This vineyard reminds me of parts of Sonoma, with sweeping views of the vines from almost every angle. Inside, the decor is open and bright, with natural light pouring in through large windows. The outdoor deck offers plenty of space, making it a great spot for groups, and the umbrellas provide solid shade on sunny days. The snack spread was a nice touch....cheese, crackers, and pita chips, with generous options to choose from. Wine tasting is done standing at the bar, but you do get a discount on any bottles you purchase. The best deal is the "Build-A-Bag": buy 3 bottles and get a 4th free. My favorites were the 2019 Estate White Blend, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2023 Simply Rosé. On top of all that, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. read more

By far our favorite Vineyard in Southwest Michigan! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon as a group of six. It is $25 per person for (5) wine tastings but one gets $10 off buying a bottle of wine for every tasting purchased. The inside is beautifully designed and very rustic. There is a main tasting counter, a smaller/intimate counter, some lounge seating, and some tables inside. Outside there is a beautiful gravel patio overlooking the vines to enjoy; pictures do not do it justice. When we entered, our server, Ben, greeted us and said he could take us at the smaller counter. We loved having a more 1:1 experience and really got to ask questions on the wines. He was so personable, paced our group well, and went above and beyond with our tasting in giving us an additional small of the Cab Sauv to compare to the Reserve. It's not often one will see pre-aged bottles for purchase or tasting at a vineyard. Some of our group's favorite wines were the Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Dry Traminette, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, and Pinot Noir. I HIGHLY recommend making a trip to Dablon; it will not disappoint! A big motivation for coming here were the huge leather couches next to the fire...yum. They also have igloos by reservation. This is a truly elegant, not fussy tasting room. Some cheese dips and crackers for sale. I always love a blanc de blanc, which they have. They also show movies in the tasting room on Thursday nights--so fun! The winery is beautifully decorated and has space for both inside & outside seating with fire pit areas. It was interesting learning about the winery and it's name. Having now done a tasting, I regret I can only give 2 stars. I would have given only one based on the quality of the wine, but the tasting consultant was very nice and the ambiance of the place is pleasant. But $25 for 5 one-ounce pours of their wines is absurd. (They do give you a $15 credit toward buying a bottle, but the markups are higher than you pay for their wines in a grocery store.) Apparently they got a few good early reviews, and that seems to have made them imagine they're in Napa Valley or something and can charge accordingly. No, they're in rural Michigan, and the five wines I tasted were no better than any other Michigan winery I've been to. Moreover, Michigan weather means that the quality of vintages can vary widely from year to year. Of the wines I tasted, the driest whites had virtually no flavor. The semi-sweet selections I had were ok but lacked any sort of finesse. The Chard they served was from 2015. Why are they still pouring that? This place projects pretension and uptightness, right down to the signs forbidding you from walking into the vineyards without "authorized personnel." They really need to get over themselves. They're apparently selling mainly to tourists who don't know much about wine or who are just wowed by the facility. The wine is what you come for, and the five wines I had were mediocre. read more

We decided to check this place out since it was highly recommended. Upon entrance of the parking lot you can see several kinds of different wine varieties. The inside is nice with plenty of room for tasting as well as sitting with friends or family. While the tasting price is a little steep for what you get, you can pick any five wines listed on the sheet. Not a common thing for a winery. Many have a set list you pick from and you only get three. Here you have plenty to pick from. We really enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. We also enjoyed the Cab Merlot and lastly the Carmene. For a white wine, we did enjoy the Chardonnay, it was a little buttery on the back and it had a light citrus on the front end. Out of the wineries that we have tried in the area so far, this one has a better caliber of the quality of their wine. Definitely check them out if you are in the area, or not far. read more

What a great place to sip and savor wines from this fabulous Michigan vineyard. Being able to sit next to the grapes that create such full-bodied wines was a dream. I came here for a bachelorette party and had a great time trying 3 of the Dablon wines they offered alongside a great charcuterie board pairing. The patio seating provided a spacious enjoyable experience for our 13 party group all while being able to socially distance from other parties. All in all the Dablon winery is a great way to spend a Saturday and also made a great day trip to experience Michigan. read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous. We were camping in the general area and wanted to visit some Vineyards/Wineries on a Saturday before heading into St. Joseph/Benton Harbour. I missed on their website about reservations. We had 7 people in our group, and was lucky that the place was pretty much dead so they accommodated all of us for tastings at the bar. We all then collectivy purchased 13-14 glasses of wine to enjoy on beautiful patio with inspiring views. We also bought together about 10-12 bottles of wine. This should be an indication that we enjoyed what Dablon was doing with their grapes. I'm thankful we did not get turned away due to the reservations issue as others have described on here. Upon visiting on a Thursday, 3 of us reserved tastings. Our server was Sammi, generous with her pours and knowledge of the wines we drank. After receiving the absolute best tastings and time, we returned with 3 more friends the following Sunday. Our server, Taylor, seemed tired, not interested in what we were asking, had no answers for our questions and sadly, didn't know where she was pouring or what was happening in the moment. Our main disappointment was she was not willing to find the answers to our questions, and left it as she didn't know. So with that being said, you might have excellent service or a hangover from an employee? I don't mean to sound awful with the service, but she left the bar multiple times, not to gather answers for us, but to chit chat with employees? This Winery was beautiful!! Even though we couldn't have come at a worst time for the weather, lol! Over a foot of snow while in Michigan that weekend, but we couldn't have had such a wonderful experience if we hadn't braved the snow! As soon as you walk into the winery, you are wowed at how beautiful it is decorated and the ambience is very inviting. I guess everyone had the same idea that day, because it was pretty packed, and we were unable to do the wine tasting. Our group just ordered bottles, my husband and myself order their sweet Riesling, it was very delicious. We just hung out and played cards while drinking our wine and laughing. The staff are very sweet, they came over and talked and took some pictures for us. I can't offer a detailed review as we got to the winery and as we were unloading our daughter from the car, we were told she wasn't allowed in. We specifically called ahead and asked if they were wheelchair friendly which they were, but the time to have shared with us she wasn't allowed in should've been on the original call. My husband and I were here on a Friday in mid-June. We were immediately greeted as we walked in and welcomed to the tasting counter by Sami. We explained it was our first time visiting this winery and she gave us a run down on the history of the vineyard and she suggested we do a tasting. Yes, the price is $25 to sample 5 wines. However, if you purchase just one bottle you will get $15 credit towards the purchase (most vineyards in the area require you to purchase two or more bottles for a discount after tasting). The wine selection was extensive and diverse with something for every palate. My husband stuck to reds while I tasted everything from a dry white to a sweeter red. The quality of the wine was excellent. The tasting room itself is gorgeous with a large fireplace and seating area and sweeping views of the vineyard. After our tasting we wanted to walk outside and explore so we ordered a glass of our favorite wine from the tasting and headed out onto the patio. There is ample seating and it's very scenic. I would absolutely recommend this winery and will be back again soon. Sami did an excellent job at introducing us to Dablon and making our experience a memorable one. read more

I've had mostly positive experiences at Dablon in the past but the one that mattered the most to me, my bachelorette party, fell short. I booked a tasting for ten from 2:15-3:00 this past Saturday. Although they were busy, we were able to get right in but that's about as good as our experience got. The employee doing the tasting was rude, disinterested, and quite frankly seemed to just want to rush us out of there as fast as she could. She shared little to no knowledge on the wines and was pouring splashes at best. She even started giving out the checks and charging cards while some ladies had a wine or two left to try.
