This is the Best Place anywhere in Ventura, In my opinion for autobody work! Unfortunately, I needed their service a second time, for damage on my car. But... I am so glad that they are here to serve the local community. When I went in for the initial appraisal, I was met and helped by Eric and Ashley. Eric went over all of the damage and related needs as well as listened and paid attention to my needs and concerns. I was able to drop the car off a few days later after contacting the related insurance agency. The work was done MUCH FASTER than I anticipated , it took about a week to get my car completed and back. These guys don't scrimp on anything and the entire job is a top quality repair, from front to back! The car looks better than before I dropped it off, I am still nothing but amazed at the quality of their work. This is my second review for Ventura Collision Center, and once again there is everything to praise about their service and professional expertise. From my initial call with Nick LaGrotta to working with Eric Chandler, I was pleasantly surprised at how they tackled what I feared would be an expensive and time involved repair. To explain further, the inside, driver's side handle that I need to open the door had snapped off completely so I couldn't open my door from the inside. It's a 2006 Acura MDX so needless to say it would be very hard to find a new, manufacturer replacement part. Undeterred, Eric called around and found a replacement part that looked brand new even though it came from an older car taken apart for its parts. This ended up being a huge cost savings as well - manufactured new would have been about $400. The part Eric found was $50. Also, they set me up with a temporary fix while they got the part so I could open my car from the inside without having to roll down the window to open it from the outside (yikes!). Who knew that what I feared would be a costly and time consuming fix, ended up taking less than 30 minutes total to address, and cost me less than $150 (including the initial inspection to determine what was the problem). I wasn't referred by an insurance company this time, but, came with it being covered out of my own pocket, because 6 years earlier I had been so impressed by this place. I'm happy to say nothing has changed over time. From the minute I walked through the door everyone was so friendly and I was able to have them come out look at my car and write up and estimate. I had a mostly-superficial dent on the corner of my bumper, it's an old car and I didn't want to spend a ton of money fixing it, I just wanted it to look better. Every other body shop said it needed a new bumper, $2k. Nick was the only one who listened to what I wanted and straightened the bumper as much as possible. It looks great, for 1/10th the cost. I had a small accident and thought it was going to cost a lot of money. Brought my car in for inspection and Nick told to wait a minute. Nick came back with rag and solvent and removed 3/4 of the damage and told me to cancel my claim since the minor damage left would only be $85. Nick really helped me navigate a bad situation. I was hit and ran on the freeway by an uninsured motorist. Was a nightmare with my insurance. Nick really helped me navigate the different ways of getting my truck fixed (even though thats not his job!) He gave me a very thorough appraisal and even spoke to the adjustors appraisal to show him all the things he missed. Once we had the green light, he was very upfront about the process and timing with parts delays being what they are. Once the parts were in, the 11 days quoted for the jib turned into only 10 and he got my truck back to me on a Friday. Under time and exactly on the budget. Nick and the rest of the staff were personable and professional, quick to call back and delivered as promised. We were leaving for a family trip and I needed the car done by a certain date. Great work all around. I took my Ford Transit in to get the passenger door adjusted. The door hyper extended in the wind so it was out of alignment and not always shutting. Nick took great care of me: he had the van scheduled in for the next morning and it was done by early afternoon. The door now works great and they fixed a small dent in the fender at no charge.
