For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. They removed old, water-stained paver bricks from…read moreour front entry atrium and replaced them with new pavers, seamlessly tying into existing brickwork for a superb look. Another project we had was to remedy an efflorescence-stained faux rock wall resulting from an ill-designed waterfall feature put in by the previous owner of the house in the front entry atrium. Otelio, the Veliz Masonry owner, contacted the manufacturer of the faux rock wall and discovered a staining method that could be used to bring back the original colors and luster of the damaged wall (see photos). They did an absolutely wonderful job of restoring the wall to its original beauty and we couldn't be happier with the results, which exceeded our highest expectations. Finally we had Veliz remove about 120 lineal feet of loose or damaged brick capstone off of retaining walls in our back yard and replace them with a high end Sonorastone flat wall cap (see photo). Again, Otelio and crew did a masterful job of installation to greatly enhance the beauty of our backyard. Otelio, his sons Manny and Diego, and his brother Gerry, were the crew who did all of the work.
