TLTR: GO TO ALEX! He has 5+ years of experience. He is communicative, understanding, a team player, and helpful. Black Friday week, T-Mobile had a great promotion. Decided to move my account from AT&T to T-Mobile to get that promotion. I arrived Wednesday around 5pm. I first arrived just to see what promotions were available. I was greeted by a store associate (which would later learn she was only 4 months on the job and created a hassle with my situation). I began the process to transfer my line and get a new phone. ALEX took over my situation and he was completely the whole reason why I continued this with this transfer. He was there until CLOSING to make sure we had a good start to continue the following day. Arrived Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving and they were closed). The first woman who assisted me continued to where Alex left off. She asked for a receipt that she gave to me that had the numbers for the specific individual. I thought this was necessary to continue and I went to two of my homes to try to fine this paper - took 1 hour of my time. I was unable to locate it and headed back to the store to see if there is a way around it. This is when ALEX noticed me and picked up my "case", HE WAS ABLE TO FIND THAT INFORMATION IN SECONDS. This showed how experienced he is. He took care of everything and stuck with me for HOURS until everything was taken care of. He also was assisting his coworkers - multi-tasking without a hitch! I came here after a prior Tmobile store ran out of SIM cards that day (what??). I wanted to start a new prepaid hotspot plan and needed a SIM. The associate helped me but unfortunately the process wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped: They accidentally enrolled me in the wrong plan; then switched me to the right plan but this plan wasn't working instantly; the associate had to call their support line; etc. In the end, the associate started a new prepaid account and redid the process, which worked. While my visit took longer than I expected and was an avoidable mishap, I'm giving this place 4 stars, because I appreciated how helpful and supportive the associate was! He recognized I was on a tight schedule, called the support line, and we made sure my device/wifi worked before I left. read more

This is a pretty bad spot that I've gone to over the years but it wasn't the worst one in the area, which doesn't say much because the customer service with all of these locations has been horrific. In my time in the area I've had to go in a few times to this location which sent me to other locations multiple times since they couldn't get my business done. At one point a bit ago I was changing phones & they made me sit there forever but didn't end up getting the data transferred. I didn't go there for my latest purchase and upgrade but I don't feel like they'd actually have been able to attend to it with any actual care to it given the other negative experiences. If you want horrible customer service that isn't the worst in the area, I guess go here but really why are you even bothering with this company anyway? Go find another carrier. Seriously. In all my years of dealing with cell phone store representatives, I have never encountered someone like Matthew. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional and is an asset to customers. If you are looking for a T-Mobile store on the West side, I would highly recommend this T-Mobile store and specifically Matthew. This past weekend, I needed to switch from my previous carrier to T-Mobile, and I had gone to a different nearby T-Mobile store the day before where I was given the wrong information (if I had followed the other store's instructions, it would have been a huge disaster). I was uneasy about what the other store told me, so I took my chances to come here instead and was glad I came when Matthew was working. Matthew gave me the RIGHT information, and he understood the instructions I had been given from my group plan leader about how to switch carriers to the new group plan that was just moved from the other carrier to T-Mobile. I was also undecided about whether I should change from my iPhone to an Android phone (Samsung) or upgrade to the newest iPhone. Matthew was able to provide a wealth of knowledge that helped me decide what was best for my needs. I have never had a sales rep be THIS thorough in explaining the differences. He even had his own phones that he let me feel in my hand and compare, very helpful since the store displays are hard to check out since they are locked down. After I picked my phone brand, model, size, and color, Matthew was careful about walking me through all the technical steps at the register so that I understood very clearly each step and paper I was signing. No confusion, no up-selling, no high pressure. He answered every question I had without hesitation and without having to defer to a manager for an answer. I usually dont like to leave bad reviews, but after speaking with a corporate employee over the phone and another employee at a t-mobile corporate store I felt the need to review and share my experience. I was in the store day before asking about a jump on demand because my lease was almost over. So I ended up walking out with a new phone and the sales rep Jason says "you're good phones in great condition. Return the phone at any t-mobile store when you are done transferring data. You have 14 days" So I went home got everything straightened out and as I go return the old leased phone, one of the employees says I cant return it in that condition. Claims the phone is all scratched up. My phone had one large scratch and a few little ones on the back plate caused from the phone case being. I get upset because If the unit was damaged why did they say it was ok? And why did they lease a new phone? Come to find out after speaking to a corporate employee over the phone that this store is a 3rd party store, and are known for doing things like this. They could not explain how they determine regular wear and tear from excessive wear and tear. I sent pictures to corp. employee who let me know there was nothing rong and to take the phone to one of their corporate stores down the street and they would help me out. As I arrive to the corporate store the employee lets me know that there is no problem with the unit and they can return it no problem. When I told him about the other store he laughs and says "yup thats the 3rd party store. They only like to sell and don't like taking returns". Same as the rep over the phone had explained to me. I work in sales and I know how it goes but, if you don't want to take a hit don't take the sale. Explain to the customer that the phone is damaged from the get go and avoid causing the customer the headache of running around and trying to get things resolved when customer satisfaction is one of the main objective of a sales rep. I wont be coming to this store and I hope non of my friends or family go either. Just keep driving and go to your local corporate store and save yourself a headache. read more

