Two words... wine club. Seriously for $99 and you get 2 tastings at 5 locations at every visit? It pays for itself in one or two trips... plus a discount/membership pricing! This spot is off Red Arrow Highway, and looks like a little house. It has several times and ample wine bar tasting seating as well. They do not have food, but their wine is great!! I love their cream liquors! Such fun flavors and so delicious! They also sell wine by the glass... but don't be my husband and get a $21 glass of wine.... *Screaming* Heyyyyyy Mary!! I did NOT forget to do a review on your winery!! Ladies and gents! Let me share my experience about this niceeeeee winery I went to. This was my SECOND winery of the day. It was about 3 weeks ago. But I remember it well. On the outside, it doesn't look like much-but just allow me to talk about the amazingness that happens on the inside. Simple, comfortable/cozy and warm is the feeling I got on the inside of this place. My gf and I were welcomed by Mary. Great smile, full of spunk and great valuable information! We let her know that we desired a tasting and she got right down to it. Asked questions of our pallet (s), was it our first time and such. We made our selection -taking our time selecting from 6 different wines. She was VERY knowledgeable of aromas, pairings, tasted and so much more! I was intrigued just listening. We sipped alot. Tried what seemed like everything. Lol (we didnt). And it was a great time. Fyi! Blueberry Franc is a special treat of a wine. It is not for everyone, but it packs a sweet, semi thick punch of adulting that all should try just once in their lives. At the end we were given a free wine glass, and suggestions for items to pick up soon that would be needed for all wine drinkers. If you travel to Michigan, please stop by this lovely gem of a winery for a tasting. Take a seat and get a glass of something yum, talk with Ms. Mary and tip her!! Michigan is filled with wineries. We sat at the bar and our bartender Carlos was great at recommending beers, wine & also great conversation! We would definitely go there again. Holy inflation Batman! Tastings used to be complimentary at the Tabor Hill tasting rooms but since the company was bought out by another winery, no more. I think it's the only spot in Michigan I can recall charging double digits for tastings (it's $12 now ... More in line with Napa/Sonoma than Michigan, especially since their bread and butter has always been super affordable wines like the classic demi sec, available virtually everywhere around these parts in the $8ish per bottle.) They've also done away with the chocolates that used to be sold at this location. I've always been impressed with the tasting room staff at this location but it's too spendy for me these days. read more

Before heading out to pick apples, Dan, Nia, Michelle and I stopped here for some wine tasting. The tasting is free, service was good and the wine was excellent and pretty cheap. The pours were on the small side, except for the bubbly wines. Based on my experience here, I'd definately be up for a meal at the restuarant. read more

3 stars because of the misleading name. Although we had a nice visit at this tasting room, I was really expecting there to be a lot of champagnes. We were politely explained that it was not called Tabor Hill Champagne Cellar because of selection, but instead because it was an old champagne cellar. Hmmph. Anyway, the wines were actually quite good here and the tasting was FREE (amazing). The person working behind the counter was very friendly and jovial and had a passion for the wines. I would recommend getting air conditioning as it was a hot day when we visited and was quite uncomfortable. read more

In total agreement with Beth C's review. We used to love coming to this hidden gem for the free tastings and to buy truffles. Tastings are now a steep $12 (you do get to keep the glass) and the truffles are no longer offered. We used to love the Red Arrow red and they're no longer making it. Bottle prices have gone up significantly, too. Won't be visiting again due to these changes. read more

Not awful for MI wine. But set your expectations. This review is for two visits. We didn't stay the second time. It's pretty and wine is OK. Great service on first visit. Second visit not so much. Surly woman at the hostess stand. We had a dog & I get that we couldn't bring her in but the ATTITUDE. There was no one there. She was nasty. I'm getting old too and just hope I can still muster some semblance of politeness by the time I am her age. We will never be back and recommend spending your dollars on a real bottle of wine. read more

Tabor hill is one of the best and oldest wineries in the sw Michigan region. It has won awards for most of their wines. I have been wine tasting several times in the area and rank this one in the top 2. Servers are knowledgeable and aren't college kids on their first job. They know what they are talking about. Friendly service at the "Champagne cellar" where I visited. By the way, this is a wine tasting room not really for champagne. But the tasting is free, because they know you will spend money when you taste their amazing wine! read more

I am giving this a 3 instead of a 5 pure and simple because of one of the hosts, Mary. She was beyond rude. She greeted us and then we waited and waited. Another group, whom she appeared to know, walked in and we never saw her again. There were 2 hosts and the 2nd, Rebecca, was fabulous! She was very knowledgeable. Tabor Hill was stop two on a three stop wine tour for my Girlfriends and I. Because it was a Monday afternoon it wasn't crowded, which was a plus. There were only a few other groups and non had to wait. That's the best part. Our Wine tasting guide? wine Steward, Tom was pleasant and his knowledgable about the wines was very extensive, however he was rude and insulting. Upon greeting 4 women aged 39-46, he referred to us as girls. He then attempted some small talk, and asked us if we were from Chicago, of which we were. He then asked about our "Gang affiliation" he thought this was a great joke. I'm not sure if the thought two Hispanic women, one African American woman and one Asian woman would find this humorous or not, but he certainly did. I'm sure the management at Tabor Hill either does not know that he is representing the company this way or not, but my friends and I won't be back, nor will we recommend it to any of our friends or family. Perhaps along with Sommelier training, they might provide a class on "how to engage your client, without insulting them". read more

We usually stop in when we go to Weko Beach in Bridgman. Great little place, lots of good wines, I always leave with a case of the Classic Demi Red. Great slightly sweet red.
