Really not happy with this store. Wouldn't allow me to upgrade because they "couldn't verify my ID". I'm from WA but living in LA now and haven't yet updated my ID (because it's still valid). They pull up their program that shows the different IDs and my ID clearly matched the older version of WA state. Even after the manager (Brianna) came over and took a look at my ID and agreed that it was fine, the rep I was working with INSISTED that it didn't "feel" like a real ID. The next manager comes over and tells me that they couldn't verify and I need to have a California ID. I was very embarrassed to be essentially accused of using a fake ID. This ID was issued to me in 2016 and I've used it for everything from signing apartment leases, buying cars, STARTING my phone plan. Humiliated doesn't begin to explain how I feel, I left the store nearly in tears after being treated like a straight up criminal. I understand that stores need to do their due diligence but just because someone's ID doesn't "feel" real even though the rep said himself that he's never seen a WA ID is very accusatory and unprofessional. Way to lose my business T-mobile! Came in to upgrade my phones but instead I'm switching to ATT. read more

I was in the Montebello mall store location where I was only there to inquire about needing a new SIM for an upgraded phone. Not only did Jose say I didn't need it, but he took the time to open a difficult case, transfer my daughter's information to the new phone and show her how to use it. My experience at this T-Mobile was great. I was helped by Jasmin and occasionally kept company by Johnny while waiting for my phone to be backed up. Jasmin was very helpful and efficient while processing my new contract and phone purchase. She made me feel attended at all times and it helped that she had a lovely personality, so the wait wasn't as boring as it could have been. This store is pretty well attended with very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and they also play cool music while you wait. I would definitely come back for any other needs I have. I came here to re-connect my phone. Staff was friendly at first. I had a problem with my memory so one of the workers took it to check it out. He obviously had no idea what he was doing and ended up deleting all of my pictures. Over 2500 pics and memories gone. No apology or anything he straight out just walked away and left me with another worker who couldn't do anything about it. I ended up leaving mad and sad, totally regretting I ever came here. Worst customer service. Went in to have my SIM card checked on my brand new phone. A Salesman asked if I needed help. As soon as I explained my situation he started playing little mind games with me. He took my phone and hesitated, just staring at it as if he was not interested in helping me. Then I asked him if he could check to see if my telephone number was active because I haven't set up my phone yet and that idiot High School reject had the nerve to come at me sarcastically and tell me why haven't I setup my phone yet to check the number myself to see if it was active. I told him that I hadn't had the time and all he had to do was check on the computer. At that point I lost it. I told him do not disrespect me and do not talk down to me like that. I walked in with the sole purpose of inquiring about adding another line to my plan and ended up switching my girlfriend over from Verizon and helping her add a line. I had the pleasure of working with Ken Loo and he really went above and beyond as far as customer service and helped us figure out the most cost effective way to get lines added. I really feel like he looked out for us, explaining everything in detail and drawing things out on paper so that both of us could understand. He made sure my current unlimited plan (which isn't available anymore since it's an old plan) wasn't altered and got us the most money for trading in an old iPhone. Would highly recommend Ken to anyone looking for any questions regarding T-Mobile and/or switching over from another carrier. He really knows his products/plans and is extremely helpful. This is normally my go to store for t mobile other locations usually make you feel rushed and bothered whereas this store has always had its employees go the extra mile for their customers. Sadly though I went in the other day to inquire about upgrading my phone (fully intending to spend my money at their location) I walked I walked in saw a few employees talking amongst themselves other helping customers. I was not acknowledged except for one gentleman who told me when I tried to get his attention that I would have to wait because he was busy with someone else. I back up assuming maybe he was flustered with the current customer (trying to give the benefit of the doubt because we all know retail jobs can be frustrating) waiting for maybe 20 minutes seeing other people come in and out of the store being acknowledged and helped immediately I decided to just leave. It's sucks to say it but it was pretty embarrassing just standing there waiting while others came in and were helped right away. This was my favorite location maybe I just came on a bad day I don't know all I know is I left very disappointed. read more

T-Mobile service has been almost the same since I switched from AT&T. The reason why I'm giving this store such a low score is that the sales person had no idea what she was talking about. When we switched, we got credits for 2 phones we traded in. I asked her if the credits are included in the balance that TMobile would give us for switching to pay off our termination fees with ATT. She said no. The credits for the trade ins are extra and we can buy whatever we want from TMobile store using those credits. She also said once we get the bills from our old carriers with the termination bills that she would pay those off and take care of the bill. Well when we got the bills she said that they would give us a gift card with that amount and that it takes 6-8 weeks. How am I suppose to pay those bills now? When we got the gift cards they had subtracted the amount that they originally gave us for the trade ins. After she had told us that they wouldn't. She either lied about everything or had no idea what she was talking about. I asked her maybe 5-6 times if she was sure she could pay off the bills and that we wouldn't get a gift card. And I also asked her 5-6 times if she was sure the credits for the trade ins wouldn't be subtracted from the amount they'd give us for the termination fees. Now we ended spending 300 dollars at the stupid TMobile store on accessories we could've lived without. And I'm short 300 on the termination fees that I had to pay for for my sister and father in law. Thanks TMobile. Never trusting any sales person anymore. Always going to follow my instincts and read the fine print. read more

Moving on forward, a sales associate named Joshua made the whole entire process smooth. He answered all of my questions and did not pushed me into buying devices that I didn't want (I'm also in sales) but purchased not just one iPhone 6 Plus but 2nd iPhone 6 Plus for my wife as well. My family & I recently left sprint and switched to T-Mobile, we worked with Mark & Elizabeth at the Westfield Mall in Montebello. The day we switched carriers everything went smoothly, or we thought it did, besides the 4 hours that we were there connecting our new phones. That night my dads phone was not working and he later noticed it wasn't activated after her was told it was before we left the store. My dad uses his phone for work so it was very inconvenient for him and he had to rush back to the store the following day to get it resolved. He once again worked with Mark at the store trying to figure out why he's phone was not connected & when Mark supposably fixed the problem my dad noticed he had connected my husbands line under his phone, which meant my husband now had no service. My husband is a manager and uses his phone for work all day & that is how he communicates with his clients. This caused so much stress and problems for both my dad and husband due to Mark not doing his job for correctly & connecting the right number under the correct phone. Mistakes that should have not been made. So far we have had a horrible experience with T-Mobile and wish we could have gone with a different carrier due to the problems that have been caused at store level by the associates. Today, my dad had to go back again because once again his phone had no service due to an update he accepted. He went back to the Montebello store at the Westfield mall and worked with Elizabeth where she tired to blame him for the problems occurring with his phone, and which was just using her personal phone while "helping" my dad. That is such poor customer service and is not ok. I work in customer service and the way we been treated is so unacceptable. What happens to all our time that has been wasted? I could rate 0 stars I would. Defiantly wouldn't recommend this T-Mobile store. read more

So I added a line and got my tablet and the guy told me that I will receive a rebate card in the mail. Just got the rebate today and love the tablet. read more

I would like to thank John for helping me out today. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the entrance and was immediately assisted with opening a new account. They didn't have the color phone I wanted, but they went out of their way to get it for me from their kiosk location. John provided excellent customer service and made sure I understood every step of the process. He was very honest and did not pressure me to purchase anything I was not interested in. I would definitely recommend anyone who is worried about switching service providers to visit this location because the staff is very helpful and professional. John even gave me his number so I could text him with any questions after I left the store so I was very comfortable throughout the process and had peace of mind knowing that if I came across any issues after already leaving the store, that I would have someone to personally assist me. read more
