Pizza was soggy and flavorless. Sat at the bar where bartenders definitely stereotyped people based on their looks. I asked for soda water with lemon,I watched the bartender squeezed a lemon in my water,absolutely disgusting!!!! We were asked to squeeze in to seat someone else at the bar,I'm having issues with my hip so I obviously move really slow,according to the host I'm not fast enough,so when I was still on my chair the host dragged my chair,touching my lap,I felt abused! Never got utensil or was offered a napkin... Food is awful and the service is even worse! Yeah the places is pretty but definitely overhyped! I was there 7/17 the host is rude! My husband and I shared: - Whipped Ricotta - Apple Ravioli - High Spirits Flatbread While everything was very good, the apple ravioli was hands down my favorite. It's one of the most unique pasta dishes I've ever had. I loved the apple with it and the sauce was delicious. The pizza was very good, though the crust was a little crunchy for my preference. I traded a slice with my mom and the Hot Date pizza was actually my favorite between the two. While they call them flatbreads, they're what I would consider pizza, not flatbread. We didn't have a reservation, but we had no issue getting a table at 5pm on a weekend in October. I wish they were open for lunch because I usually eat out for lunch rather than dinner, but if I'm in Crested Butte and need dinner again, I will definitely come back. read more

Third time's a charm! Two other dinners outings in the last 2-3 years were disappointing (food was just okay, ravioli, apple pie, one of the salads, can't recall what else). However, the other night we had a really lovely meal and were luckily seated downstairs, which was very prettily decorated and noise levels not too high. Best thing we had was the whipped ricotta with herbs, fresh and dried apples and, of course, bread. The sage and thyme combo with fruit and light fresh ricotta was so good. So good I forgot to take a photo until we'd wiped the plate clean. Meatballs were also very tasty w a very nice tomato sauce. The burrata served w radishes, beets, citrus and arugula was delicious. The gruyere daily bread was tasty and their honey butter is so good! We over-ate bread, but hey, every course came w bread and it is so good and it is called The Breadery! Thumbs up tho we have yet to have a dessert I would order again. The cannoli were okay but nothing special. read more

Very cute restaurant with a beautiful interior and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was kind and attentive. The sourdough with black garlic butter was incredible, easily the best I've ever had. We also shared a Caesar salad with perfectly crispy garlic croutons on the outside and a bright, lemony dressing. The ragu was excellent, with fresh pasta, flavorful meat, and a rich but not heavy tomato based sauce. Cocktails were delicious, especially the Fairy Fog with lavender. This was the best restaurant I've been to in a very long time. Every single thing we ordered was delicious from the amazing sourdough bread with whipped ricotta, the delicious and fresh salads with homemade dressing and of course, the flatbreads. Everything is made in house with alot of care, and we loved every bite. Our server Esme was incredibly sweet, genuine, down to earth and helpful. This is a special place. This is our favorite go to spot when we are in CB, we usually go at least twice. There can be a line at opening especially in the summer, but it always moves quickly. Service is always great. They serve 1-2 specialty sourdoughs with their basic and you can also buy loaves to take home - these also sell quickly in the summer. They are all good but the gruyere is my favorite. The menu has great shareable salads, some pizzas and pastas, and a few random other entrees. They have a good drink selection including my favorite, a daily special mocktail. Food is brought out as it is ready, which they warn you of, so some entrees may take longer. I think we've enjoyed every entree we've ever tried - probably the Detroit style pizza was the only dish more meh - but lots of food for the money and still not bad, just a little flat and oily. read more

Service 2/5: unfortunately not great. Huge line to get in at 5pm and seemed like everyone in line also had the same reservation time because it took 25 mins for someone to take our order after we sat down. Had to ask for additional water when we saw other tables had an extra water jar at their table. Also they charge a 3% credit card processing fee. My wife and I had such a great time on our anniversary dinner. They treated us to complimentary bubbly, and the overall service was impeccable. The sourdough is incredible...same story for the flatbreads (as they're made with sourdough). For entrees we did the pumpkin ravioli and the farmhouse squash ragu, both of which were amazing! I wish I took pictures of this place and the food I ordered. I got special of the day bread which was cardamom and date bread and fancy goat pizza. The cardamom and date came through and even though I'm not a big date person, I want to try to make this bread. The crust was deliciously Crispy while super soft on the inside and the flavors of cardamom and dates really came through. The fancy goat pizza was delicious with the chili oil really coming through and use of fresh indlgredients that all balanced each other while the crust was nice and crispy while sourdough flavors coming through. read more

I made a reservation for my family of 9 (8 adults and 1 baby). It was easy to do online and they texted me ahead of time to confirm the reservation. When we showed up we were immediately seated. The food was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend having everyone order something different to share. The portions are big enough to share. The sourdough is a must. The burrata was so fresh and delicious. The whipped ricotta was also wonderful. Every dish was insanely good. I think our family liked the farmhouse squash ragu the best but every thing from the pictures shown to the pizzas (I forgot to capture) I would order again. Oh we also got the peach cobbler and either banana or bread pudding. Wow, so good!!! The staff was so nice to us and were very accommodating. The vibe they've created is so unique and special. There were 6 of us and the Breadery came recommended to us from a few people so we knew we had to try it. They make their own bread, pasta and cakes in house and it shows. They were all fantastic and flavorful. Highly recommend the bread app, the carrot ravioli was unlike any thing I have ever eaten, unique flavors that I would not have put together, and any cake based dessert you can't go wrong with. I've tried to make it here several times but I always seem to be in CB on a Monday or Tuesday. My day off fell on a Saturday this last week so I took the opportunity to finally try this place. We got there right at opening at 5. We were seated immediately. First impressions are they take pride in detail. The space has an old school vibe. The menu is tight. There were about a dozen loaves of sourdough for sale at the bar. Sourdough is the Breadery's specialty. We ordered a Caesar to start. Then the Margherita pizza and the Pride Cheese Ravioli (ofc) The salad was salty and lemony. The Margherita was good but slightly underwhelming. The ravioli was fantastic. Had a great beet flavor with pesto and toasty crumbs. It's a small place with a small kitchen. Dishes are brought out as they are cooked. The cocktails are thoughtful. They serve a house ( boxed) wine for a great deal $8 If you are in CB I highly recommend this place. Go early. read more