She went above and beyond to assist us even advising us new promotional offers tat fit our needs perfectly. She spent a lot of time with us transferring all our data to our new equipment and never once complained about the amount of time with us. She even worked through her lunch to make sure everything was perfect. Her manager was so very nice as well. Actually the entire staff was amazing. My man Gio hooked it up!! This man here deserves a raise! He went above and beyond to help my wife and I transfer our numbers over from our previous provider to TMobile. We showed up close to closing and he still gave us patience and understanding like we were the first customer of the day. He allowed me the opportunity to charge my phone and contact my provider to get the information needed. Once we realized they were closed he said no worries, we did everything we could at that time (about 25 min after closing) and said to call back the next day to take care of everything else. Once I called he remember my name along with my wife's and got everything taken care of. He was sincere and funny too. I couldn't have asked for a better start to a provider. This customer service experience was beyond 5stars. He deserves a raise for sure. read more

It was my second time at this store and also it was my second time having a bad experience with the representative. The first time took so long for the representative come to assist I believe that he came because the store started being full of customers. I was ready to buy an iPhone 12, when this chubby guy came from the back, store, my girlfriend started talking to him asking several questions and he couldn't handle. It was obvious he was hating to be there, he also was hating to perform his job and deal with the public. In my opinion he should quit that job that was obviously not for him. After my girlfriend argued with him and he gave her attitude. We left that store not buying anything and head to the Westfield mall store. My second time was last Sunday I stepped quickly to make my payment and go to work. There was none at the store besides 3 representatives and 2 customers being assisted by the time that I got in. For my surprise there was 2 rep assisting 1 client I thought this is absurd I just want to place a payment it was fast my deal. I complained and the rep got mad at me. I went into this store earlier today (my THIRD trip here to fix the SAME problem with my phone) and was verbally AND physically antagonized by the store manager (self-proclaimed owner of the store AND T-Mobile), Scott Paulson. The encounter became so heated that I was forced to call the police to make a report about his inappropriate behavior and belligerent demeanor. God help you if JENIFER is the rep you get at this T-Mobile store in the Culver Center at Venice and Overland. I was doing a backup and by battery was getting low. I went to my car and came back with my cord and asked if there was somewhere I could plug my phone in. JENIFER replied, "No." Knowing that I was in a cell phone store and had done exactly what I was asking, I asked her again,"You don't have a plug in that I can't use?" Again, JENIFER replied, "No, we don't have anywhere to plug it in." She then called a co-worker to deal with me. I.asked him the same thing. He replied, "We have a charger, but we're not responsible if something goes wrong." I say, "Cool." Get takes my phone and plugs it in. 0 starts. This location is horrible. The employees (beginning with the "manager" Brian are unprofessional, disrespectful and do not do their job properly. My husband went in today (on New Years Eve) to turn on prepaid service on his Iphone. They sold him a Sim card, sold him a prepaid plan and turned him away stating that's all that needed to be done. Hours later, his phone was not activated, his serial number in the T-Mobile system said that the phone number given to him was connected to a Samsung phone on another network. When he called to follow-up the employee and the manager he first worked with stated that he needed to purchase a phone from their store in addition to the plan and the Sim card. We told them that he wanted to use his already existing Iphone. They said this was impossible to do. We asked for a refund (on the same day) they refused and stated they could not give him a refund for the Sim card or the new monthly prepaid plan, but he would need to buy a phone from them. We then called the T-Mobile customer service number and they stated that he was entitled to a full refund but since he went to this store, that store needed to issue the refund. We called the store and told them what the customer service department said and the store said, "Ok, come in we'll see what we can do" My husband went back to the store and the employees and the manager did not even look at his phone or his newly activated plan and refused to give a refund or active his phone. We called the T-Mobile customer service line again. It turns out the plan and Sim card was activated on a different phone. Within 10 minutes, the customer service representative was able to update the account with the correct phone serial number and we're in business!! The customer service representative asked why our service was activated by that store on a working Samsung phone with a Samsung serial number? Well, we do not know. We do not own any Samsung phones. I'm beginning to think this could be a scam. Avoid this location at all costs! The employees could not simply do their job and the manager did not even bother to see what was going on. The young lady named Tamara was not very pleasant nor easy to work with.!she just seemed annoyed that I was there asking questions, there were some customers next to me that were of jovial loud talkers so it was hard for me to hear the tight lip Tamara. Although this T-Mobile store is small compared to some, the staff completely makes up for it, in fact, the staff is the best I've encountered with than any other store. My family and I were there recently and we were having problems because we had called T-Mobile Customer Service and they had us told us one thing, while the store representative was telling us another. So we we're a bit frustrated, but the store manager, Matthew, was extremely patient with us, very knowledgeable, and explained the store's, as well as T-Mobile's, policies thoroughly so that we could understand.
