As a first timer to T-Shotz, getting setup in a bay was straight forward and simple with the help of the friendliest hostess. I was guided to bay 210 where lovely Gabbie was ready to serve me. Her drink recommendation of the Ecuadorian Sunset was spot on. Thank you Gabbie for helping me. T-Shotz top open ball bin and lower ball feeder allows for getting balls from the top to tee up a shot or balls can be positioned from the lower feeder. I like the design. Love love love this place! Perfect activity for our family that came into town. It was even raining and we still had a lot of fun with it. The patios are covered and they had big fans running down it wasn't too muggy! They even have game modes you can change! We did the longest range hit, and regular hitting in the circles! Service was great, our waiter stopped by frequently and even reminded us our time was about to run out. I did have a mule and was not a big fan of it honestly, not sure if it was the ginger beer or not. I also ordered the fried pickles which to my surprise had very little breading but honestly were so good with the buttermilk ranch! We all shared the chicken fried bites which were mouth watering!! First time trying this. We had a great time though the machines are a little off on accuracy and sometimes detecting the ball. Our server Natalie was really awesome. First time at TShotz, the concept is the exact same as Top Golf. You pay by the hour for an up to 8 person alley. If you're new, you have to pay for a 5$ membership fee per player. The next time you come back, you won't have to pay it again. It is 54$ an hour per alley.... I ordered a grilled chicken Cesar salad with no croutons. I got a grilled chicken Cesar salad with crutons. I have a gluten allergy, ha! The salad was fine, portion was a decent size, it was 16$ for this portion. We had four people in our group playing so it ended up being about 13.5$ a person for an hour of play. A bit expensive... you really need to get as many people as you can in the 8 person bay to get your moneys worth. Service was poor. It wasn't busy today, yet we had to look for our waitress for drink refills and to order food. read more

My family visited T-Shotz recently. My customer experience did not meet my expectations. The wait staff was slow and unattentive. We arrived shortly before shift change and that was communicated. Understood. However when our new server arrived we just asked for 2 pitchers of water, that never came as she was working another party. I had to ask the bartender to assist. When our order was finally taken that took a long time to receive as well. When we checked on our food the server was at the bar, tending to those costumers. She also never brought the drinks for the children. When I found a manager and expressed my concerns he was just as bad as his staff. No explanation. I even inquired whether there was a staff shortage etc. Asking what can he do?? In my opinion YOU ARE THE MANAGER, take the initiative and read the situation. Best Monday Happy Hour in KC? Probably. Wowee. What a deal! For about $125, you can have a blast, enjoy your afternoon, and tip the hell out of your server. We liked seeing so many families and parents working with their kids, perfecting their swings. We teed off at T-Shotz early in the afternoon, jumping into some margaritas (warm day), wings, and Detroit style pizzas. We're from MI, so we love a place outside "the D" that takes a swing [wink] at honoring Buddy's. While you're indulging, you can select a few different game modes in your bay. We ran through them all in about two hours and enjoyed some trash talking (with each other). We'd REALLY like to compliment T-Shotz on their simple layout, staff attitude, and overall fun atmosphere. The bays still feel private even though there are people ten feet away from you. Because it was our first time, the staff walked us through the floor layout, games, and specials. Service was just attentive enough and we were rarely waiting for more than 5 minutes. We look forward to our next T-Shotz Happy Hour, margaritas, and (god willing) straight drives. read more

We had Sydney who has helped us from checking us in to a bay, explaining the rules and let us know all the games that is recommended for beginners. The staff is quick to help get you started if you've never been, if you have, then you just jump right in! For dinner, we ordered the wings to start with. They were crispy just like the menu said! We also got a salad-with the food ranch (iykyk) I ordered the calamari for dinner which was tasty. A little oily tbh. I love that they fry banana peppers with them though. We were looking for something to do outdoors on an otherwise warm but very windy fall evening on a Thursday night. We decided on T-Shotz. I've been to "the other place" several times, so I had an idea of what to expect. We were able to quickly get a bay. The new member sign in process is a little cumbersome, but once that was taken care of, we were able to get our games started. The first thing I noticed was that our tee box was a bit sus. The turf around the tee was ripped and the tee itself wouldn't stay upright... as in it kept falling over every time a ball was placed on it. Thankfully, an attendant finally noticed and changed it out. The game menu is basically a knock off of Top Golf's, but I can't quite understand the scoring. I'm certainly no professional (or even amateur) golfer, but the game kept awarding points for balls which were either hit completely off and into the net or into the "water" or "sand trap" areas. For example, someone in our group drove one 200+ yards and got no points (even though it landed in/near a colored target) and another person hit one into the net with the ball finally landing in the "water" and was awarded points. It's quite confusing and would have been annoying if we were actually trying to be competitive. The service here was pretty slow, but we were able to get a couple of drinks and an appetizer. The food is pretty much standard bar food and lacking any sort of pizzaz. It's also pretty greasy. In summation, I would only recommend T-Shotz if you don't want to deal with the crowds at Top Golf and if you don't really care what your score is. They do have different specials during the week as well. I'll probably give it another try at some point, but it definitely won't be on the top of my list for an outdoor activity. read more

