Had a great experience here (even though they were clearly short staffed.) the manager, manda helped me book party with just a few days notice. I was kinda worried there wouldn't be enough seating since they had another big party and an event going on, but she had actually prepared two seating options for us. Our server had tables across multiple rooms but still did her best to take care of everything. We could get drinks from the bar but during shuffleboard it was really nice that manda was checking on us and she was even bringing our drinks to us so we didn't have to pause the game. Facility is closed with not a soul to be seen! I had noon reservation for a shuffleboard table on Friday, July 17th. There had been no communication with me even though I had signed up for text alerts. Several other groups showed up stating they also had reservations. we went on a Saturday around dinner time and were expecting it to be air-conditioned, but they had the garage doors open, and it was uncomfortably hot inside. The shuffleboard itself is great and there's plenty of lanes. I got a hot honey pepperoni flatbread, which was pretty average and a cocktail that was fairly sweet. This is a great addition to the West Bottoms area. Open only 15 weeks, some things are still needing installation ( dart boards). They have a great patio which will be awesome come spring. Inside they have 6 shuffleboard lanes, A small arcade and a large seating area with full bar. I was pleased that the menu had a nice variety of options. We chose the kicking chicken pesto flatbread, sweet Thai shrimp tacos and loaded chips. All portions were generous and tasty. We played shuffleboard for an hour and half and had a blast! We will definitely come back. We spoke with the owner and he told us about upcoming dart and shuffleboard leagues. He also pointed out the use of reclaimed wood from the Abernathy building. Our book club met at Lark's and had the best time! We started with drinks at the bar, and they have a great selection including some awesome nonalcoholic options. Then we moved to the private space for our meeting. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I really like the large space here in the west bottoms. It offers ample space to get a large crowd going and has lots of different entertainment spots for darts, shuffle board, an arcade, a bar, and dining area. Unfortunately we only had one person working during their specials and happy hour which made service slow. Otherwise the food was fair and the prices were also fair. Two co-workers and I stopped in at 9pm on a First Friday evening, and there was only 4 customers there when we arrived. With it being in such a large space and a large outdoor patio, the space seemed even more barren than it was. Hopefully the word gets out, because it offers a lot of options... food menu, full bar with large cocktail and mocktail options, shuffleboard courts indoors and outside, table shuffleboard, cornhole, a patio with fire pits, table games and a few arcade games with some good music being pumped out at an acceptable volume. We started with 3 mocktails, i had the Chamoy Chiller. A copper cup with a chamoy rim and filled with pineapple and lime juice, aloe water and agave - tart and refreshing. I ordered the pepperoni hot honey flatbread for my entree. A wonderful flavor but the crust edges were very tough. My friends had a quesadilla and a standard burger that they had no complaints with. We paid $5 for access to the tabletop shuffleboard and played a few rounds while waiting for our food and then again after dinner. Our server was efficient and pleasant - she should have been with the lack of customers. It's a bit pricey but what isn't. Co-workers and I are already planning another afterwork evening for food and games. Not a food destination, but a decent selection for a "bar food" menu, and certainly fills a gap for adult groups to have a drinks and activities. I would expect the patio to be hopping by next spring on weekend nights. read more

Great experience for family and friends! The staff was extremely welcoming to our group (6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 1-10) . We were nervous the kids may get bored but they LOVED shuffleboard and the fact that there were other options - connect 4, corn hole, and the arcade - the kids were in heaven. The food takes bar food to the next level - our favorites were the hot pepperoni pizza, the Thai chili shrimp, and the buffalo Quesadilla. We finally got to taste the Kelce's Garage Beer! It was very light and refreshing- sort of similar to a Coors light but better quality. The mocktails were also delicious - highly recommend the blueberry lemonade. It was so refreshing. Lastly the staff made our visit! Kennedy was amazing behind the bar and Spencer was outstanding helping to get us set up with the shuffleboard, games, and always making sure we had yummy food and drinks. I can't wait to see what else they bring to the bar as you can tell everyone is invested and they are adding new features all the time - fire pit, outside lanes, more TVs and I was told darts are coming soon! It's been three days since the grand opening. The place is really nice and spacious. Perfect for large groups. Great location in West-bottoms KC. Staff were very friendly. Only a few customers tonight. Great beer and drinks selection. The menu has lots of options which were exciting. However, when it comes to taste, not impressed. We had the cheese curds which were ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. They have different types of quesadillas and the one we chose was the Birria quesadilla. We were very disappointed as this was basically brisket bbq in a quesadilla (not birria). What made it even worse, the consume was like beef broth, not real consume (juice of the slow cooked meet). The meat was Extremely salty. For KC, the place will be a kit if the add other outdoor games other than shuffleboard and revisit the menu. So far, great for drinks. read more

