I took my dad's car to Scott for repair last week, and once again Scott did an amazing job! He took charge and talked to our insurance regularly while always keeping us updated. Pros: Scott: managed to fix the car with much less $$ than others Quoted me simply caz he figured out how to do less and have a decent result, I like this. Cons: he asked for more money than we agreed in the middle of the job for no clear reason. This is my new auto body shop! I ran over one of those rubber street cones and it knocked a panel lose on my car. I spent several minutes trying to get it back on without luck. Stopped by the dealer to see what they would suggest. First they said the whole bumper would need to be first taken off in order to get it back on correctly. Then they said the panel should be replaced because of a crack where it attaches to a bolt. I was not really sold on their ideas. I stopped by TNS Auto Body and with the both of us, we were able to get the panel back on in around five minutes. Yes, it was tight, but with four hands instead of just two, we were able to get it pushed back into position with an extra large replacement washer to compensate for the crack that is not visible from outside the car anyhow. Great service, honest, great value, very helpful. read more

Awesome shop and owner. I went in looking for an estimate for a tiny scuff mark on my bumper that was down to the metal. Since it's a truck I was more concerned about rust control rather then the cosmetics. He took one look at it and told me to pull it up to his shop. He then proceeded to buff out the spot, apply primer, and give me instructions on how to apply factory touch up paint. Best part was he didn't charge anything for something other shops would've charged $20-40 for. Real honest guy that I wouldnt hesitate taking my car to in the future for paint work. read more

Our car broke down today (on a Saturday at 11:30am). The Subaru dealership and the other Auto Body Shops wouldn't help us. I called T N S Auto Refinishing, and even though the gentleman who picked up was out, he said he would meet us at the shop in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, he met us, jacked the car up, fixed the problem in about 20 minutes, and then said it was NO CHARGE! We used to refer people to Scott at TNS for auto body work and paint. After what happened to the last people we referred to him we will never refer anyone to him again. We referred some friends to Scott at TNS to have their 240z painted and the rust repaired, because TNS claims to be a rust expert. The Z had rust at the bottom of both doors. To fix the rust and paint the car they charged our friends close to $12K, plus our friends still had to supply and pay for all parts, gaskets, seals, etc. to TNS as well, on top of that already extremely high price. Our friends were willing to pay the price knowing the rust would be fixed. Scott has no idea that we were the ones that referred our friends to him and just saw an older wealthy couple and completely took advantage of them. He also had no idea we would eventually end up with the car ourselves a couple of years later to see the shoddy work he did and find out about the exorbitant amount of money he charged them. The rust started coming back at the bottom of the doors within two years of TNS supposedly fixing the rust. I took the car to Scott at TNS to show him, he tried to say that it was fixed and that it was new rust already coming back. Then he figured out that he knew my husband and that we bought the car from our friends and he was really shocked that we are friends with the people that used to own the car and was even more shocked when he found out that my husband was the one that referred our friends to him, because he's known my husband for many years. He never thought anyone would find out about the shitty job he did on this car. He told me to have my husband call him so they could talk about it and work something out. My husband has called and text Scott multiple times. Scott will never call or text him back. We gave Scott every opportunity to make good and stand by his work. We didn't expect him to fix it for free, but to at least stand by his work and make it right. He has no integrity and if given the chance will rip you off and not do the job he says he's going to do. For the price that was paid, the rust should not be coming back within two years of being painted. We have another classic car that had rust in the doors. It was fixed and painted in 2002, and the rust is just now, in 2020, starting to bubble a small amount and come back. It took 18 years for the rust to come back. Scott at TNS painted the Z in 2015 and the rust started bubbling up within 2 years or less. We have had multiple auto body shops look at the work on the Z and they're appalled by both the price charged and the quality of the work. We have another shop working on the Z right now and fixing the doors properly. When they looked at the rust inside they could tell the rust was old and it was never even fixed. There was just a thin layer of bondo put right over the rust and then painted. The rust in the doors is the rust that was there before when Scott had it and supposedly fixed it. The rust has been in there 8-10 years. It is not new rust just showing up like Scott tried to tell me. The rust should've been cut out, rust treatment Por-15 put on to stop further rust, and new metal put in, and then painted. The rust wouldn't have come back so quickly if it was done right from the beginning. TNS are definitely not rust experts just a scam artist after your money. Buyer beware. The bid says that he would also paint under the hood, engine compartment, etc. None of this was ever done properly either. Under the hood looks like it was sprayed with a spray can. The engine compartment was never painted, you can still see three different colors of paint in other places on the car; Orange, turquoise and a dark blue. If the job was done right you wouldn't see all of the other layers of paint from over the years. There's also already cracks in the paint around the hood and back hatch. If you want a quality paint job for your car do not go to TNS. If you don't care if they cut corners, don't fix the rust, and charge you a grip load of money, then TNS and Scott are who you're looking for. Fixing scratches and dents are one thing, easy to do and fix, but claiming to be a rust expert is completely different. If you aren't going to do it correctly or really even do it at all then don't claim to be a rust expert and mislead people. You don't fix rust by covering it with bondo! What a joke! read more

I went to TnS to get an estimate on painting my car, the owner Scott was very nice and professional he gave me the estimate which is a reasonable price. After he gave me the estimate he also offered to polish up my very dull head lights so I could see driving down the road for only 35 dollars, he did such a good in only 20 minutes while I waited. Bent cars are never fun to deal with. And the estimates are always shocking ... but that's not my experience at TNS. I got bumped the other day while waiting for a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The damage didn't look terrible, but the bumper/fender was bent and loose and there were some pretty hefty scratches. The back of my mind said, well, there's fifteen hundred bucks down the tubes. Not the case. Scott figured out how to repair the loose bumper, which was in fact, broken and work out the dings, scrapes and paint from the other car for less than a date with my wife. And he did it all while I waited. Scott is head and shoulders above the competition when it comes to service, price and speed. read more

I brought in my '07 Metallic green Prius to repair a large dent across both driver side doors. Scott's price quote was extremely reasonable and the quality of his work was perfect. It looked brand new when he was done! But what really earned my 5-star review is the personal care and responsibility Scott demonstrated when I lost my keys. See what happened was, I foolishly drove off the lot thinking my electronic keys were in the car, not realizing they were left "on" the car. When I got to my destination, realizing my keys were missing on the road somewhere, I called Scott and he immediately began searching the roads with me. We couldn't find it, but he went out again the next day, on his own, and miraculously found the key a mile away from his shop near a gutter. This is true dedication to his clients! I wanted my van to look gorgeous again. The excellent Yelp reviews for T N S made this local business sound like the kind of place I wanted to patronize. And that turned out to be correct. Scott was unable to get my van in as soon as I wanted but I figured that's natural with an outfit that does great work. He scheduled me early the next week and took only three days. Scott is a perfectionist MAs attention to the most important details. He strives to do excellent work and will often go far above and beyond what would normally be expected. Scott has worked on my Lexus. My friend's dog jumped up on my car and scratched it all the way down the door. This car did not have a scratch on it before this and I was really upset. Scott was able to remove any evidence of the scratching. He got my car in right away and finished quickly. I have come back to him multiple times on several different issues. He was always able to steer me in the right direction. Most recently my cell phone was stuck under my navigation screen and he took personal time out of his day to help me get it out.