Weird. I'll keep this simple. In my past 50 years of eating in restaurants.... when ordering an appetizer, or a "starter" course.... it's usually the first thing to arrive at the table. We ordered the meatball appetizer to START from the "starters" portion of the menu. Also, we each ordered a salad, and then we each ordered a "flatbread" pizza for our main course. Salads came out first, 10 mins after we ordered. Then, ONE of the main courses (flat bread pizza) came out next, while we were still eating our salads. So, the pizza sat there on the table for 10 mins while we were finishing our salad, and we waited, thinking the other main course was going to arrive soon after. 10 minutes later, the second "pizza" arrived. I mentioned to the server, "don't the entrees usually get served at the same time? And also, we never got our appetizer " and her response was, "the food comes out when it comes out". Um.... OK. So now we had both salads on the table, and 2 pizzas, (one cold at the point) THEN... half way through eating our pizzas, the server delivered our "STARTER" meatball appetizer. NO CLUE!!! If you go to any restaurant... and order an APPETIZER... one would assume it would be the first thing to arrive, but instead.. it was delivered AFTER the main course.. The server didn't have a clue, and didn't seem to care. Big attitude, mediocre food except for the pizza crust, and over priced for what it was. I will not go back to this establishment. read more

A smallish place with amazing food! Of course they are known for us the sourdough bread. Flatbread offerings were quite large so be mindful you will have left overs or sharing. Very popular because they open at 5pm and a line forms before that to get in. Thought it was for eating but many folks were pressing to get to the Counter to buy the limited loaves of bread they make to sell each day. My salad croutons were of this bread and it was amazing (slid over and grabbed a loaf from the counter to the table where we were sitting!). The total space was old-time looking and wait staff were great. read more

Food is amazing. Service was fantastic. The fact they charge for credit card fees in addition to the bill is poor. It's not much but certainly pissed me off when I dropped over $400 for the meal. The restaurant across the street (2 Twelve) shows how a classy establishment behaves - actually (first time I have seen this) removes the taxes from the tip calculation on the bill. That's a pedigree restaurant. And doesn't charge for credit cards (no place i have found in CB charges for fees). read more

Fun atmosphere and excellent food made this one of our favorites in Crested Butte. We started with the daily sourdough appetizer which was Cho plate cherry. The has a crisp exterior with a flavorful chewy interior. We shared the ragu and Cesar salad. The ragu was excellent. Very meaty with the veggies perfectly cooked. We tried the Breadery in CB at the recommendation of family and friends. After eating here, it's easy to tell how they got their name! We stared off with a sourdough bread chunk with oil and vinegar to dip. The sourdough is made from a sourdough starter that is 60 years old! It was fluffy and delicious. We then had a caesar salad. If you do not like anchovies I would not order this salad because you can definitely taste a hint of fishiness in the dressing. I enjoyed it because of the citrusy freshness. The croutons were the star... probably the best crouton I've ever had. Crispy and garlicky on the outside and soft on the inside. For entrees, I had the Farmhouse Squash Ragu. It was a rich ragu sauce with cubes of squash and pancetta. I enjoyed it and liked the uniquely shaped noodles. My boyfriend had the spaghetti and meatball which was tasty but standard. We ended with the blueberry bread pudding which you MUST try. It melted in your mouth and was so soft and sweet! Overall the food and service is great but it's pretty pricey for the experience. Walked in without a reservation (make one, they're fully book a lot, apparently), and the hostess was nice enough to walk around the guests seated at the bar to see who was almost done. She motioned us to a couple who looked like they were leaving - she was great :) All the food was really great. We ordered the kale salad, baked Mac and cheese, and spicy Hawaiian pizza. Everything was delicious. The kale salad did need more dressing (and when I asked, they charged $2 - that was a little weird and they should stop doing that). The mac and cheese had tiny bits of green apple cooked in which was a nice surprise and cut through the richness. They didn't skimp on the pizza toppings and the crust was chewy and properly charred. The Citrus Vogue cocktail was really tasty. The salted Old Fashioned ... eh. I don't know that an Old Fashioned needs a saline aftertaste. Still, it looked like the bartenders knew what they were doing and were likely to make a good classic cocktail if you asked. The space is small but so beautiful, dim, and moody. It's a really romantic place for date night and isn't too loud. If I'm back in CB, I'll definitely come back. read more

The black garlic was one of the best things I've had in a LONG time. Followed it up with the farmhouse squash ragu and hot date pizza. The pizza came out first and was very unique and delicious. The dates and the apples and the bacon all complimented eachother nicely. The star of the show was the ragu though. It was our first time in Crested Butte and our first stop on our dinner crawl. We did not have a reservation but were fortunate to commandeer a few bar seats. Incredible how quickly their premade bread sold out. Drinks were good, learned some things from the bar tenders which is always good, and our dishes left us wondering what the remainder of the menu would have tasted like (in a good way).
