WARNING! : This Place is not Verizon. It is a Franchise. I am referring to the location near See's candy by Safeway at Sequoia Station in Redwood City. They are completely unethical or at the very least grossly incompetent. Don't waste your time or money, especially time. Go directly to corporate store down the street by Target. I only stopped by this place because they were open an hour later, thinking I could save some time. I think there only interest is getting you to sign up for long term services and purchase their way overpriced products. They seem quite proud of the price gouging. One idiot even kept bragging to another coworker about how they were able to convince someone to return for "extra" services. I guess they get a commission each time. Definitely, don't bring loved ones there with a limited English capacity or diminished mental faculties. Nothing there is transparent as far a pricing goes. DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING AND DON'T SIGN ANYTHING AS THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN WHAT YOU WANT AND GET. Tried to activate a device, got charged for who knows what. According to the person activated said device, everything is fine. I didn't use device right away. Device didn't work when I eventually tried it. Went to corporate store down the street as I was nearby, only to find out device was "broken". It never worked. Verizon exchanged said device for one of their own. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT SHOP HERE (Verizon Victra at 1025 El Camino Real) unless you want to get totally scammed by dishonest sales people. 1) Phone equipment in store is marked up to double the price of the same equipment on Verizon's own website. 2) Sales people were not at all transparent about various "fees" that were added to my purchase. Then when I sought a refund, the store manager lied to my face about the amount I would be getting back, to try to hide that they would not be giving me back the fees that I had been charged. 3) MOST IMPORTANTLY, you can get WAY better deals elsewhere. I went here to trade in my old iphone and get an iphone 17. Because I hadn't gotten a new phone in a long time, i knew that i was due for an upgrade and Verizon usually has great deals. The store told me i was due for an upgrade and that the very best deal they could offer was to give me an $11 monthly rebate on my bill (a fraction of the cost of the new phone). I took the deal at first, but then because of how shady they were at the store, I had second thoughts and returned the phone the next day. I then went to a different Verizon Victra location to start fresh and at the new store, without me even asking, they told me that I was due for an upgrade and was entitled to a credit for the ENTIRE AMOUNT of a new iphone 17. DO NOT SHOP at Verizon 1025 El Camino Real. There are other Verizon locations nearby where you can avoid shady sales people and get a much better deal on your Verizon products. read more

I spent $72 on protective screen glass that within two weeks started lifting off and then the third week it cracked not a chip in. It just decided to crack. I went back in the first 30 days and told him I want my money back they said they wouldn't do it. That I should register it with the company that made the glass and they'll send me a new screen. I have no faith in that screen whatsoever. Why would I want it on my phone? I just wanted my money back. Now I'm out $72 and I still need to get us screen protector for my phone. read more

Warning: Not the Corporate Store, Shady Victra Verizon has abysmal service. They remain buoyant with positive reviews online because anytime a guest is upset, they claim to be located at 2501 El Camino instead of their actual location on 1025 El Camino Real. This way, online grievances will be posted to the wrong store, sabotaging the efforts of the corporate Verizon store to keep this 3rd Party Verizon retailer afloat. I called a Verizon number that 'transferred' me to the Verizon store at 2501 El Camino Real, Redwood City, right in the Target Plaza. The phone number on Google did not match the address location and I asked, "is this the phone number for the 2501 el Camino location?" The representative said yes but I did not trust him. I had to ask their name and he said 'Andrew'. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they are "pretty much a manager". I insisted that I need a manager and they insisted that they were qualified enough. He kept on insisting he was qualified to handle whatever the situation was and I told him he wasn't as close to being a manager as he thought because he didn't even introduce himself on the phone. He literally started the conversation with a confused, "Hello?". Who does that?! He then scheduled me an appointment the following day with his Assistant Manager, Esmerelda. When I arrive to meet Esmeralda, I am told "there is no one of that name who works here". I do get connected to manager, Andrew D., who was awesome. I find out that the Andrew I talked to the day before is from Victra Verizon down the street. They are a 3rd party for Verizon that is horrible. I told Andrew D. that he should call himself 'Andy' to not be affiliated with and distinguish himself from the liar down the street. Verizon needs to cut Victra off. Andrew from Victra was eager to help but unpolished and he told me that for three locations, they have 2 managers. This is exactly why Victra has problems. There is a lack of management and the inmates are running the asylum. Victra's owners don't care because they're still making money but it's unfair because their eager employees aren't trained how to do their job correctly. I hate getting lied to and dishonesty is clearly something that Victra encourages. Why tell me the wrong location? When I suspected I wasn't talking the correct store, I was assured that google had the information wrong. This place sucks big time and I'm celebrating when they go out of business. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was the smell of marijuana. "Smells good in here," I told the employee who greeted me. He feigned ignorance, but it soon became obvious to me that he was stoned. (I'm not going to give his name because I don't want to get anyone fired, but I hope the management takes note and ups their game.) The employee proceeded to try and help me with my request. He seemed semi-knowledgeable at first, but he didn't really know the products and wasn't able to give me accurate info. He was about to sell me the wrong product when I caught the error and corrected him. I ended up buying three things on his recommendation -- all the while dreading it, because I knew he was high -- and sure enough, one of the products turned out to be the wrong one (I found out later). At the end of the transaction he informed me he wasn't able to print out a receipt, so I requested that he email me one instead. I checked my email (I knew I would probably need a receipt later, because he was stoned and there was a good chance I might have to return incorrect stuff), but it hadn't arrived. I asked him who the email would be coming from, and he said Verizon. I checked my Junk email and saw about ten emails from something called "Victra", but since he had told me it would be from Verizon, I figured that was something else. Eventually I figured out -- with no help from Stoner Guy -- that the Victra emails were my receipt (spammed to me ten times, for some reason), and when I told him "You said it would be from Verizon," he replied "Verizon, Victra...I was close." This disastrous experience is typical of the low competency levels and poor customer service I'm seeing a lot nowadays. The same thing happened at Target earlier that day. Things didn't use to be this bad, did they? Employees don't know their products, they don't know their inventory, they don't give a shit, they smoke weed on the job, they don't know the basics of customer service -- sometimes they don't even speak English. The number of business establishments left in America where decent customer service is still a thing seems to be rapidly dwindling, and this store looks like yet another sad example of that trend. read more

