Visited Gravity for a Sunday wine tasting. When entering, one needs to pay for their tasting ahead of sampling. It's $16 for 6 tastings which are all done at the central counter. The inside is very spacious but not well utilized with furniture. They have a beautiful outdoor patio space but tastings cannot be relocated outside. The tasting counter has spots spaced out by laminated offering sheets on the counter. One gets six tokens to select wines you want to taste. The wines were good but didn't blow our group away. The staff member serving us was extremely nice but verbal descriptions differed from verbiage on tasting sheets. Always a winning stop! Customer service is always top notch and the overall feeling you get there is something like a friend's business. Each staff member, goes out of their way to help direct you with choosing what you might like. The selection of wines and wide amount of styles are appealing. After stopping there several times a year, we decided to do a tasting again and it was wonderful. The girl behind the bar was extremely helpful and guided us thru the different styles depending on our likes and wants. She explained the nuances of each wine and even let us try a few others that we didn't even think of. Their tasting bar is nice and open, and their outside seating if cool and shaded with a wonderful musician playing every weekend. They make the entire experience feel calm, friendly and easy going. Stopped in for a quick tasting with my mom. 6 tastings for $16 - of which we split 3 and 3. One of the highlights was the blueberry wine, made from blueberries and not grapes. I really liked this one, it was sweet and refreshing. My mom wound up buying a bottle of the chocolate cherry port- which was excellent (drink it chilled). The sommelier was so helpful and informative (long wavy red hair) and very much elevated our experience with her knowledge of the wine, winery, and pairings, as well as other inventive ways to drink the wines. Our last stop on the wine trail on a Saturday. Nice spot with a "you pick" tasting. Meaning, you get five spots on their list and you can mix and match. Kind of nice so you can try white and red and sweet or dessert. Wine is good with some interesting blends. They also had two ports on the list. A but soft and sweet for my liking, however the white port, which I have never seen, is worth a taste. Overall this spot getting good marks from my wife and I. We are not wine experts, however we are members of two wine clubs, do several tastings and dinners every year and almost always hit up local wineries wherever we are in the world. My wife did the six wine tasting , She was looking for a white so she took three , so I took three and did the reds. She really enjoyed the wines she sampled and the knowledge of the young lady who was helping us.At the end we ended up with four wines we really enjoyed.. There is a charge for the tasting but you can get that money back if you buy four or more bottles of wine, but with the quality and choices that is very easy to do.. Came by Gravity today because they have our favorite wine, Michigan Magnetism, that is only $13 a bottle and we wanted some for my birthday. My husband was saying he was thinking of stocking up and getting 3 bottles, but they have a deal of buy 4 bottles and get $12 off. We got 4 bottles because the last bottle was then only $1. It worked out perfectly and I'm glad there was that discount for a larger amount of bottles. We got a canvas bag to hold them and they even gave us some truffles to go with them, which are delicious. I also saw on the bag, if you order online and buy 6 bottles you get free shipping which is a decent deal if you also get the $12 off after 4. I've been going to Gravity for quite some time. It gets better and better every time! It started out as the "bad boy" of wines which only had a couple of good wines, but great labels. Today, it's grown up and makes some of the best wines in the area. I'd argue some of the best for your buck. They are set up pretty simply and has a beautiful patio. Loved the location, lake, and barrels. The blue bottles are fun and I loved the variety. We got 6 wines to pick each, which we marked with red buttons. Then the server picked the order and introduced each one - which I loved! The wines were pretty solid - favorites were the pull (dry red) and sparkling rose (a bit sweet). Visited here with some friends to experience some of the Michigan Wine Country! The area is cute and they have plenty of outdoor seating. You can go right up to a bar type area inside, choose 4 different wines for $12 and they place it on small tray that you can carry outside to the patio to drink and relax. There are deals if you buy multiple bottles to take home (example: $5 off if you buy 2 bottIes) I bought a bottle of irresistible red which was a sweet red wine that I enjoyed during my tasting. The wines are okay, if you like more if the sweet wines, this may be more suitable for you. The staff was nice. A cool, more modern winery that opened in 2011. During our quick tour, we visited three wineries - Round Barn, Tabor Hill and Gravity. Round Barn had better wine, but Gravity was a fun place to visit. (Skip Tabor Hill.) For $10, you select four wines. Each wine comes with a corresponding chocolate (for reds) or cheese (for white). If you're like my girlfriend, you pick your wines based on the chocolate or cheese pairing. She's sophisticated like that. All the employees here were super-welcoming. They opened the door for us, brought us water and cheerfully offered suggestions and recommendations. Once you make your selections on a paper list, they start assembling your custom tasting. Your wooden tray is numbered with places for each glass and each chocolate or cheese. This allows you to refer back to your list so you remember which thing you're drinking/eating. It's a cool way to sample and the pairings were spot-on. Gravity features a large outdoor patio where you can sit out and enjoy the view. A musician showed up toward the end of our visit and started playing some tunes. In general, I thought the wines were kind of awful. Vacation Vino, a $12 merlot blush, was probably my favorite. But on the plus side, many of their labels are very cool. They have one with a triceratops and one with Mr. Spock wearing glasses. Kooky! Gravity is an awesome stop for a younger wine drinker. You're not going to find the stuffy atmosphere of a "fancy" winery, but you will have fun. read more

Gorgeous location. Really beautiful grounds to enjoy. This was our first stop of three wineries. It was the most beautiful location, but offered the worst wines. I referred to it, instead of a winery, as a "grape juicery and vinegary." The blueberry tasted like perfume. My thing about wine is that you should drink what you like. If it's inexpensive or tastes like Capri Sun and you like it - DRINK UP! This place has great reviews and I hope they continue to be successful. Their wines just weren't to my taste. read more

My first visit to Gravity Winery. I had tried some of their wines back in January at a Winter Wine party in Benton Harbor and liked what I tasted. Beautiful location once we found it. My GPS had me going down the wrong road and said I was here, when I actually was at an electrical power station :) After we reset the GPS, we easily found Gravity Winery. Very nice tasting room, which they tell me was recently remodeled with new counter tops, floors and other items. The two ladies working the counter were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines that Gravity makes. We had a BOGO free tasting coupon. The tastings are 4 pours for $13/person, which also comes with 2 pieces of cheese and a couple of crackers. I like the set up on a tray so once the pours have been made you can carry the tray to a table or take it outside. I tried the 2013 Pinot Gris - loved it. The Cab Fran - it was okay. The 2012 Merlot - loved it, and their new Rose - fabulous. D really liked the Lemberger. They had a special running - buy 4 bottles, save $20. We ended up taking advantage of this since I can't turn down a good sale. I look forward to opening up and enjoying our new wines from Gravity soon and we will definitely be back when the live music begins after Memorial Day. read more

This place is an experience. Favorite place for tasting and lunch. Not favorite wine. Drinkable and enjoyable but not striking enough to have purchased a bottle or two. We were on a wine tour with a group. Our visit to Gravity was extended just a bit so we had time to enjoy the brick oven flat bread pizzas offered out on the deck. The pizzas were good but pricey for what they were. The tasting boards at Gravity are really cool and thoughtful. A tasting board consists of four choices for $10 and each tasting is paired with a cheese or chocolate. The pairings were perfect. I had two tasting boards, myself. The view is spectacular. Younger feel to this winery and they have growers programs for people who want to learn to grown their own vine. I can't wait to go back. read more
