Everytime I go to Redondo Beach, I stop in to have a tea. I've been here a few times. In the past I ordered a turmeric tea latte hot. It was so delicious. I went about a week ago and I didn't see it on the menu, so I tried "heart shaped box" iced. It was good, had some drizzled chocolate on the top. But the turmeric tea is still my fave. This tea bar has a really cool esthetic, you can sit at a bar or at small tables in the front. It's priced pretty average, about what a latte costs at a coffee shop. I come here often to get a little work done or read a book. During the summers, I'll take my drink and snack out to the beach which is just down the street from this place. The staff always gives me recommendations after asking questions regarding my drink preferences and, they never fail to ask me if I want to order anything to eat to go with my drink. If I'm hungry, I'll usually go with The Grunge which has berries and sunflower butter. For my drink, I usually order The Rocker. I love the combination of Earl Grey and Lavender, but I also have ordered The Rude Boy if I don't want caffeinee. I would recommend any of those. This tea bar is appropriately calming inside with its dark walls and low lights, but it's also rock and roll themed which gives the place lots of character. Prices are expensive considering what is tangible/edible, but well worth it when you have the ocean breeze coming through the doors while you're enjoying your drink and reading a good book. I have been here several times. They have the most interesting selection of Teas, some coffees, and great food that they make there on the spot. The service is fast and friendly and I love their little bar that you can sit at. They have so many neat photos of musicians and artwork, some motorcycle art and merch. They serve teas, coffees, fountain drinks, sundaes and milkshakes and seem to have a whole menu of non alcoholic cocktails as well. There's a bar you can sit at after ordering and some two tops and a few outdoor tables as well. The service was a bit slow but everything on the menu is fairly complex so that's understandable. This is an absolutely delight of a shop! This shop takes creativity and tea-centic to a new level. Samantha is a gem and so knowledgeable. I had never been and had a friend recommend this as a spot. The Chaga Khan latte is one of the best lattes I've ever had. I enjoyed it at half sweetness, which was perfect. It tasted like a warm hug without going into the dessert territory. Hello, this is an update from Aug 2025 about this cafe! I visited 2+ years ago and had a lovely experience, this time I tried the The Greaser tea and it was fantastic! I was craving something energizing for the ride home, so I tried the Dragonfruit açaí bowl and it was really refreshing and delicious. I really really enjoyed their seasonal Bananarama latte which is described as a banana muffin in a cup and I could not agree more. I love a warm banana muffin so how they managed to capture that flavor and put it in a cup *shook*. Seriously though, I went back a week later for the same latte. I also tried one of the acai bowls, which while I'm not a huge fan of what appeared to be acai out of a tub, it was pretty good with all the toppings and was the perfect portion to hold me over until lunchtime. I really loved the ambiance, kind of like a rockers dive bar paradise but instead of the smell of old beer and fried food it was a warm smell of tea and honey. Will definitely be back. I wish I knew about this place sooner. A friend of mine took me there the other night for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Even though tea is not my favorite go to, I was impressed as soon as I walked in. Papa Roach was playing on the speakers. It had such a cool vibe. I ordered a Dream On and the barista put a nice foam on it. It was so delicious. My friend and I sat and enjoyed our warm drinks after a great walk on the esplanade. I was talking with the two other friends the very next night and telling them about Racer Tea that they insisted that we walk on the Esplanade rather than in Hermosa like we originally planned as they needed to try this place that I was raving about. Well they loved it and are now hooked. My 3rd visit (in 4 days) was yesterday morning after a 4 mile hike up in PV. Again I was talking about this cute little tea shop that they too insisted we stop by. Well 3 more new customers as they all loved it. I finally tried one of their breakfast toasts. It was so tasty. Saw a little sign on the esplanade advertising some cold tea on a sunny and hot Saturday morning, so we followed the directions and walked in to find a tea bar with a biker vibe. Super cool place, complete with a bar really awesome interior. Tried the tea flight consisting of the greaser (a chocolatey concoction with a trace of caramel), our favorites the punk (a traditional Thai iced tea) and the rasta (a coconut and pineapple tea with a hint of hibiscus) as well as the twist the throttle (black Thai tea with brown sugar). all the teas we tried were delicious and the staff really friendly. All the teas were cold brewed and were really rich and had just the right amounts of flavor and flavor hints, and the oat milk brought out the best in the drinks. Found out they have live music on Saturday nights and live comedy on Monday nights. Will definitely be back! read more

Tea, snacks, and treats from a local business that cares about quality at a reasonable price. I was visiting Redondo Beach and wandered into this gem of a tea shop just a block from the Embarcadero. It is a small shop inside a larger building that has a dentist and bicycle rentals, but when I saw a sign that had a picture of a hot fudge sundae and a gorgeous tea, I knew I had to stop inside and was rewarded. They only serve the ice cream on weekends, so I wasn't able to try it, but they did have delicious homemade cookies and a chai tea that made my walk back up the Embarcadero even more enjoyable. I went recently with my partner. It's right by the beach, as was a super cool looking place! A little small inside, but with tables and a bar there were still many places to sit down. I ordered The Punk, a Thai tea drink, while my partner ordered The Greaser latte, a mocha nut maté. We both each ordered The Hippie avocado toast with feta, onions, and tomatoes I believe, and the PB and Açaí bowls with strawberry, banana, honey, shredded coconut, and cacao nibs. Admittedly, I'm not a huge tea person, but I've always loved Thai Tea and The Punk was absolutely delicious. My partner really enjoyed The Greaser as well. The Hippie was absolutely delicious and so was the PB and Açaí. The service was good. My only gripe was the price-- With 20% tip, the whole order for the two drinks, two avocado toasts, and two açaí bowls was just over $80. I'm not bothered by the price; I recognize smaller businesses and I'm ready to pay the higher prices for better quality, more ethical sourcing, and (hopefully!) better working conditions, but it was definitely more expensive than yelp had led me to believe, so best to be prepared for that. Was walking by and came across this gem. It is NOT what you expect it just from the outside. Once you step in, you're def in for a treat. Google map directions got me confused. I can't believe I've never knew of or been here before, so for easy reference, it's located next door to Sacks on the Beach if you know where that is. This is probably the cutest bar that serves non-alcoholic drinks and I ordered the "Double The Rocker", an Earl Grey with Lavendar and honey. This is a freshly brewed tea, no lame tea bag with hot water! The staff is friendly and great at explaining their menu. This is a great place to meet a friend for tea. Found this place as I was walking to the shore looking for a random matcha or coffee spot! The owner Chad is kind and welcoming, and so is Kayla! She got me right and recommended I try the The Mod (Their version of Matcha). Genmaicha, Japanese Green Tea w/ Rice & Brown sugar. since I told her I was looking for matcha. This is a quality loose leaf drink that taste pretty good! The environment feels like a bar but no alcohol is served (I think) haha l.