We paid $15 for a "reservation" and half our party arrived 15 minutes early to check in. The rest arrived right on time.... and we still waited 25 minutes for our bay. It turns out the fee they charge for a "reservation" is really not a reservation at all, but puts you at the front of the line for anyone else who might walk in around the same time you arrive. Non-refundable, doesn't apply to your bay fee. While we were playing, we ordered some drinks and appetizers. At one point the waitress spilled a half full beer all over our infant's car seat. We had 8 people in the bay and managed not to spill anything.... so to say we were a bit upset was an understatement. We were offered a wet dish rag to wipe it up with, but that was all. Still charged full price for everything. We got the 3-dip entree and asked for some extra chips and cheese dip and were charged for a full 3-dip entree a second time. If you're going to charge full price, at least bring the full dish out again, or tell me "we can't do partial orders" or something. $12 for 1/3 of the dish isn't reasonable. The heater in our bay also kept going out. These are just portable propane heaters on wheels like you'd buy at Home Depot. After relighting it a couple dozen times, we finally asked for a manager to swap them out. They couldn't because they made the portable heaters non-portable by chaining them down. Really? Who's going to steal these things? They're 8 feet tall! Overall, not a great experience. I don't know if we'll be back for a second, or just go to Top Golf instead. My wife's been there and commented that they seemed to have it "more together" than T-Shotz. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at T-Shotz. We were fortunate to walk in on a Friday evening and did not have to wait for a bay. Upon entering, they do a temperature check, and masks are required in all the common areas. Staff wears masks at all times. Once you are in your private bay, you do have the option to remove your mask (you'll need it off to eat and drink). The bays are outdoors, but the space heaters kept the area warm, and a clear plexiglass screen plus plenty of space separates you from the neighboring bays. We found the staff to be extremely pleasant and the menu was well-rounded. We ended up ordering several different appetizers, and they were all great. I'd say the excellent menu was one of the more surprising aspects of our visit! Drinks, too, were top notch. They were tasty and well-crafted (which took some of the sting out of their price tag!). We had crispy chicken wings (they were crispy, as advertised, and the Thai street sauce was delicious), Ginger Pork pot stickers, Spicy firecracker shrimp, Spinach Artichoke dip, and Chargrilled KC strip. Despite never having done any more golfing than putt-putt, I still found it easy enough to figure out and pick games that met my skill level (or lack thereof!). My only complaint is the metal chairs... they definitely do not hold any heat and are hard to warm up even when sitting in them for extended periods of time. (It should be noted that some bays have a tall table with chairs and some have a low table with cushioned couches). However you can simply bring an extra sweatshirt to sit on and remedy this, if you know ahead of time. Overall, great experience. read more

No wait times, but poor service made for a just ok experience. We tried something new since we always do Top Golf. This was no comparison and no positive energy unfortunately. We found out that the moment you are taken to your bay your "time" begins according to our waitress. We hadn't even signed in, but that was her thought. We then decided to try to order drinks. No waitress came for 20 minutes so I ordered on my own. As you can see it's hard to see the drink pictures. As for the game time the choices are limited, but are ok. They are mainly games revolving around longest shots or getting in the circle shapes. Anyways, I hope service becomes existent here and game play basics training is done and/or created for employees. This was my first time here and it will be my last. They've basically stolen top golf's concept, but I assure you it doesn't compare. We had a reservation for 8:00. We arrived at 7:50 and were told it would be about 8 minutes till someone came and got us. At 8:14, we were still standing and waiting. Finally, at 8:20 we were taken to a bay. The hostess showed us that we all needed to sign in on their computer system and that there is a $5 charge for each person to do so. That's on top of the $47/hr for the bay. Once signed in, we weren't really sure how to set up play and the hostess had already walked away. She finally came back about 10 minutes late and reset the computer to what we wanted. Once we started, we had a very difficult time hitting due to the condition of the artificial grass. It was extremely curled up on all 4 corners which caused the ball to pop up off it, and it the clubs kept hitting it. The tees kept popping out of the turf. This was definitely not worth $72 that we paid. It was very disappointing. This place will be out of business if they don't keep it in good shape. We told a server and she had us sit in another bay but it was not throughly cleaned. The game itself is a bit annoying, not consistent, some balls track your swing others don't seem to pick up anything. We love this spot because of the location and the arcade but it is not kept up well. As someone else mentioned, the accuracy is pretty bad, the arcade is usually mostly broken down, and our food or drink always has an issue. The staff is always very kind and tries to make things right. Although we haven't taken advantages of them yet, they seem to have good specials and promos. We wanted a family outing and noticed T-Shotz advertised at the Maverick's game so I went online and reserved a bay. Reservations are not required, but highly suggested. There's a $15 reservation fee that does NOT count towards anything. It's a flat $15 just to RSVP a bay. Upon arrival at 1pm on Sunday they were not that busy, so the $15 was a bit of a waste. We could have walked in and claimed a bay at no charge. Similar to top golf, there a one time $5 player registration fee. This place is truly Top golf with a different name. Very similar setup and similar golf games. It's $35 an hour which isn't too bad. One thing that sucked was the ball tracking technology didn't always track our balls. It didn't recognize that we had hit them probably 20% of the time which was frustrating. We ordered $15 bottomless mimosas, but the waitress failed to mention it ended at 2pm (we didn't order until 1:20). They were actually pretty good. We ordered a pub pretzel and loaded fries. The pretzel was generously sized and really good. I'm not one that normally complains, but the fires came out cold. I told the waitress and she agreed we they were indeed cold and remade fresh ones. They were good. All in all, we had a good time. I hope the software kinks with the ball tracking get worked out soon. read more

