    Poor Verizon signal in Santa Fe. Even if you have 3 bars their system is overloaded. I feel like I am back in the old days of cell phones.

    I signed up for their service in Rio Rancho Area, they told their service plan starts from…read more$40/month. I was surprised by their other charges, apart from installation fee $100, I was told I had to pay for the antenna which costs $300. So I agreed to that, then I later found out that it is only $300 if you pay it one time (OR)$348 if you pay in one year, 2 year $360 if you choose to pay in installments. This is bad as the agents don't tell it and expect the customers to read everything and educate ourselves and blame us for signing the document. In any case I was only aware of this after 2 months of installation so of course the rate should be prorated because I was willing to payoff the antenna. The customer service agent told me I owe $326 for the antenna inspite of me making 2 payments already($30.20). They wouldn't prorate the amount for me which is an additional $2.5 a month. They simply stated that since I signed a two year contract (never did, that's the default one) and I owe $360 for antenna because of that. The contract only gives 2 options 1.Pay $300 or 2. Pay $15 for 24 months. It doesn't say you the total amount you pay which is $360 if you choose the second option. Not only you are required to read the contract but in this case you are also required to calculate the net amount if you choose installment. So in short, I paid $55 extra for the antenna and a total of $355 (since I didn't know and used 2 months installment I paid $5 extra). I would advise anyone to make a one time payment and get $60 off which nobody will tell you. I hope this helps others. Also see if they'll allow you to use your own antenna. As far as internet service goes, some outages like an hour every 2 weeks. Speed is as promised. Equipment Lease or Purchase: 1 year lease to own - $29 per month =$348 (calculated value, not in agreement) 2 year lease to own - $15 per month =$360 (calculated value, not in agreement) One time purchase - $300.00 By default they sign you up for the 2 year lease and if you make the payment early you still owe the full difference like in my case which makes no sense because interest should be accrued daily, it's not a flat rate. Their billing is the worst of all the services I had availed in my life and wish I could give them no star! (Edit) I was called and given the credit, thank you for your understanding!

Before any installation work was completed, I canceled the appointment for that reason. When I contacted the company afterward, I requested a refund of my installation deposit since no service had been installed. Unfortunately, my request was denied. I understand companies have cancellation policies, but I was disappointed that there was no flexibility given that my decision was based solely on protecting my home from potential roof damage. I hope NMSurf will consider handling situations like this with more understanding and work with customers to reach a fair resolution.

Per those instructions, I called this Boost Store this morning and began conveying that I'd be coming by for the above reasons. A woman who did not give her name cut me off saying, "So that'll be between $12 and $35" for us to activate." I told her I'd been assured that since I'd already paid for my new Sim, this visit would be free. She grew MORE irritated and said, "Look, tech support ain't a store. We're a STORE." I said, well, I was told to come to your store, so when I get there, let's just call tech support together because I'm probably not explaining this right. We can sort it out that--" Before I could finish, she told me, "WE'RE A STORE! WE DON'T CALL TECH SUPPORT. THAT'S SOMETHING YOU DO." And then she hung up. She hung up. On a customer. After yelling at me for doing exactly what Boost Mobile Tech Support told me to do the night before. I see that there's a store manager who reads these comments on other review sites and replies to them. If you're serious about listening to these complaints, please reach out to me privately via email so we can have a productive chat about how that could have been better handled.     I used to be an AT&T customer but switched to Consumer Cellular to save dollars. When I tried to…read morereplace my wife's broken iPhone 13 with a similar unlocked iPhone 13, I ran into problems trying to activate it and complete the Apple setup. I spent hours on the phone with Consumer Cellular and Apple's AI agent, but could not resolve the issue. I researched the issues and tried the solutions suggested by various sources. In desperation, I decided to try the AT&T store. After giving my history to Brittney, she asked for my phone and 5 minutes later she had it running using a Walmart Simcard I had installed in my efforts to make things work. She reminded me I could now install Consumer Cellular's eSim. She charged me nothing, and sent me home with a complete successful resolution of my installation problem. My wife's phone now has her same number (plus a backup secondary number) and has been able to access just about everything she had originally except all her apps. Thank you Brittney and AT&T for the excellent response! I will have to reconsider AT&T again due to this amazing experience today.

