Parking: tons of parking! It is located in Fair Lakes Promenade, so it's a shopping strip area. Don't worry about parking! It may be hard to park when first watch is open too, because parking may get filled quickly on the side lot. Seating: there is some seating! Maybe around 10 tables and the bar seating area. Food: the two tacos I got were pretty good! The size is about 6 inch tacos. It is a chain restaurant, but there are some tacos other places do not have. I recommend trying those! :) Bathroom: there is a restroom in the back! Price: it can get pricey, depending on how many tacos you order. I think 2-3 tacos are enough for me! Service: you order at the cashier and they call your number to pick up your order. My cashier was friendly and nice. She was helpful in giving me ideas on what to order.

This spot is inside the shopping center with Nordstrom rack and the old navy. It's tucked in the corner behind first watch so I never noticed it was there. There's plenty of parking. The interior was actually so hip and not what I expected for the area. I liked it. There's a large bar that serves at lunch as well. You order at the register in the back. The prices are comparable, and pretty good. most tacos are $4, but I def recommend their $5 carne asada. It was the best one. They also have sauces white and green aren't spicy and the red one was a bit spicy could have more of a kick. The tacos were filling. I only needed about 2, but my husband needed about 3 but ofc finished what I couldn't haha. It's a clean space with a lot of seating inside and outside. I'd come again!

I enjoyed trying Taco Bamba. They have quite a varied menu, including quesadillas and breakfast selections served all day. On this visit, I ordered a Chorizo Taco and a Barbacoa Taco. They come in a soft shell but ard meant to be eaten as handhelds. Four different salsas of varying spices on the salsa bar. The filling is onion and cilantro. Different, but I liked it. I also ordered a side of salsa and chips. Only corn chips arrived. I suppose you use one of the four salsas. Taco Bamba has Coca-Cola fountain products. including Coke Zero, a plus for me. I do want to return to try other menu items. Recommended.

I finally decided to give this place a try. It's located at the end of a the strip center, which has plenty of parking, by Nothing Bundt Cakes. Using Door Dash, I ordered the Horchata, Al Pastor taco, the dirty version of the Taco Bamba taco, and the Possole Rojo for pick up. My order was prepared super quick. They packaged my order well and you can ask for utensils and sauces before you leave. I've never had Possile Rojo before, but I wished it had more seasoning. Overall, everything tasted okay. I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but this wouldn't be my first taco choice.

I've tried 4 different Taco Bamba locations and I love that they are all the same great flavors and quality. I especially love the Fairfax location for their larger bar area and outside seating area. Bartenders are always nice and attentive. And the cashiers and food runners have always been nice as well. We recently tried the Bamba Wings, and really loved the flavors! Will definitely order again.

Taco Bamba is always great and I've been more than a half dozen times to the Fair Lakes location since it opened last year. It was crowded on a Sunday around 12:30pm. I ordered to go, but a table opened up during the approximately 15 minute wait. I had the Posole Rojo, a namesake Taco Bamba, and a Moby's Hog. I tend to prefer green chile posole, but this one is good! It's mildly spicy and includes onions, cilantro, big puffy hominy, chunks of pork, and a side of seasoned chicharrones. This is always a comfort to eat and I like dunking the pork skins into the broth. Moby's Hog is made of gyro spiced pork, garlic yogurt, pico de gallo, feta, pickled onion, mint, dill, and pepperoncini on a single flour tortilla. This one was packed and very tasty. If you like the classic taste of a gyro, including the creaminess of the feta, you'll get that, along with a fresh zing of whichever salsa you add from the salsa bar. I would get this one again. The Taco Bamba is skirt steak, chorizo, grilled guacamole, cotija, pickled onion, pickled fresno chile, cilantro, and chicharron. This one was alright. The large chunks of meat were a little tough. It has a classic carne asada flavor topped with some brightness from the pickled onions and chiles. But the rest of it - chorizo, guacamole, chicharron - kind of got lost in the mix. I'll probably look at other choices the next time I'm here. The bar always seems to be active here - lots of patrons having a lunchtime cocktail. The music is loud and lively, but you can still have a conversation with your table mates.

    Tinga Taco Pollo al Carbon

I'll be honest, I came in very hesitant because I had tacos 3 days prior, and they were probably the worst I've ever had. But Taco Bamba was recommended by my brother and sister, and if anyone knows good food it's them! And once again, they didn't disappoint! I ordered the chicken tinga taco and pollo al carbon dirty style. They were both so good in different ways. The tinga taco was very traditional and still had good flavor to it. The pollo al carbon was very flavorful and making dirty style was icing on the cake. It was so good I wanted to go back and order another. Something else we enjoyed was the sauce bar. I wish I remembered the name of the sauces because my favorite two, mixed together took the tacos to another level. If you want good tacos and service I would definitely recommend Taco Bamba.

