I was told that it could not be done since her old phone was "15-20 software versions behind" and could not connect to their in-store WiFi, which is required to do the phone transfer. I said that's interesting, since her phone routinely connects to WiFi at home and wherever we travel with public WiFi. Further, my iPhone which works perfectly would not connect to their in-store WiFi. They said my phone was a different problem. Said we would have to contact Samsung, but probably had to buy a new phone. First we confirmed at home and other places that her phone connects to WiFi, and we checked online to confirm the the phone had the latest version of software. Then we went to a different AT&T store, where her two phones immediately connected to WiFi and the transfer was complete in about 10 minutes. Amazing. Do not recommend using the AT&T store in Hamburg - incompetent.

The same Chris who, during my visit, noticed how long I'd been there and even mentioned there was a faster transfer method, yet never actually helped me. A formal complaint with corporate has been filed as of 09.24.25 @ 3:05 pm CST enjoy that call our conversation was great :) Original : 09.24.25 (morning) I debated whether to even write this review, but after thinking back on my experience, it definitely deserves one. On Monday, September 22 around 10:45 AM, I went in for a warranty exchange. At first, things seemed fine the gentleman who greeted me was polite and called a manager to bring out the replacement phone. Right away, I noticed two issues: the phone wasn't the color listed on the box, and there were scratches on the lenses. I brushed it off since it was an exchange. The real problems started with the setup. The replacement phone arrived with less than 20% battery, yet no one bothered to plug it in, even though Apple updates require enough charge. I sat waiting while the phone died, and had to flag someone down just to get help. Once it was charging, the update still wouldn't start. Instead of troubleshooting, the tall associate just kept saying "give it a second" without doing anything. I ended up fixing that myself by restarting the device. Next came the transfer. iCloud wouldn't progress for nearly 10 minutes, and again I was told to "just wait." Only after I insisted did the same associate force a shutdown, which temporarily worked. At one point, another employee named Chris noticed how long I'd been there (now approaching two hours) and even mentioned there was a faster transfer method they could've used but it was never attempted. Instead, I was pushed toward a phone-to-phone transfer that could take nearly two more hours, even though I made it clear I had a meeting coming up. What frustrated me most wasn't just the wasted time but the dismissive attitudes. The tall associate kept offering empty suggestions instead of actual help, and the woman I dealt with carried herself with a superior, condescending tone that I did not appreciate. Honestly, from the moment I walked in, I noticed weird looks and a general lack of welcoming energy, which made me feel my presence was a problem. In the end, I canceled the entire exchange, got my money back, and waited until I returned to Florida to do the exchange properly and with no issue. That says a lot. I'll be contacting T-Mobile corporate and customer service because the way this was handled was careless, unhelpful, and disrespectful. Customers shouldn't have to troubleshoot their own warranty exchanges while staff stand around offering excuses, condescension, and attitudes.

I went to this location to upgrade my phone. I told them my camera was broken and I needed a new…read morephone. The employee ensured me that I would get full value for my iPhone 14 even though the camera was cracked. I received an iPhone 17 and kept my old phone for a couple days (you have 30 days to return it to the store) to make sure I got everything transferred over correctly. I took the old phone back within a week or two and a new employee was helping me. He told me that I was only going to get half credit value for my phone since the camera was broken, even though the other employee (who was right next to us) had told me it didn't matter that my camera was broken. Thankfully this employee had a way for me to get my camera fixed free of charge, and allowed me to trade in my old phone for the price I was told before. He is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. Once I traded everything in, I thought everything was good. I got my new bill for my new phone, and the first month was extremely expensive, like more than double what I was paying previously, when I was told it was going to be relatively the same. I knew that there were activation fees for the first month so I let it slide. The second month it was still ridiculously expensive, a little less than the first month but still way more than what I was quoted. I called ATT to figure out why my bill was so high, and they said the Richmond road employees had ADDED the top tier insurance plan and the ATT next up anytime to my bill without my consent. This added almost $40 a month to my bill, and I'm only paying for one line. I asked the customer service associate if that was something that they just automatically put on new phones, and they said no and that I would've had to specifically ask for that to put be put on my bill when I upgraded my phone. I told her to remove that immediately because I had never asked for that nor did I consent to either of those being added to my bill. Basically they have no idea what they're doing (except the one nice guy who was actually helpful) and will add things to your bill without your consent!!!!!
