    Table for 8. :)

This is my second time here. I was lucky enough to get into the Blue Crab Brunch. Let me tell you it was a feast!! So much delicious food. The host is very generous with portions. The provide take away boxes so you can take leftovers home. We were educated on blue crab and how to crack them. The food just kept coming and each dish was so good. The seating is outdoors. When I came for tea, she had 2 tables of 6. This time it was a large table of 8. It made it easy to talk to everyone. This is done out of her home. She is licensed and the venue is in her front yard. It is fenced so you don't feel exposed. The yard is well kept and you just feel like you're in a small garden having a fabulous picnic. You can't ask for a more friendly host. Plenty of street parking. Highly recommend. Wish I could keep this place my little secret, but want her to succeed. :)

My sister had the chance to attend the Table for 6 launch party and enjoyed sampling Christina's creations. This past weekend my mom, sister and I sat down for a brunch service which was a memorable and delicious experience! Table for 6 allows you to curate your own brunch menu and we went with chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and corned beef hash for our entrees. You're greeted by Christina who opens up her home for diners in a warm, welcoming, and cozy environment. When weather permits, she has a spacious outdoor dining option. We started off with refreshing tea-based mocktails and a charcuterie board filled to the brim with cheese, crackers, meat, nuts, homemade pickles, and other bites and spreads. She even showcases treats from local vendors such as Gilroy's garlic chips! Be sure to save room for your entree! All of our dishes came in generous portions, were tailored to our taste preferences, and made fresh to order. The cornmeal waffles with Korean inspired fried chicken were a standout, and my family enjoyed their corned beef hash with poached eggs as well as the steak and eggs with flavorful chimichurri sauces on the side. Christina also brought out a basket of breads with a sweet potato biscuit and her specialty sourdough. The biscuit came with cinnamon butter which one of the best bites of the entire brunch! It was sweet and savory which is one of my favorite flavor combos. The cinnamon butter is crave-worthy! Lastly, the dessert platter capped off a delicious afternoon. Christina used to work at CakeLove bakery in Washington, DC and her baked goods are not to be missed. The apple cider donuts were mini but packed a mighty flavor punch, as well as the pumpkin muffins. She provided a non-dairy cream cheese spread to go with the donuts and muffins--yum! The basque cheesecake was baked perfectly and served as the centerpiece of the platter. There was also a creme brulee inspired puff pastry which was my family's favorite. Overall, come hungry to Table for 6! It is a unique dining experience in a lovely environment with a fantastic host who truly loves cooking and entertaining. We plan to come back for an Afternoon Tea service. Thank you, Christina!

This new micro restaurant in San Mateo is the best place in town for ambience and food! My daughter and I both loved the atmosphere outside -- gorgeous setting surrounded by plants and a cozy tea party setting at the table. All of the food was delicious! My favorite was the Brioche French Toast and I also loved the egg salad croissants with microgreens (but forgot to get a photo!). Christina made us feel very welcomed. She pointed out which dishes were vegetarian and was a very gracious host in addition to being a talented chef.

A Must-Try, One-of-a-Kind Experience! Table For 6 is truly a hidden gem and an unforgettable culinary experience. Christina and her husband, Jeremy, welcomed us into their peaceful outdoor space with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. My friends and I were lucky enough to enjoy their private Blue Crab Lunch Special, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We began with a rich, creamy crab chowder, paired with homemade sourdough, biscuits, and an assortment of delicious jams and jellies. A fun and unexpected highlight was learning how to pick crabs with Jeremy--he made it engaging and approachable! From there, the feast rolled out dish after dish: oyster shots, crab cakes, soft-shell crab, hush puppies, collard greens, homemade bacon, coleslaw, corn, and cornbread. What truly stood out was that the majority of the dishes were unique twists or creations we'd never tasted before--a refreshing and exciting change from typical menus. Every bite was thoughtful, flavorful, and made with care. And then came dessert: FIVE incredible sweets--Baltimore Berger cookie pie, Smith Island cake, Virginia peanut pie, fried bread pudding, and cherry crumble bars. Yes, you get full servings of everything! Come very hungry--you will absolutely leave with leftovers, a happy heart, and probably the need for a nap. Most of all, we appreciated the chance to unwind, catch up, and enjoy the company of such kind and passionate hosts. Christina and Jeremy are a true delight, and their love for food and hospitality shines through every detail. This is a must-try experience you won't find anywhere else. Already looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful time at Table for 6. Christina and her helper were friendly, courteous and so kind. The food was excellent . . . the charcuterie, the main entrees (corned beef hash and salmon with vegetables), a variety of freshly baked delicous desserts, and the spectacular bread, with plenty leftovers to enjoy the next day, all served in such an inviting atmosphere (inside or outside). You will not be sorry to try Table for 6.

What is the cost of a tea party for 6?