Good afternoon Sue E. I was the gentleman that came in while you were being assisted and actually witnessed the quite opposite. You walked in with a very entitled attitude and were cursing and yelling at the 2 workers present. I was in shock of how patient they were being despite of your cursing and yelling. I almost wanted to step in and say something for them. They remained patient to not escalate the situation. I was very pleased with my experience and how helpful the young lady was and there was nothing aggravating about her attitude. The young gentleman who helped you remained very calm while helping you as well. Once my issue was resolved, before leaving I very clearly heard the young lady say to her coworker " I am going on lunch , I will be back in 45 minutes call me if you need anything." She did not just get up and leave to not help you nor did I hear customer service say they wanted to speak to her, as your phone was on speaker. I would 10/10 prefer to go to this store over the one by target any day. I find them to be unprofessional and rude. I hope my review is helpful on seeing my side of the story. What the company decides to do with their policy and system is not the workers fault. Please be mindful that they are human too and they do not make the rules. I went in to this Verizon to do an early upgrade on my phone. Esmeralda P was the person who helped me and she was amazing!! She went above and beyond in service, telling me the different benefits for the 2 different ways to trade in my phone. She also made sure I was set to go with a camera lens protector and screen protector when I left. Not only was she knowledgeable about the warranties and details that comes with the accessories of the phone, she also installed my screen protector and camera lens on my phone for me!! I ordered 2 iPhones for pickup, one in Palo Alto Verizon and this Verizon store in Redwood City (long story). The Palo Alto one literally took me less than a minute to pick up and there were 7 trained reps waiting to help. The Verizon store in Redwood City had one young guy with 3 parties waiting. When he got to me after a 15 minute wait he told me there was 10 minute delay while they opened their safe. The store is tiny, clearly a mom and pop run place and in shabby shape. I'd highly recommend going to the Palo Alto store instead. read more

Purchased a new IPhone and Apple Watch at the above store on 3/8/24. I was assisted by Jonathon R and Samantha H. I was told they were managers at the store and not consistently there. The store hours are arbitrary as I experienced having gone there several times. The first time it was opened way later than stated and the second time a handwritten sign noted that they were closed for lunch and would be back 45 minutes later (with no stated time of return). When I went to the store on March 8th as Jonathan was making changes to my account, I told him I was paying $126/month and want reassurance that my bill going forward would not be more that an extra $20/month. He reassured me (consistently) that it would not. He asked how the WIFI was in my house. I told him the only problem was getting the signal in a back room for the printer. He talked me into getting another Gateway for the back room. I asked him if there was an extra charge for and he told me no. When I received notice of my next bill it was for over $320. I called the 650 number associated with the store and they were no help. I tried the online chat and got no help. I then went to the corporate store (where I should have gone initially) and they provided me with a 1-800 number, and I was able to speak to someone that was actually able to help me. They said there was a $70 charge for the 2nd gateway and a separate charge for phone line, and, though I turned in my old watch, that number was also still on my plan. My charges for the following month were supposed to be $195/month. Once corrections were made and I returned the 2nd gateway (100% refundable since within 30 days) my monthly bill now should be about $135/month. In addition, I was told I would get a 20% discount on any accessories I purchased. When I looked at my charges for March 8th, I found out these were not calculated correctly. I had to go back to the store for an additional credit of $25. When I went in to have the correction made there were at least 3 employees at the store and none were the original people I dealt with. One of the employees was a younger brother of Jonathan R. He was the only one that knew how to process the credit and he had to contact his brother to do it. The other two employees were of little help (it was one employee first day). I waited for over an hour to get help with. When I contacted Verizon for the bill corrections, I explained the mess up on the bill that the original employee (Jonathan R) had made. The customer service person agreed to call me while I was in the original store to discuss the matter. When I went to the store again two employees were there. They were two of the employees that were there when I received the correction for my accessories discount (not Jonathan nor Samantha-who, as explained to me, had just had surgery). When I told them about the mess on my bill, how the customer service person was correcting and was going to call me on my phone and wanted to talk to someone at the store the girl became agitated. When I received that call and said that he wanted to speak to her she walked out of the store, got into her car and left. The corporate store manager said they received many complaints about this store and had to make many corrections for numerous customers because of them. read more

