I want to thank Dr. Shin and his staff for taking excellent care of my 96 year old mother during her first visit to Arrowhead Creekside Dental. My Mom can be stubborn so even though she was unhappy with her previous dentist was reluctant to try someone new. I researched several dentist in her area and based on the reviews, I convinced her to try Arrowhead Creekside Dental. They did not disappoint. Dr. Shin and staff were so kind and considerate - they made sure she was comfortable while taking X rays, the hygienist was super gentle cleaning/polishing her teeth and Dr. Shin was so friendly during his examination that she forgot to be nervous! I get a little nervous when visiting a new dental office. I was really impressed how flexible it was to schedule an appointment. I didn't have to wait at least 2 weeks just for a basic teeth cleaning. The entire team created welcoming experience scheduling, front, and the back end. Caitlynn was fantastic! She was one of best Dental Hygienist I had for a long time. She took her time doing the teeth cleaning, explaining the procedures and each tool used step by step during the exam. She introduced each staff as they walked in. They used latest dental techs to conduct a thorough checkup. It was a memorable first visit, and many more returns too. read more

I called on a Thursday with a dental emergency and set my appointment for the following week. They called me back same day and gave me a cancellation appointment so I could be seen next day. The staff was professional and friendly. They made me feel super comfortable and the bedside manner of the tech and Dr. Shin are top notch. They preformed a root canal on my lower back tooth which is considered a difficult spot, but they efficiently treated me in a short amount of time. I feel sorry for dental offices because so many people dislike dental work. It's a thankless profession to a degree. I mean, EVERYONE needs to take care of their teeth, but so few people really look forward to a visit, you know? So here is a loooong review. OUR NEW DENTIST: Dr. Shin and his staff are a rare find. The office is slightly tucked off to the side of one of the medical buildings in the Arrowhead Creekside Plaza--next to another dental office. Look for the little clock tower and the office is on the left side of the building if you are facing it from the parking lot. I cracked a molar the night before starting a great new job, and I chose Dr. Shen in a panic after reading as many dental reviews as I could find and asking all my friends. They saw me as a new patient immediately and placed temporary crowns. When I accidentally knocked one off a week later, they squeezed me in quickly to fix it. The permanent crowns are on now, and here is the most shocking thing: IT DOESN'T HURT AT ALL. And my mouth and bite feel NORMAL AGAIN. My entire jaw doesn't feel crooked any longer. Holy cow. I mean, seriously??? I haven't taken a single Advil. My head doesn't hurt. I can actually sleep comfortably. I thought it was a fluke after they did the temporary crown a few weeks ago, and it was a little tingly when he was numbing the areas, but it feels totally fine. I keep tapping it to see if it's still numb, but I feel everything just fine. I mean, I just had pizza for lunch. Yum! From Doda's Pizza--see that review.) Nice crispy crust and all. The other thing is, the new teeth look good, like teeth. My crowns from last year look like big flat plastic computer key tabs in comparison. I bet he does some really great cosmetic work as well. Dr. Shin also makes use of some pretty cool tech stuff. He also takes the time to explain everything and the alternatives for your care, then gives you time to decide what to do. There is no hard sale/up sale. People, it's dentistry. Plumbing, electric, car stuff--it all costs money. It's not going to be free. I was pleasantly surprised at what my dental work cost. I found it to be very fair in pricing. Also, he's a nice guy--very personable, and his office peeps are really nice. He also has sedation available if you are nervous like me, but I didn't need it the second visit after the numbing injections. This is not a super fancy spa dentistry office. You will not be paying for the cost of new marble fixtures and lux massage chairs. You WILL receive excellent care from a professional, kind, and ethical doctor of dentistry and his nice staff at a reasonable and fair cost in a clean and pleasant office. You also won't wait 3 months for an appt. BEFORE WE FOUND DR.SHIN: I've had sensitive teeth for as long as I can remember, and dental work fills me with dread and anxiety. I recently had such a horrible experience with a previous dentist that I hadn't been in for even a cleaning in over 7 months. I just kept putting it off--until my tooth cracked all the way down to the gumline! My previous dentist could not get some crowns in correctly and they ached horribly for over 3 months. My husband and a coworker also had the same horrible experience. They also had this awful habit of hounding you about a treatment plan every visit. They kept insisting I had to "maximize" all my benefits each year and would call frequently to tell me "how much beneft dollars" I had left and, how these should really be done prior to December. My husband and I spent over $6500 out of pocket after insurance in a year, and were told we'd need roughly $7000 more of work before the $5000+ for future Invisalign. We had roughly 2 crowns each and some fillings.We didn't like going to the dentist--but we were good about annual exams and cleanings every 3-4 months-so we weren't disasters when they saw us. They could not get my bite correct and it left my whole mouth crooked for almost a year! Thanks you so much, Dr. Shin and staff. We're so pleased to have found our new dental office! read more

Ever since moving to Arizona from LA, Dr. Shin and his amazing team have been my team of dental needs. First off, I would just like to say how much they go above and beyond for their patients in every shape and form. They are the BEST group of people I've worked with. I found this office on yelp because of their amazing reviews and I had a dental emergency. I called the office and right away was greeted and taken in the same day i called. I was seen by Dr. Shin and he is seriously the nicest dentist I've ever met. Very outgoing and keeps the conversation going instead of making things so awkward. He took care of me and knew just what i needed. All in all I had 4 wisdom teeth taken out and some root canal work and the process went so smooth and made things very easy for me in terms of point of contact when I had a question about something. They will treat you like family. They know me by name and every time I walk in it's like they are so happy to see me!! Makes it very comfortable for the patient; you forget your in a dental office. I just want to take the time and write this review because truly they deserve the recognition for being so awesome to their patients and taking the time that's necessary to make everyone feel so comfortable. I received the most comprehensive and thorough exam ever. Update: I have had many appointments with Dr Shin throughout the year. Dr Shin and his staffs commitment to excellence has been unwavering. Dr. Shen is great it's the woman at the front desk that tries to get your money that I have a problem with, I was in pain I have dental insurance but they wouldn't let me see anyone until I gave them some money. I found this dentist on Groupon and decided to try it out. I have been here for a few cleanings and some filling replacements. The staff has always been exceptionally friendly, and I feel like I can trust the dentists and their staff. I have not been pressured to purchase anything not covered under my dental insurance. I really love this place. I feel like everyone in the office goes above & beyond. When you walk in your greeted warmly. The women in the front office are very nice & work well together. I never have to wait hours to be seen. Im having some gum issues. I have been back for a couple appointments. Dr. Shin is like a dental warrior..lol! I've been visiting Dr. Rogers office for over 15 years now and I live about 45 minutes away from where they are located. I have attempted to visit other dentists near my home but none of those offices have been able to make me feel comfortable with the work done as well as confident that I'm getting the best pricing. I was referred to Dr.Shin this past week in Dr. Rogers office for some cavity work along with my first Crown filling. I was very nervous but Dr. Shin and his staff made me comfortable and calm during the long procedure that I was fully pleased with the outcome. My teeth look beautiful and I couldn't be any more pleased! I'll drive the extra time it takes to go to this office because the service and treatment I receive is worth every minute of my time.