Great flavors. Well staffed. Still training to be finalized. Not having been to a shuffleboard bar before, we were very excited for this establishment to open in KC. There are 6 lanes inside and another 4 outside where people can play shuffleboard, along with a small arcade room in the back. Their food menu looks decently diverse with some fun spins on certain foods, like several unique quesadilla options. While only 4 were offered this evening, we tried the Buffalo chicken variant and it did not disappoint but wasn't anything to brag about either. The pepperoni flatbread had a lot more flavor and seemed equally filling, we just wish it was baked more thoroughly as we thought ours was a bit doughy (we saw another one later in the night and it looked baked better, so this may have been a one-off issue). We tried a few of their cocktails and mocktails and all were very tasty. A peak online at their full menu revealed that cocktail prices resemble a more expensive city, not what we are used to in KC. I can't forget to talk about our appetizers, which consider off the brisket loaded fries (more like potato wedges - yum!) and pretzel. Both items were super tasty but I wish the pretzel would come with a beer cheese or queso instead of only mustard (the honey mustard chosen was very good tho). While finishing touches are still being put on in the coming days, they already have 3 TVs up at the bar for catching sporting events, but finishing touches are still needed by some of the staff. There was some confusion with how an item was served vs how it was printed on the menu and one appetizer was forgotten until we reminded them. With a full house of staff, we can tell they are making an effort and we can't wait to see if this place will end up looking as great as their location in Texas, or even better! read more

Saw this place and had to come check it out! I'm not a pro shuffleboarder at all, but I was excited to come here. Went on a cloudy Sunday afternoon and was able to get parking right by the door. We were greeted by Jay, who explained the prices for the shuffleboard, got us to our table, provided menus, brought water quickly, and explained the rules of shuffleboard to us. This was so fun! There were only 2 of us, so I bet in a group it would've been even more fun! They have a few tvs on the walls, so we were able to watch the nfl games too. We ordered the classic burger and the sliders. The burger was ok. The meat on the sliders was very tiny and cooked so much it was like Jerky. The fries were lukewarm, and I wasn't a fan of the chips but was told they are great when loaded. I had the puck puck punch and it was delicious but a lot of ice, I had 2 of them. The patio area is big, and if it was a sunny day, I would have wanted to hang out there. The arcade area is small with only maybe 6 games but it's still cool to have. The games ranged from $2 to $5. The Hookey game in there was pretty fun and free. Shuffleboard is by the hour or half hour. I was gonna give 3 stars because of the food but our server Jay was so sweet and awesome that I gotta give 4c stars. She offered to have our food remade but we declined. She was very attentive and made sure we wanted for nothing. Awesome service and cool place! I'll come back and recommend this place! read more

First time playing shuffleboard and enjoyed the game play! We played multiple rounds within our hour reservation, so I'd say our $20 was worth it! The place was clean and welcoming. One of the other staff members were very helpful to another group giving tips on how to play and coaching them as they attempted. Drinks were delicious and service was rather quick with one waitress staffed. Food was alright, hence the 4 stars. I ordered the Cobb salad. It was visually appealing, but the bacon and the chicken were incredibly salty to the point I only had a few bites before I had to call it quits. Came from brunch at 11:00am. They had a few options but nothing that really looked good. I ordered the hash and it took 45 minutes to arrive at my table. The meat was very dry and there was no flavor. The only time the witness came to check on us was to hand us our checks. She never came back so we had to bring them to the bar. NOT A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD. Only street parking and the side of the road was covered with broken car window glass. The inside was so loud we had to sit outside, but the patio smelled of sewage from the city water treatment plant a few blocks away. When we were headed home after a meal you can get at any chain restaurant, cars were racing and doing doughnuts, blocking the road we were trying to leave on. We were visiting family in Kansas City and my cousin suggested Shuffleboard and lunch at Larks. I'm so glad we went! We arrived before lunch and had the place to ourselves but other folks stopped in while we were there. The food was very good. We started with an appetizer of cheese curds, which were amazing. We all agreed that we'd go back just for the cheese curds! I had the Smashburger and the burger had a wonderful seasoning and the bun was toasted. Our waitress, Carrie, was super attentive and friendly. She explained Shufffleboard to us, so we all played while we waited for our lunch. It was the perfect thing to do with another couple and they have tables next to the Shuffleboard courts so we ate and then played more. I really hope more folks find this place because it was so fun and they've really decorated it nicely. I would have loved to been there in the summer and used the outdoor shuffleboard courts by the fire pit. read more
