Turns out to be handy for replacement of this iPhone SE 2nd Gen for $75 deductible. We thought it was just a dead battery, so I was advised by the Asurion representative to take it to this location for evaluation, it was Monday. I was next in line. It took about 15 minutes for them to diagnose my phone and recommend the replacement option instead of a simple battery replacement. I contacted Asurion and received a phone in the mail on Tuesday. The box included materials to send the old phone back in a very simple process. It could not have been easier. Four stars only because their lobby had no seating area and had a video and audio commercial advertising their whole home insurance for every kind of device for only $25 per month. I also had to listen to the well crafted sales pitch each time I contacted them on the phone (twice). They ask what happened with the phone and ask leading questions about other devices in proximity and then try to sell you an insurance product on everything. They also make a big deal about prosecuting fraud, which makes one think that they could possibly be difficult to work with if your case is not just a straight up, straight forward, easy case. A 30 second looping advertisement, loudly broadcast, gets really old if you are waiting, even if it was only 15 minutes.

I was in a panic. I entered to shop and within about 4 minutes I was greeted by my assigned rep, Eric. He spent about 15 minutes examining the port and discovered something lodged in it. He attempted to get it out with a sim card key, then compressed air. Still there. He got a push pin. We both poked and probed; I tapped the phone on the mousepad. Still there. Then we did it all again. Little bits of "stuff" began to appear and THEN the prime culprit--a piece of sand. I had been gardening and had my phone in my "gardening attire" pocket. Immediately the charger went in and my phone began charging. With that problem solved I showed him another charger cord that was frayed and told him I would replace it if it didn't cost a college tuition. The sweet man walked across the store, found a better cord at a reasonable price and got a car charger as well and brought it to me. I told him he had saved me $1k because I didn't have to buy a new iphone. During the entire time he was helping me, Eric was polite, diligent, professional and courteous. At no time did he ever attempt to high pressure me into buying a new phone. I really appreciated his duty to the customer, not to the company's bottom line. I stopped and told the manager about how accommodating Eric had been. He overheard my remarks and told me that I had made it simple for him to be so nice. That made my day! Keenan provided unbelievable customer service and couldn't have been nicer to her and her family. She was put in an unideal situation and he did everything he could to be patient and respectful.