    I decided it was time to move my parents from Verizon over to my AT&T plan, as they just can't get…read moredecent service in Santa Fe on that network, and Verizon's customer service sucks in the store. Walking into this location you will notice an immediate day and night difference from Verizon. There isn't a forty minute wait, and total chaos reigning, with rude employees. Here there were plenty of employees, and the store was clean and welcoming. I had already purchased new iPhone's for them in Arizona where I live, but needed help getting them set up and sorting out how to transfer their old Verizon phone number to their new AT&T phones. The people here were super patient and helped me get everything set up, and it was painless and took way less time than I thought it would. Typically I loathe going into a mobile phone store, as the experience usually is super frustrating and just a less than fun afternoon. I wouldn't say I now love the experience, but if I have to go into a cell store you can believe this one will be the first on my list. Thanks guys, I appreciate all the help.

I did some research ahead of time and settled on their $20/mo unlimited iPad plan that didn't require a phone line. I dropped in on a Friday afternoon and the place was a mess. Tons of angry people waiting and only two people on the floor. Unbelievable. After waiting for 20 mins I left for another appointment. I came back later in the afternoon to a similar situation. Lots of angry people waiting, almost no employees. I decided to just stomach it, added my name to the queue, and sat quietly at a table surfing the internet. I proceeded to wait for almost 1 1/2 hours. There were 3 workers there, but they would only put 2 on the floor at a time. Everyone was pissed. One lady had enough and left. Employees were taking absurd amounts of time with each customer, totally oblivious to other waiting guests. Finally my turn came up. I showed the clerk the $20/mo tablet plan I wanted, and he said "That's only if you have a phone with us. Without a phone it's $65." I explained to him that I had researched this plan and pulled up the T-Mobile website. There wasn't anything about needing a phone line. Not on the plan page, not in the fine print, not even in the PDF "terms of service". Nothing. When I asked him to show me where it says a phone line is necessary, he couldn't. He just kept barking "It's $65" at me over and over again like a robot, in an incredibly rude and snarky way. I was completely taken aback. I had been waiting for over 1 1/2 hours. I told him that I'd appreciate a little less attitude and he started screaming at me, and then said "I'm not serving you!" and moved to someone else. It truly amazes me that T-Mobile would allow a store like this under the brand. Given the amount of 1-star reviews here on Yelp, it's clear that I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience.

    I drove past this Best Buy a few times, then. dropped by, initially just to use the bathroom…read moreactually, funnily enough -- they are one of the stores that have one, a rarity nowadays, sadly, but I digress. And then I thought -- why don't I shop here? They seem like they care about their customers. I used to drive to the Apple Store down in ABQ for all my Apple needs but I decided to check things out here and -- I got new Airpods Pro Max -- was cheaper than anywhere else, still wear them, that was maybe 6 months ago. Then I got an iPad for my mom, also got me a great price -- they do price matching too so I got a great price on it. I got the Best Buy Plus membership and card and that saved me a bunch of money as they have cheaper rates for members and cash back so I think I already paid for the price of the membership like 12 years ahead. Then I was looking for a Macbook Pro -- an important purchase -- and Nick helped and was so gracious and helpful in helping me find exactly what I needed at a terrific price. It was the perfect machine and I really appreciated how much time and attention was given to me. Then I also got myself a pair of the new Airpods Pro 4 -- it was also really great because first I thought I didn't need the noise cancellation -- but then after buying I realized that the Airpods with no noise cancellation didn't have Transparency Mode either. And while I rarely use Noise Cancelation, I very much need Transparency! Went and exchanged it the next day -- no problem at all. And also as a Plus Member I get 60 days of returns so it feels good that I can try stuff out and return if it doesn't work out. Every employee I encounter was very helpful and kind. So, yeah I'm customer for life -- it feels good to be able to try things out and deal with pleasant and trustworthy people who are trying to help you -- I bought 4 things here -- and every one of them was an unimaginably good deal that I can't imagine getting anywhere else. And I guess it's in the name -- Best Buy so it all connects. I've had my eye on a new washing machine/dryer next, I know where I'll coming for that. And when my veteran 8 year old TCL TV dies -- which it will probably never do! =) But, yeah, I had a great experience here and with getting great authentic advice, quality products, easy returns, and GREAT prices -- this can't be beat. Plus it's really nice to deal with someone local.