Tea Party is $85/person (as of 6/2025) not including tax/tip. Unless of course you do a custom menu then pricing can change. It was a unique experience :)

Once located though, I was disappointed on several fronts. First, there is no view of the ocean cause this restaurant's outdoor area is next the pool area so not only do you not get a view but you have to listen to kids at the pool. Next is the service. There seems to be plenty of waiters around yet for some reason the service is slow. Lastly, when we showed up on a Sunday for brunch, they told me that only the buffet was available, no ala carte. Interesting. Ok so I went to the omelet station and the cook behind the counter was friendly enough but was working 2-3 skillets/customers at once. As you can imagine, my omelet tasted overcooked. On a positive note, it's a very beautiful restaurant and is very clean. I dunno, overall I'd say this place is fine if you're staying at the resort but if you travel here, like I did, it may not be worth the time traveled plus the expensive price (approximately $100 per person)

Things started off promising with our server, Destiny. She loved our dog and we appreciated that she set an outdoor table for us. But when service actually started, it all slowly went downhill. A canned drink we ordered had dirt on the lid. No big deal we thought and just requested another one. Destiny for some reason took this personally and the attitude started popping off from there. It's not like we said it was covered in rat droppings or something! She took our orders by memory and of course, an item came out wrong. Instead of apologizing, she again made it seem like it was somehow our fault. We were so put off by her attitude, we didn't even complain when the burger came out RAW. Just look at this picture. Yuck. By the time this happened, the service was so awful we just wanted to get out of here. While waiting for our check (which never came, we had to ask for it ourselves), I went on Yelp and noticed that Destiny had other terrible reviews about her! Why is she still employed here? Maybe she's the owner's daughter, which might explain why she took mistakes so personally. In any case, we were lucky enough to dissuade another party from having lunch -- they were viewing the menu, asked us how our experience was, and we were glad they were spared. Hopefully this review will stop others from the same awful experience. But there's a reason this place is empty on a Sunday when the PV Fair is going on. Just go to Good Stuff next door!

Close to where the wifey wanted to shop, (aka, happy wife, happy life), but I too like the mens Bath & Body products. But I digress... We both got paninis, and in their defense, both were tasty. Me... chipotle chicken, the wife, turkey I think but I have no idea. The "fries or salad option" is offered and me, being the fat effer that I am, chose salad, as did the lovely wifey. Results. Pannini's, i.e. both of them, were very tasty. Not the knock your sock off kick my arse variety, but very tasty. Bread is delicious... That said... here is kicker #1. You are offered a 'Salad or a Fry', with your panini. Again. the both of us, attending to our respective diets, chose the salad option. Well... kick me in the arse and call me a donkey's child because I could have picked more greens outta my teeth after a snack sesh with broccoli after flossing, than this B.S... Again, I digress. What really gets me is the cost of two small, albeit tasty, panini's, that was $54... Really? Call me a cheapskate but I personally believe that $54 should at least give you a little... Well, I'll stop there... JMHO.

I got to enjoy beautiful views of the Pacific from their Garden Terrace and Ballroom. The Ballroom has windows that overlook the golf course and makes for a great sight of the sunset at night. It's also quite a spacious ballroom, making it perfect for large events and parties. Aside from enjoying the view, I got to enjoy a wonderful dinner here tonight. Dinner was kicked off with appetizers such as Fried Artichoke, Chicken Tostada and Coconut Shrimp. The main dinner course consisted of tender Short Rib with Roasted Potatoes and Peas. Dessert was a mini Apple Pie topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel. I enjoyed visiting Palos Verdes Golf Club very much. One thing I would note though was when I was leaving, it was quite dark. The neighborhood around doesn't have much light in the evening. I wasn't quite a fan of the dark area and I do wish there were more lights around. Other than though, this spot is a beautiful spot to visit.

First, the positives: The location is unmatched. Having dinner while watching the gorgeous sunset over the Pacific was unforgettable. The tall male host at the entrance was also wonderfully kind, professional, and set a great tone for the evening. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag but mostly good. The burgers and tacos were flavorful and delicious. However, I would skip the Fried Calamari--it was almost entirely heavy batter, and it felt like there was barely any actual squid inside. Unfortunately, our dining experience took a sharp turn for the worst due to our female server. We were served our main courses before our salads or appetizers ever made it to the table, and we weren't even given any utensils to eat with. After waiting and searching for our server to no avail, I flagged down another staff member to ask for utensils and let them know about the missing appetizers. Shortly after, our server marched over to our table with an incredibly defensive and intimidating attitude, asking us if we had "complained" about her to another staff member. The hostile tone was shocking. To top it off, she forgot our drinks, and when we had to ask for them again, she gave us an exasperated, annoyed look. It is so disappointing when a beautiful, special occasion is ruined by someone's terrible attitude. While the scenery and most of the food were fantastic, management really needs to address the service standards here.

Let's not get political (please) - it's Yelp after all…read more I chose here this year for my husband's annual birthday brunch! He loves a decadent brunch. Who doesn't? And after a number of years patroning the Four Season's Beverly Hills brunch on Doheny I wanted to try something new. There's not many decadent, birthday worthy brunch options in our post Covid world. So when I found this one, read the menu and saw the price point I was ALL in. And my goodness it blew last year at the four seasons away by a lot!!! (They dipped significantly after Covid - not the same value). The Trump had EVERYTHING you could want in a brunch. Sushi, free flowing champagne, prime rib, crepes, crab, waffles, eggs Benedict, pancakes, chocolate dipped fruit, breads, bagels, cheeses, salad, Korean short ribs, shrimp, shrimp scampi, pasta, omelettes, oysters, fruit & figs, and sausage & bacob.
