beer, I think we had at least 6 different beers. They have a great selection of pilsners and lagers that are around 5-6% abv, which is good since we had to drive. They also have a couple coolers with soft drinks for kiddos, DDs and those that don't drink beer. They also had a couple of hard seltzers available. All of the beers we tasted were great. I'd recommend getting a flight of 4 if you want to try a few different kinds. My favorite is probably theirr Free Stone lager. The space is pretty unique. All parking is in the back in a crushed stone parking lot. There is a deck off the front and the back. I think most of the action is either inside or on the back seating area. There was a gigantic TV inside where there was a football game showing, but we stayed mostly on the deck outside except for coming into get more beer and use the restrooms. There were three restrooms, M, W and either. Lots of high top tables inside and a handful of rocking chairs on the back deck. Be sure to bring a jacket or other layers because as soon as the sun goes down, we'll, it's Colorado so you should know. The temps dropped pretty quickly. It's a great place to bring well behaved dogs and meet up with friends for good food and drinks. We're adding it to our down valley rotation.
