I have never had any issues with my food, I have been very happy with Shanora, the female manager from her previous engagement at CJ seafood on Lockwood,, and the tall well spoken gentleman all of which are always the very best at assisting and being pleasant.... However, they have hired some new help from someone named CJ who was rude, inconsiderate, and just a entire mess.. I called my order in and realized that the young lady had a hard time understanding the order ; which was a medium catfish, no skin, extra seasoning, fried hard, jumbo shrimp out of the fish casing, an additional salad and extra salad dressing on the side... I asked to speak to the tall gentleman. I never get his name and she was offended, so I went ahead and ordered with her and finding myself in a case of what I ordered, and what I received, which was: fried fish ", dry salads, and hard shrimp I live in Spring Texas and they wanted me to return the food today in order for them to fix my order so I'm supposed to drive 45 minutes across town for you to fix my order and be rude to me and lose money all in the same day.. Lucky for me I am associated with the right people and will use that to my advantage. CJ, my young friend, you will learn of a little lady named karma and she will teach you to humble yourself and that everyone is not your enemy and also you're not the only one with the day! To the owners, just hiring, anyone will cost you business. I have no problem with losing that $40 but you should because I'm a loyal customer and I want you to know I will take my money somewhere that considers me as a person with respect and integrity. So if you happen to just roll into this place, be sure to order with the well spoken tall gentleman, or the cute little lady of management, the rest of the staff is trash... This restaurant is legendary in the hood. They have been around for years and years. I've ordered food twice within two weeks both times the food was fresh and delicious. I ordered a pound of jumbo shrimp and had them fry it, it was slamming it comes with salad and fries. If you don't like orange dressing on your salad be sure to tell them no dressing. I came from Los Angeles to see my dad and he recommended this place. I asked him if they accepted call in orders and he said "if you can get them to answer". Not only did that answer quickly, the gentleman taking my order was a complete character, he had me laughing from the time he answered until we hung up. The food is great here. It may not look like all that on the outside or inside but the chefs are great. I live in Jersey Village and I still come way out here to get fresh seafood. The wait time can be a little long if you dont call in your order ahead; the Shrimp were fresh with a great seasoning and the rice was just as good to top it off.
