This location has amazing associates. I called to check if they had a certain phone I wanted and when I got to the location Fierce was the associate who helped me over the phone. He was very welcoming and took care of me in a timely manner since I was short on time. He did his job and offered me additional products but sadly I didn't need. But he didn't make me feel pressured or uncomfortable. He answered my questions I had with the up most respect. This is not my normal location to purchase but I'm so glad and greatfull that Fierce was the one who helped me out. You're doing amazing. He was also very polite in offering me a chair to sit on. So recently I had several very bad experiences at several T-Mobile stores. 1. Very poor customer service. I was sent away twice from the same store. Once when there was no other customer present and the sign on the door said they were open. The second time when they had only one other person to serve but they refused to serve me. 2. Low training standards and very poor communication skills. I am getting tired of being asked the standard store questions. In one store I had an employee waste 10 minutes of my time while she checked my plan out. I came for a replacement phone. She would not answer my question (phone in stock?) and just went on with the standard question spiel she had been trained on. Yet again the touchscreen was more important than the person and his lunch break. 3. Lack of concern about customer service. I have had problems in the past with T-Mobile shutting off my phone and treating me as a financial truant. After investigation I found out why the payments were not made: A/ Their website was not working properly when I renewed my autopay account. B/ I called and talked to a representative who reset the auto payments but entered my credit card number incorrectly. End result was that they cut my phone service, after they failed to take autopay twice. I did report this to customer service and asked for an explanation and apology. Needless to say, I got neither. 4. When my phone was stollen, I ended up spending hours travelling to 3 different stores with the novel expectation that they would have a phone in stock or be able to make some effort to get me back working. No phone in stock, no desire to serve me and an afternoon and morning wasted. The time lost in the process ended up costing me twice as much as the stolen phone. You can buy a new phone but can never recover the time lost in the process. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Jackie. We were making the decision to add our phone lines together, so we knew one of us was going to leave our carrier. On paper, our choices weren't much different, but Jackie's customer service was the deciding factor. She was so patient, helped us find the right plan, and helped us set up our new phones. I'd like to start off by saying that T-Mobile as a company has been super easy to work with and I recommend everyone switch over. It's been 4 years at the point and regret nothing. Store representatives vary by location, and thankfully have never had a bad experience. Most recently at the Hillcrest location I had the pleasure of working with Jamaal, and the experience was fantastic. He went over everything super clearly, was immensely helpful, and since I spent a good amount on time in the store, he was great to talk to as well. My mom uses Verizon service and the surcharges and free charges were ridiculous and so we switched to T Mobile. I searched out the stores and read the reviews for different stores. I decided to try this store and it was the right choice. Fernando helped us as soon as we stepped inside the store. He greeted us and let us know there is a waiting time of about 20 min. We waited and after some minor personnel issue, he came over to help us. He was so cordial and patient and we finished the transfer of the lines. He answered all our concerns and we could not have been happier with his service. I even asked him if he is the manager since he was the only one constantly checking people in and letting them know how long might be the wait. He greets everyone with a smile. Contrary to what the Yelp site says, masks are not required, Staff doesn't wear masks. So far we've spent five hours in two visits trying to complete the switch from another carrier. We've worked with four different people. "I don't know, I'll have to ask the manager. He's not here today." "I don't know. I'll get back to you." The features listed online are different from the list they showed us in the store. They don't seem to know how to set up the Netflix feature or the AAA feature. We're waiting. Went in for a new phone to replace an old Samsung. I am not tech savvy and was very disappointed in the customer service/assistance. 1) Asking about available products, the representative (unmasked) showed us 3 without any elaboration on the specs/performance of each. "We have these three," we were shown twice. 2) Very little detail when explaining/comparing available plans. 