I explained that I had an open-box Google Pixel 11 Pro that had been purchased approximately one week earlier and had never been activated. Rather than selling it outright, I was interested in trading it toward an older model. I was initially offered $480 for a device with an MSRP of approximately $1,100, which was already disappointing. When I clarified that I was primarily interested in a trade rather than a direct sale, I was directed to the company's website. After spending additional time answering questions through their online chat and waiting more than 10 minutes between some responses, another representative ultimately told me that they do not buy new phones. The most frustrating part was the inconsistency between representatives and locations. CellNow initially engaged me about acquiring my device, only for another representative to later state that the company does not purchase devices like mine. Had this policy been communicated clearly from the beginning, the entire exchange could have been avoided. Overall, the experience was disappointing because of the extremely low offer, inconsistent information between representatives, and the amount of time wasted trying to determine whether CellNow was actually interested in the type of transaction they initially discussed with me.

When I walked in, an employee named Marco, who was wearing glasses, was helping two customers. He never looked up to greet or acknowledge me. I stood in front of him for 5-10 minutes waiting for some acknowledgment, but he never said a word. I finally asked how long the wait would be, and he told me about 10 minutes. While I was waiting, he seemed to work very slowly, carrying on long conversations instead of trying to help the customers more efficiently. During that time, I saw two other customers walk in, realize no one was going to help them, and leave. After waiting about 15 minutes, he finally helped me, but there was no apology for the wait. I was there to purchase two new phones, and the process only took about five minutes. A couple of weeks later, I discovered that my trade-in had never been processed and several parts of my order had been handled incorrectly. This store needs to be reviewed by Verizon's corporate office. Customers deserve to be acknowledged when they walk in, treated with respect, and have their transactions completed correctly.

With two phones, that's $58 added to the bill. When I saw the upcoming bill amount, I went back to the store and asked another male agent. He told me the charges would change once our old phones were dropped off. They didn't. Three weeks later, I returned to drop off my wife's old phone and asked the same question to another male agent. He gave me the same answer: "it would take 2-3 billing cycles for the amount to change". Later, I discovered that they had added the "Protect Advantage" insurance, which I canceled, so I didn't end up paying the full $19 × 2. But the bill still seemed higher than expected. When I examined the details, I found the "Next Up" plan already charging me $10 × 2, which I canceled immediately. I felt scammed. Many people might keep paying without realizing these plans were added. This is a very shady practice by AT&T. At the very least, the agents should have disclosed these add‑ons. Even when I asked directly, none of them mentioned that these plans had been added.

Since the stores open are very limited, we decided to wait in our car. After a total of 45 minutes, we decided to walk back to the store. The associate at the door said we were next .
