Great service...huge menu...good food. Don't let the strip mall scare you away. Chicken salad sandwich was good, hand made chips were very good! Definitely recommend

Another great experience at KC Bistro which I still consider a gem hidden in a little strip mall. It's a great place to go prior to the wonderful ICM concerts at Park University. I had a dinner special tonight, and it was absolutely delicious! A knock-your-socks-off sauce over perfectly cooked salmon and fresh vegetables. I HIGHLY recommend you go NOW while it's still on the menu! BALSAMIC SALMON $29.99 parmesan risotto sauteed zucchini & squash marinated cherry tomatoes & mozarella pesto cream sauce | balsamic glaze Because it was my birthday, I got a complimentary 1/2 portion of one of their desserts, the Brownie Sundae. The 1/2 portion was bigger than most restaurant's whole portions! It was big enough to share with both my friends , and we all loved it! But it's always tough to resist the daily cheesecake special, and tonight's was a carrot cake!

BC Bistro has been a Northland staple since 2014, but somehow, my wife and I only just made our first visit. What an oversight! We love supporting local restaurants, and this husband-and-wife-run gem has clearly built a devoted following--for good reason. The team-service approach meant we were always well taken care of, and the menu? Extensive and enticing, with everything from fresh salads and hearty sandwiches to flavorful pastas and tempting daily specials. Our meals did not disappoint--the Crab Crusted Salmon and Chicken Fried Chicken were both delicious and served up fast. And just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, the Bread Pudding arrived. Spectacular. We'll definitely be back--next time, much sooner!

This is a very unassuming place in a strip mall. It is a comfortable space with tables and chairs. A booth would have been nice but they are making the best use of their space. I started my dinner with a Cinnamon Apple Moscow Mule. It was warm and amazing. My girlfriend a Raspberry Bramble. It was equally good. We were pretty hungry so we ordered a Bruschetta appetizer while we weighed all of the menu options. The bread was soft and fully loaded with mozzarella pearls and halved grape tomatoes. It had the right amount of balsamic on it. I chose the Balsamic Chicken. The chicken was very flavorful and the fettucine was cooked perfectly. The pesto cream sauce was delightful and it was just the right amount. My girlfriend ordered the Spicy Shrimp. She subbed out the rice for pepper jack mac. The waitress warned her that the shrimp was really spicy. She wasn't wrong. If the shrimp had just been "glazed" with mango habanero it might have been good but they fully loaded the plate with the sauce. No complaints but she was glad she thankful for the coolness of the mac and cheese. They serve by committee here and everyone takes their job seriously. Every single server who came to our table was super pleasant and they kept our table cleared of empty dishes. We will definitely be back here.

BC Bistro offers excellent hospitality and a diverse menu filled with delicious options. The atmosphere is casual, and it's well-suited for accommodating large groups or families. Our server was attentive and offered great recommendations. We started with the Brisket Nachos to share, and the portion was generous--perfect for sharing. The brisket was tender, and each chip was loaded with flavorful nacho cheese, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, and more. For my entrée, I had the Seafood Pasta, which featured a mix of shrimp, scallops, lump crab, spinach, tomatoes, and cheeses. It was tasty, though a bit too watery for my preference, but the flavor remained excellent overall.

Location: North Kansas city Ambiance: nice place. Family oriented Food: it was ok. Nachos were fine. Lobster Mc and cheese was delicious. I really liked the spicy flavor to it. Bread pudding was the star of our dinner. Fresh, delicious. Enough for 2-3 people. This place is recommended

This place was great! We came at 1030am, and were able to order from both the brunch and regular menu. Service was great!! The restaurant was clean, organized and TVs all over to watch Saturday college football. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and fell in love!!! I ordered the hot honey chicken and let me tell you- it was some of the BEST chicken I've ever eaten!! I highly recommend checking them out!!!

This hidden gem, I've driven past for years, was such a pleasant surprise! Called for a reservation on this Friday night and so happy we did, busy place. Great little server went through the menu favorites and kept our drinks full the entire meal. Between the 7 of us, we sampled several items. I only took pictures of two (sorry, my children clean plates faster than piranha's) Everything was delicious and cooked to order. Very impressed. The table ended the meal with a few dessert items, like Brownie Sundae and Bread Pudding. I resisted the urge to sample (or I wasn't given the option to try a bite lol) Clean plates on this round also. We left super happy with a unanimous vote to return soon.