3) Data transfer from one phone to another - almost non existent assistance after the phones were connected. It would be nice to check on customers and see if any assistance is needed or how someone is doing esp when we are spending forever because of their slow wi-fi. On September 7 2021 my wife and I were looking to buy new phones for the kids hence why we decided to go to T-Mobile, we chose the one closest to our house which is this one at 120 W Washington St San Diego, CA 92103 United States Well that was the worst choice we've ever made. We were greeted by SAM at first he seemed very honest and helpful though things started looking a little sketchy when he started to whisper to us so his teammates won't hear the false promises he was making to us just to seal the sale. We opened up 3 new lines and bought 2 iPhone 12s he didn't tell us they didn't have any in stock until the process was already done, he promised if we payed an extra $50 we would get them the next day although he knew that was a lie. He also told us we only had to pay a certain amount of money and when we gave our card info we were charged hidden fees we were never told about, over $1000 My wife and I went to complain and once again he kept on whispering making more false promises swearing to god and on his name that we would not only get our money back but also 2 monthly bills free on the store's name which was also a lie he also promised me an additional $50 for "recommending" someone to switch to T-Mobile when I never mentioned that, we never cared for that we just wanted our phones and the lines, he also gave me a free screen protector which was nice of him but he was just doing it so we won't cancel the lines and phones. He then wen on giving us different excuses to why the phones weren't arriving on time which were all lies as well, before we left their store on September 14 2021, a week after we were supposed to get our phones he promised us the phones were arriving the next day or the one after. Well they never did, we tried contacting him calling the store and leaving messages for him to return our call but there was nothing, no call back, no service, no phones, nothing! We came to find out he didn't work those two days he had scheduled us to go which is disrespectful because time is precious and no one likes to waste their time let along someone else's time, well he does. We went to the store and spoke to another t mobile team member as well as the assistant manager they were very helpful, they also confessed to us that everything that SAM had told us were nothing but false promises and that they would fix it. We contacted customer service at T-Mobile center and were told that if we wanted to cancel the phones we would have to pay $140 for cancellation fees and that would come out of our pockets, which is unfair because we didn't make any mistakes we complied with everything we had to do. We were told that if we cancelled everything we would have to pay $140 for the phone cancellation and another $140 for cancelling the lines, and we were not getting our money back until OCTOBER 17 2021 a month and 10 days after we visited t-mobile. The assistant manager advised us to just wait for the manager STEPHANY which was on vacations to speak to her and see if she would be helpful and maybe help us keep the line and phones but they never did, they only gave us an appointment but at this point we didn't want to waste our time anymore. We opted out for a NO-INSTALL but we were told by the assistant manager that we couldn't avoid the cancellations fee but we can always file a dispute to our bank on the transaction saying that it wasn't us, I don't know if she's aware or not but that's fraud and for her to tell us that, that's very unprofessional. We found out the phones were arriving on SEPTEMBER 24 2021, only to receive an email saying that due to an isolated issue our order was undeliverable and were charged $140 for no reason. The email also says we were refunded for our money and we have not received anything. This people aren't only thieves they are also Liars and have no will to help they only care about their commission and not about helping the costumer. I am very upset and seeking help from corporate before I lawyer up. DO NOT GO TO THIS T-MOBILE THEY WILL SCAM YOU FOR YOUR MONEY! read more

What a wonderful experience I had a T-Mobile on Saturday, April 28, 2023. I finally decided after almost 30 years to switch from Verizon. Verizon took me for granted. Never offering me anything in the way of special rates or new phones for my loyalty. I don't know why it took me so long. I walked into the T Mobile store on Washington in First in Hillcrest at 11 in the morning and was greeted promptly by , one of their team members Elias Ortiz. I asked him if he was patient and he said "very patient. And I said that's good because when you're dealing with "old people" you need to be patient. He treated me like his own mama. Assuring that all of my devices, four in total, were transferred over with ease. He took the time to, assure that I was getting all of my rebates possible., my devices that were eligible were paid off and even took the time to set up my auto pay.I'm so happy I switched to T-Mobile. If you're 55 and over, especially, take a look at their extraordinary programs. And ask for Elias to help you. You won't be disappointed. read more

For whatever reason, this is a good location. Yes, it is on busy Washington Street, but, hello--there is a small parking lot in the back. I came in on an early Saturday morning and had no problems at all. There are very proficient employees who knew just what smart phone case I was looking for and found it immediately. He also courteously helped put on the clear protector cover.
