Today I was in the drive through with my boyfriend. My drink was handed to me almost sideways and overflowing, spilling onto my brand new phone and all over my pants and seat of my car. Everyone in the drive-thru acts like you are their long-lost best friend who just happened to show up out of nowhere and order a bean burrito. One lady told me I was beautiful. Probably the best customer service and staff of any fast food chain I have ever been to. I never have high expectations of fast food, but this place goes above and beyond. Maggots, bugs and maggots - oh my. I don't typically eat Taco Bell, but my husband swears by it. After convincing, I thought I'd try again. I ordered a soft taco (meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato), I took a bite and a maggot fell out onto my hand. I couldn't believe it, so I put the maggot on a piece of paper-towel thinking it was probably something else. It started moving. I will NEVER eat Taco Bell at this location or any other. The only thing the manager said when I called them to ask them to check everything so no one else would have to endure this is, I'm sorry, we'll refund your money. I know there is a lot of liability when you have bugs crawling around in your food but she could have said something more. Sorry, but this is just plain gross. Where the magic happens. I found this Taco Bell back in 2010 when I made a wrong turn coming home from work and had to do a loop-de-loop in its parking lot. As I did the loopa-loopa in my car, my roommate called me and asked if I could pick him up some Taco Bell. He was high at the time, so I pretty much blew his mind when I told him I was already in the drive-thru line because of the loopapalooza. Food here is 10/10. However, every so often you find a gem such as this; a diamond in the rough. This Taco Bell has to be one of the most consistent in quality, service, and accommodation. Being a family run business, the passion behind the food is outstanding. It is so fresh that I've seen these culinary jacks of all trades not only milk the cows to create such a fine queso, but then slaughter them for fresh seasoned beef; talk about the real Mexico experience right in the heart of Chicago. Locally grown vegetables contribute to the fresh (or "fresca" in Spanish) and healthy euphoria of Mexican goodness. The fusion of flavors make you feel as if you are riding a donkey down the sunny beaches of Cancun; margarita in one hand, burrito in the other; as if you had just downed 20 Coronas at the all-inclusive bar. I have had just about everything on the menu and they're worthy of being served in 5-star restaurants. The flour tortillas used in most items are like a soft floury pillow, but consumable (think Snuggles the bear. PSA: please don't attempt to eat bears). Don't get me started on the outdoor seating. Can you say beach cabana? It's like you are actually on vacation! I can go on and on about Taco Bell, but even my clients agree. They always start off every order with, " What can we MAKE for you today?" there's something about that instead of the usual "what can i getcha?" at every other fast food place. If you're eating there, they almost always ask how your meal was? I've eaten at the some of best and finest restaurants in this city and I'm always amazed that sometimes i don't get that else where, but not here, every time it's borderline weird but i like it! From a service standpoint this is one of the best fast food chain experiences you will ever encounter. The employees are always courteous, never an attitude. Yesterday there was a particularly obnoxious customer there who spoke to the employees as if they were in some lower caste. I go to this Taco Bell at least once or twice a week. Out of all the Taco Bells I've gone to, I keep going back to this one. All the staff members here are very friendly. I stopped by today to get some Cinnabon Delights, my favorite, after a long stressful day. I get to the drive through window and Shenequa J greeted me with a big smile. She has a very pleasant attitude. She made sure I had my order correct before I drove off and she told me that the Cinnabons had just come out the oven "nice and warm cinnabons for this super cold weather" it's people like Shenequa that keep people going back to this Taco Bell. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING! For years this has been my Taco Bell of CHOICE. Customer Service has always been TOP NOTCH. Courteous workers, amazingly friendly and efficient. NOT TODAY! I pulled into the drive through, line was almost to the street entrance. Menu Board NOT lit up and given that it was already night time, it was impossible to read the menu. The MAIN TACO BELL sign was UNLIT. Inside the store was a literal PIG PEN. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. Dirty tables, food wrappers on the floor. ZERO napkins in the napkin holder. Soda Fountain area in complete disarray. No at counter to take orders. The food line, prep area...FILTHY. Food, cheese, wrappers, ALL OVER THE FLOOR beneath food prep counters. Men's bathroom DISGUSTING. BOTH stalls, had overflowed and the urinal had food and a wrapper in it. A VERY FRIENDLY employee jumped off the line to assist me..I believe her name was Tasha, She was very nice/helpful. But the sight of the filthy food line is one I'll never forget. I have always loved this Taco Bell...don't know what's going on over there...but please get some decent management and whip that place back in to shape. It saddened and horrified me to see this place as filthy as it was. I'm seriously not blowing what I witnessed out of proportion.