This place was terrific! When you pull up, don't be out off by the fact that it's in a strip mall. Inside, it's a basic decor. However, the food is amazing. It's a mix of Italian and American favorites. Lots of pasta dishes, burgers and a good amount of salad choices. I had the steak and blue cheese salad. It was excellent. The steak was great and there was just the right amount of blue cheese flavor (not too tangy). My son had a burger. It was excellent as well. And, they have a good size sirloin on the kids menu for only $10. The fries were terrific. And, their ranch is homemade and wonderful. Service was very good. The wait for our food wasn't long. Definitely will go back. You should totally try this place!

I really love this restaurant! There's usually always good service whenever I have come here. Sometimes it can get pretty busy, but there are enough waiters to balance the rush. The ambiance is lowkey and even intimate, but comfortable and not too presumptuous. It is a nice place to enjoy a meal with another person or a small group of people, like family. The food is amazing, I have never eaten a bad meal here. I especially love the Cajun Tortellini, I could never get tired of that delectable flavor! The salmon was fantastic as well. Perfect texture and a great side of garlic whipped potatoes. Delicious! I wish I came here more often, honestly.

Just stopped by for a quick taste of KC. Got just that. Quick courtesy service. Slightly above average food quality. My only taste of KC.

And it's further afield than we normally do for date night so it felt like a choice he wouldn't expect, which is how we roll. We arrived at about 6:30 on a Friday and it was pleasantly full but not crazy. I had reservations, obviously. The staff had all signed a nice postcard on the table to note his birthday. After we put in our drink order (he got an old-fashioned and I got a Dr Pepper, since I was driving), our server brought over two bottles of Prosecco, one being NA since she wasn't sure if I drank or not, and offered us a toast for his birthday. I thought it was a nice gesture. They ask that you put in your full order at the top of the meal so they can pace it properly. We started with the whipped goat cheese with brussels sprouts and fried saltines. An interesting dish and fun to see saltines reimagined as something high-end. He got their gigantic pork chop and I got a perfectly cooked and delicious KC strip with the creamiest mashed potatoes. I saw half butter and half cream and I thought, that's for me! Lol. That wasn't a cheap entree, but it did include a sauce (I got béarnaise) and a choice of side. I took more than half of my meal home. At that point, she brought out the dessert menu and Kyle decided on the flourless chocolate cake, which is one of his favorites, but that he often doesn't get at a restaurant because so many restaurants buy their stuff from Sysco now. And holy cow, it's the best dessert I've had in ages! A great reminder of how good a flourless chocolate cake can be. Anyway, I definitely would recommend Acre. They did a great job of making my fiance feel really special and just generally had terrific service and wonderful elevated food. Helpful hint: there is a $25pp no show fee on reservations, so be aware of that, and cancel at least 24 hours out if you think you might need to.

I have ordered the slow blossom cocktail and it was amazing. Sweet and sour as our server described. My husband got old fashioned and he thought it was just average. We ordered beef tartare to start with and wow. All you can taste is spicy mustard, it's like eating spoonful of wasabi. Even thought we have mentioned this to our server we did not received any offer to replace it or compensation at the end of our meal. We ordered housemade ricotta cappalletti and that was the best dish! Although the portion was a bit on smaller side it tasted amazing!! We also ordered roasted campo lingo hen - it was good but not amazing. The proportions were off. We got full chicken breast and full leg with 2 pieces of broccolini and maybe like 2tbs mashed potatoes disappearing under chicken leg tasting just okay. For desert we got dark chocolate crème- overall very good. Needed just a bit more or raspberry ice cream( not sure if it was ice cream or gelato or sorbet). Overall I don't think it was worth going back and price tag. I found staters list short and not much variety. Wanted to recommend other carb/cracker options for starters. Goat cheese whip sounded amazing but why would I want fried saltine crackers with it?? Beef tartare came with these seed lavosh that was more like very salty thin crackers. I didn't get it. Additionally - the air conditioning was very aggressive. It was keep blowing right on top of us alternating between cold and hot. Was disruptive.

I foresee a re-branding in the near future. Anywho, it's not my investment money. I came with a group of co-workers on a Saturday evening last week for some socializing. This involved food for everyone but me since I arrived late and had already started my pre-party elsewhere - and why kill a good buzz!? I did arrive in time to see the food delivered and consumed and the burgers and loaded fries did look excellent. We started on the patio and moved inside for more drinking and to play pool. The place has all the standard attractions that a suburban bar & grill would have. Pool, video golf, sports on TV, a good speaker system, tons of neon bar signs and waitresses in skimpy outfits. Speaking of waitresses - ours was named Kylie and she was a hoot. A natural for the customer service industry. Funny, efficient and friendly. Would I go back? Sure, next time for food and hopefully Kylie will be our server again.