Melissa was awesome. I had gotten pissed off at Verizon and switched over to Sprint. Only, their service was terrible, and they screwed up the switch. Sprint was supposed to port my number and then change it, but instead they just signed me up with a new number right on top of my Verizon service. So I ended up with my phone a mess and barely working - at all! It took a long time to get the phone working right, but Melissa stuck with me until we got it fixed. I really appreciated her patience and dedication. She also did her best to help me get a Pacifica telephone number, but there were none to be had. Gotta work on that Verizon! We should be able to pick a city, not just an area code. All in all, I was very pleased with the service that I got at this store. They were exceptional. Highly recommended. read more

The manager in charge of this Verizon location, his name is Nicholas, he is Amazing at costumer service. He is always willing to help, great at explaining everything and always very professional. He is definitely an amazing asset to this place, fast, patient, ready to give solutions and answers. While we were there he answered the phone to another costumer and was very polite and patient to this person, he also went outside to ask a person waiting in line if he could wait while he helped us. Well done !! We actually went in to get information on a different day and there was a lady who was a completely different story very harsh and rude. That's why I wanted to a mention how great Nicholas is. It is definitely not easy or common to find people who are as good at costumer service as he is. There are 6 people who have been patiently waiting, wasting our time on a sunday. If you plan on being gone for longer then post that so that people can go do other things instead of waiting around like dumbasses. Honestly, have been to this location and the service has been subpar so this really doesn't surprise me. I scheduled an appointment here for 7:00pm to have my numbers switched between two new phones. I chose this store because they were open until 8pm. When I arrived, there was a customer being helped by a young man, Jose, I believe. By 7:15pm, the first customer was still being helped and three more customers had gotten in line behind me. It was clear that some would not get help before they closed. With the closing hour coming soon, Jose professionally handled the waiting customers and was able to successfully get my phones switched while also helping the other waiting customers. In what would normally be a stressful situation, Jose kept a welcoming and friendly attitude. We all actually chatted with each other while Jose took worked hard for us. Over all great experience. Terrible customer service. Felt like slimy used car salesman. 2 males who seemed irritated to be there and became less helpful when they realized my son didn't want the most expensive phone. The other guy was very rude and condescending to a man who came in about a billing issue. The store says verizon but its not a verizon store but an authorized retailer. However treating customers like they are stupid for seeing the giant verizon sign and understandably thinking it is a verizon store is terrible customer service or even basic people skills. It doesn't say "A Verizon authorized retailer" on the store. Its not really prominently displayed and they should have more patience that people will be confused. In the same vein they were both irritated when I was confused why I couldn't buy my son's phone in full. I was told "at least $50 needs to be financed as that is how the retailer makes their money on the back end". I would have left then but they both lied to me. First they said no corporate verizon stores are open because of covid 19 only they are open. Simply not true. Before I knew they weren't actually verizon I asked why the verizon website had my son's phone for cheaper than the store. I was told "oh because they charge a $40 activation fee and we only charge $20" . That is true in general but its $100 cheaper so that didn't totally explain the difference. I was cautioned against trying to my son's purchase or my transfer to verizon/get my new phone online as "its confusing and easy to make mistakes and get mischarged." I was stressed, it was my sin's birthday present snd I thought they were the only stores open so I proceeded against my better judgment. When he realized they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock to sell me he just stopped helping me and told me he would call me when my phone came in. I asked well can't I do the transfer to verizon now then when my new phone comes in swap phones? He said "Oh I don't think your phone is eligible but I can check if you want?" He said he checked using my phone's IME and my phone wasn't eligible. Another lie. He never called me for my new phone . When I trued myself online my phone was eligible to transfer (I may have bought it at ATT but it was paid off and in any event could be transferred. When all was said and done I did the transfer and order online myself . I lucked it up from a real Verizon store and everything was smooth. The employee there was polite and helpful. read more

I agreed to stop by the store in the future to talk. Weeks later I actually did. A service oriented, problem solver, Mandeep put me on a new Verizon plan saving me $100/month!--with no change in how I use my phone or iPad. He answered all my questions on foreign travel phone usage and encouraged me to stop by any time with questions and concerns. Great guy, great attitude.
