Almost every conversation ended with another reason for the delay--whether it was recovery errors, replacement chips, syncing devices, transfer issues, emergency closures, waiting on parts, or being told it would be finished "tomorrow," "in a few hours," or "in a couple more days." Unfortunately, those promises kept getting pushed back. I understand that data recovery is complex and that unexpected problems can happen. My frustration isn't that the recovery was difficult--it's the lack of honest communication and realistic expectations. If the job was going to take months, I would have appreciated being told that from the beginning instead of repeatedly hearing that it was almost finished. I spent months following up through texts and over 20 phone calls, often being told I'd receive a callback that never came. I even rearranged my schedule multiple times to pick up the drive, only to find out it still wasn't ready. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. In my case, they could not as the rival vendor likely did not use OEM components for the repair given the price disparity. I'd already looked up the price of the OEM part itself, so I know they were honest about the quote discrepancy. That information just would have been nice to know before hand.
