I love my castle because they have small portions and very reasonable prices for a quick fix while you're driving or when you don't wanna cook and you wanna eat great fast food that we know is not healthy for you, but it is a lot of fun. I love that they have fish, nibblers and fish sliders in addition to hamburgers and the impossible burger, which is vegetarian. I'm sad that the clam strips went away. But they do have mozzarella sticks and onion rings and french fries, and cheesy tater tots, for example. This location has open and free ample parking and you can also order through the drive-through window. It was lovely that they gave a generous portion of each item that I ordered. First time going to a White Castle and it did not live up to the hype. I should have figured as I walked in and didn't see any customers. Next thing I noticed was employees in the kitchen wearing pajamas. I had to ask for someone to take my order. After placing my order it was hard to find a clean table as you can see from the pictures. The next issue was the coke machine only having three options. I asked the girl behind the register if they had more drink options at the other machine used for drive thru and she responded with "I don't know". I was at the White Castle on Addison and Elston and I just want to say that they had a ton of business, and for these kids being nothing but teenagers and in their early 20s, they handled the ignorant customers very well. People were getting frustrated because they were waiting. The young man who helped me out had dreads. I don't know his name, but he deserves some kind of recognition or maybe a raise because he was very polite, very patient with me, and made sure that he checked my bag before he gave it to me that I had everything I wanted. After my visit to White Castle, the sliders that slid right out of me, left that wet residue, you know where. TMI? Deal with it. So, White Castle was my first food stop in Chicago. It had been many, many years since the last time I jammed those bite sized burgers down into my gut. I was looking forward to the experience for months and months, only to find them just OK in my book. It's probably due to the fact that I don't really east fast food anymore as I'm not into the heavy grease that these patties were cooked in. So much so that the buns were wet and soggy. I could see over the counter and watch the cooking process as my order of 20 sliders was being prepared. Mixed them up, with and without cheese. Preferred the ones without cheese as it's just plain American cheese. Couldn't really taste the difference anyway - just gave it a different texture. This wasn't so much a bucket list item for me as much as it was just the chance to have something I can't have every day; sort of like In-N-Out here on the West Coast. Guess my eating habits have changed over the years because these sliders I was dying for, was just ok. Entertaining tired & hungry guests. So when we got "The Crave" we decided to give delivery a try! Delivery was impressively fast! Unfortunately the friendly driver brought our food in an old greasy tote bag. Then he handed me our food in three bare, wet, disintegrating paper bags that were not stapled, sealed or protected in any way. Have they ever heard of plastic bags? MINUS ONE STAR for that alone! The hash brown nibblers were unsalted & a true monument to ancient grease, LOL! After a little salt they were fine. They forgot the bacon in the smoked cheddar bacon sliders, but the smoked cheddar cheese was good. That's $2 bucks wasted. MINUS TWO STARS for that! Please Don't waste my hard earned CA$H. The impossible sliders were surprisingly not bad, a nice recent addition to the menu for my veggietarian buddies. The jalapeño cheese and bacon sliders were delish, always a real treat! Next time I'm doubling my order of those! Ordering Hi-C by the gallon was a stroke of genius on my part! It arrived neat, lots for everybody and plenty left over for later! 5 stars for the morning crew!!! I have only frequented this White Castle location in the mornings on the way to work. And from this location I have only ordered breakfast items. That being said, I love the ladies that are here in the mornings!!! They are so cute and super friendly and just nice. If I wasn't always going through the drive thru I'd want to give them a hug. They have never gotten my order wrong and I have no complaints. Way to go White Castle for making great breakfast. You can really taste that the egg is freshly cooked in any of the breakfast sliders, unlike other fast food places that use boxed eggs or fake eggs or whatever crap that is. If you have never had the breakfast menu items I highly recommend them. Even my friends who are anti-fast food love the sliders. They used to have chicken waffle sandwiches that were taken off the menu. They were super delicious and I hope they come back one day. Even for a limited time! read more

The Original Slider is delicious, and you can add cheese in them if you would like (as there are Double Cheese Sliders as well). It comes with 100% beef hamburger, steam-grilled, and has some onions and a pickle on top in a soft bun. I dip mine in ketchup! These sandwiches are small and you can definitely eat a good handful of them!