Let's talk about a place called T-Shotz and a beer by the name of Yuengling. T-Shotz is a golf driving range/sports bar/game room/oyster bar, that is located just north of the old Metro North Shopping center. As you dive up to it you can't help but be impressed by its size. There is ample parking in the lot and as you walk in there us a huge wall of windows letting in the western sun. The bar its self sits of to the left side of the entrance, and as you enter it the size of the space is huge with very high ceilings. When I walked in last night, the room was about 80% full of happy, laughing people and the noise level was a bit high. I made my way to the bar, sitting so I was facing west into that bank of brightly lit windows, when the bar keep came over and asked me what I was drinking. "Y'all got any of that new beer everyone's talking about?" 'Yep" was the answer as she handed me a menu! It was 17:10 hours when I arrived, and the setting sun was just hitting those windows. I had never heard of this beer until a few weeks ago. Their web page describes this as a beer that rich amber color and medium-bodied flavor, with roasted caramel malt for a subtle sweetness and a combination of cluster and cascade hops. The bottom line is, it is smooth, mild and a very easy and enjoyable beer to drink. You've heard the old saying that you eat with your eyes first, the same saying goes with taking a drink to. When she walked over with the beer and set it in front of me I was astounded by the deep, rich, amber color. I was even more astounded by that change of color when I got out my phone and started taking a picture of it. When it was set on the counter all I could see was a deep dark amber, look at the clarity, and the image details the that camera caught and look at what the light from the window does to change that color. The food here for the most part is a standard bar grub food that is really good. I have been here twice and both times I had good food. Tonight I went with their version of a French Dip and fries. The food is good, altho the portions seemed small, but maybe because of Restaurant week/Happy hour ordering. We got cocktails both times and they were solidly good. Management needs to step up and train their employees and set some standards. A simple hello and goodbye as you're entering and leaving the complex goes a long way. Came for a Birthday Party and Although we had a great time I felt extremely sadden for our server. She was obviously overwhelmed and needed help we were a large party and took up 4 docks. She not only had us but other docks as well. At one point she was crying because she was overwhelmed and she spilled on her shirt. The food was good. I also ordered the Tshots Tea and it was amazing!! Like omg it was a great drink! They have managed to create separation barriers in between docks which is comforting. It was my first time and I will say it is a full body workout! My biggest complaint is that sometimes the sensor doesn't read that the ball has been hit, which makes for more swings and a greater workout. LOL It was great time! The reason I went to T Shotz is because I live closer than Top Golf and I'll never sacrifice distance for fun again. We booked online ($27.43) and we showed up, booth was ready but it wasn't packed so didn't need a reservation as they only had 1 level open instead of 3. There goes $27 that SHOULD go towards bill. Then of course, the infamous $5 membership fee. Why do we need this? Oh yeah, another tactic for them to leach money out of you. Heaters weren't sufficient, the balls don't spit out automatically and just wasn't comparable to Top Golf. Top Shotz is more expensive for less fun. $130 for 1 hour and 2 drinks. Nothing else was bought. I'll never go again. They won't last long. I just talked to the manager and he also sounded bummed that Top Shotz leaches money out of its costumers. Sad. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with my SO and 3 other couples. We decided to just share one bay for golf. You each have to have an account to play and the account is $5 to get. The lady who helped us set up our accounts was very nice and helpful. Our server was fine. He wasn't overly attentive and for the most part was available and didn't take long to bring drinks/food. The couches in the bay are very low to the ground and not very comfortable. We were placed in a bay second to last and it was hard for our strokes to register with the cameras so at times our turn listed like 50 swings. I think they need more cameras or upgraded technology. We ordered the trio dip, crispy calamari, loaded hand cut cheese fries, chicken nachos, and prime rib French dip. I thought the cheese dip was really good. The guacamole didn't have much flavor, neither did the fries or the prime rib which I didn't try. I didn't have the nachos either but they looked good but wasn't a whole lot. Mostly everyone in our party was disappointed with the food but their menu looks good and I would give them another chance and at least eat here again.