I visited this location for lunch. It was very busy. We sat at the bar, the waitress was very attentive and helpful. The food was good, we ordered some tacos and wings. The wings were a chili garlic and they had a nice flavor. The pineapple margarita was very good and the presentation was so cute lol. There is ample parking and ample seating in the restaurant.

Can't thank Christian and his crew enough for making it right and going above and beyond. They made sure we had a meal that matched the standards were used to tasting in the past! Everything was delicious tonight- and as always, the dine in vibes are so fun. My boys were happy dancing through all of dinner. Really glad we came back, this was total redemption. The Dilly- GET IT!

I've always noticed how busy this place is whenever I pass by, so I finally decided to check it out and I'm so glad I did! Everything was delicious! I tried a variety of tacos, nachos, and margaritas, and each dish was packed with flavor. The portions were generous, and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Definitely a solid spot for great tacos and drinks!

I finally tried out Taco Bamba. The ambiance is lively, with music and a full-service bar. There are so many choices in tacos. The cashier was helpful. She explained to us the difference between Tacos Tradicionales and Tacos Nuestros. We tried the Bamba ceviche, el Shrimpo and Jeneral (Taco Nuestros) and camarón (Taco Tradicionales). We came at 2 pm and it wasn't busy. However, the food took over 20 minutes to prepare. The ceviche came in a small cup, it was full of squids and shrimps, which was yummy. The El Shrimpo was amazing. My niece liked her tuna and shrimp tacos. Overall, we enjoyed our late lunch and will definitely come back again to try other tacos.

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

Have tried Izakaya Nana, Genki Izakaya and Super Kyuramen and been to Izakayas in Tokyo and Kyoto…read more I love that so many Izakayas have opened in the NoVA area. The bad thing about Genki Izakaya is how crowded it can be. I'm not sure I would show up without reservations again. I've been there 3 times, the first time we didn't have a reservation and the hostess seemed very hesitant to add us to the wait list. She said the waitlist was very long. We decided not to wait. The second time we also didn't have a reservation and the hostess again seemed very hesitant to add us to the wait list. This time we did wait and were quoted 1.5 hours and it actually took about an hour. Not as bad as quoted but still busy! Third time we finally had a reservation and it still took us 20 mins to get seated as they did not have a table ready for us. To be honest the restaurant itself seems too small, they probably could be twice as big. The reason is the food at Genki Izakaya is in my opinion the best of the 3 Izakayas in the area. The Yakitori is good, hot and reasonably priced although I wish they would let you customize the $20 Yakitori Platter. I tried the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Hot Stone and was surprised that they cook it for you instead of you cooking it yourself on the hot stone. The waiter overcooked 2 pieces of the Wagyu which is annoying when it is so expensive but overall it tasted great. I like their Tonkotsu Ramen, it broth tastes great and I've had ramen all over this area, in New York City, LA area, Tokyo and Kyoto. It isn't the best I've ever tasted but it is really good especially for this area. Once seated the service is good and the food comes out quickly and everything we've had has tasted great. The only problem is how crowded it can be because its so popular! Only bad thing for us is it isn't too close about a 45 min drive but worthwhile - definitely try it if you like Izakayas and Japanese food.

We shared the monkey bread, fries sampler, steak and cheese dumplings, chicken rigatoni, and salmon caprese. The rigatoni was a hit for one person at the table, but wasn't for me -- so I asked to swap it for the salmon, which was excellent. I would recommend a reservation because with rain outside aka the patio being closed, the whole inside was packed. A lot of the seats are super close which feels very European but you can hear most peoples conversations which can be annoying. Our waitress was really sweet and stopped by a bunch. We started with French 75's, hot coffee, and an espresso martini. The drinks were refreshing and quite large for the price. The espresso martini really reminded me of a grown up hot chocolate, I really enjoyed it. I later also got a cucumber vodka martini and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had - definitely the drink of the summer. For our food we started with the baked brie with fig and garlic and the escargot. The brie was a unique take on baked brie, I loved the way the flavors all melded and the fact the cheese wasn't completely spilling out everywhere. The escargot was soft with a phenomenal crumb/butter mix, the whole things really melded well and melted in your mouth. The bread served with it was nice as well, if only I had a bit more of it. For our mains we were here during brunch so we got the lobster omelet and the French onion soup with the side of fries. The french onion soup was great, a good amount of cheese and onions without being overwhelming. Fries were fantastic and quite large, a big portion for $7. They hooked it up with the amount of lobster. I would definitely come back to try their lunch tasting menu or other brunch items as well!
