Horrible customer service, doesn't want to help customers. All they want just to add new lines

I recently visited this T-Mobile store and had a very disappointing experience. When I walked in, no one greeted me or acknowledged me. I stood there waiting, unsure of what to do, and one of the employees just put her hand out toward me in a way that felt dismissive and confusing. It made me feel unwelcome and singled out. I came in to get a screen protector replaced, but I never saw anyone even check for one. Instead, I was told their iPad "wasn't working," so they couldn't help me. The whole interaction felt unprofessional, and the way I was treated made me feel racially profiled. I left the store without any assistance. This isn't a surprise to me after reading these comments on yelp rating with this store. I walked in today for a SIM card replacement the girl told me that I am not the account holder and refused my service with a bad attitude. Then I ask to transfer my data from the old phone to a new phone. She makes me feel very uncomfortable. If is someone working in a customer service environment aren't they supposed to provide great customer experience? This is not a store you wanna go for customer service. Horrible service - The worst ever - Don't go there. I walked in the store. Following behind me was a lady. There was no hello/ hi sort of thing. We waited like 40 minutes. Then another couple came in. Another 30 minutes passed. Then the first available salesman went directly to the last couple that came in last. I told him I was next in line. He looked at me and ignored me. I told him 3 times that me and the lady behind me was in the store first. He just ignored us and continued with the couple that came in last. No apology at all. This location never seems to give out T-Mobile Tuesday items. I came at 10, right when they opened, to get the item, but they always say it's 'ran out' or 'no longer available.' It feels odd since the store had just opened. I can't help but wonder if the staff might be keeping the items for themselves. read more

First of all, the previous staff members were fantastic in the store, but recently, the current staff has been rude. During my visit, when it was my turn for assistance, the staff was busy with their own things without even looking up and interrupted my questions at a very fast speed. Even after patiently waiting for a chance to speak, the service was impatient and dismissive. They would even engage in conversations with others in Cantonese, ignoring my presence entirely. It's disappointing that basic interpersonal skills are lacking, especially when they were in a position to be with a guest who was looking for professional help. I'm unsure if it's due to their mood or work pressure, but their treatment of customers is unacceptable. Well, I'll likely avoid coming here unless absolutely necessary, feeling apprehensive about future encounters. read more

I have honestly visited here more than once, and each time it just ends up being a bad experience. I am DONE with this place, NEVER coming back here again! The first time I came here, was around 3 years ago. I needed help on getting a new SIM card for my mother. She needed a microSim, because she ended up getting a new phone that needed it. So I told the manager that, and he asks what kind of phone did she get. I was wondering why it should matter when all I needed was a new SIM card, but nevertheless I answered him saying she has a OnePlus X. Then he immediately responds saying: "No we cannot open a new SIM card for her we don't use that phone! It's not with T-Mobile." He ended up kicking me out of the place, without even answering my questions as to if there were other ways for me to get a new SIM card. (We did end up getting a new SIM card for my mother, but at another more welcoming and helpful T-Mobile store.) Second experience was around 2016 mid-summer-ish, came here with my dad to help him out since he was thinking about upgrading to a new phone from iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6. Same manager kept pushing for my dad to just throw away the iPhone and to get the Samsung Note instead. And at that time T-Mobile had a deal saying that you may exchange your old iPhone for a new one, to cover some of the charges and pay the difference in a payment plan. The manager was honestly just trying to rip my dad off and get more sales for the Samsung Galaxy. This was more of a ploy to try to get some commission for selling a Samsung phone. The most recent experience was actually today. I came to this T-Mobile (because it was on the way home from work and is the closest to my house) to get the Free Zip Pouch due to T-Mobile Tuesdays. I checked the store's hours before going (around 5:35pm) and saw that it closes at 8pm. Low and behold when I get there at 5:45pm the doors are already locked with the manager and employees standing their staring/glaring at me. The manager comes to open the door and just answers "No more bags/pouches." Doesn't even bother to ask what I'm there for or anything of the sort. I respond with "Oh really? Thanks anyways!" And his response? Closes the door and locks it again, all the while glaring at me. The main thing I want to point out is attitude of the manager as well as the employees. All the times I've been here, the employees NEVER do anything to help the customers; they're constantly on their phone playing games, texting people, or better yet smoking at the back door. They end up leaving everything to the manager to handle. And the manager isn't that helpful either. His attitude is just pompous and neither does he have respect for the customers that come in for help. He talks down to the customers as if they're dumb or stupid and can't understand what he's saying. But the reason customers come for help is because they don't know and are ASKING for help/guidance! He makes it seem as if he has your best interest, but overall he doesn't, he's just looking out for himself. I hope my review of this T-Mobile store does it's due diligence and warns every future customer. Do NOT come here unless you are expecting to be treated poorly. read more

This is my first visit to this store and I was delightfully surprised. The store manager Vi is superb, and amazingly exceeded my expectations of good customer service and his passion to help. Because my Samsung Galaxy S2 needed a standard sim card (the old larger size), I was going to get it for $15. Instead of selling it, Vi creatively made a tray large enough to house my other active micro sim card from the S4. Then he inserted the tray into my S2. This eliminated the need for the standard sim card. Now I can use the same micro sim card on either of my Galaxy phones, and I can switch between not just them, but other different phones as often as I like. Not only did he taught me that such a thing is possible, but he did this FREE OF CHARGE when I'm not even a customer there ... wow, he was awesome! Vi also spent about 30 minutes answering a lot of my questions, and during that whole time he never pressured me into buying anything. He finds and suggests alternative ways of saving customers money. That is how wonderfully honest he is! I highly recommend his services; you are not going to find a better salesman. Today initially started as a special day for me, and later having met the resourceful Vi made it even more special and complete. Thank you Vi, you made my day ... the knowledge I gained from you during this store visit will be one of my top highlights this whole year!
