A fun fact about my younger self is that I had a Qdoba obsession. During the pandemic, I was in a phase of eating here on average once a week. One time, I ate Qdoba for dinner four days in a row. This obsession has tamed itself, but I still love Qdoba as a comfort meal, and this location hasn't let me down. I've mostly gotten it delivered, but the portions are generous! I visit Qdoba regularly. Always satisfied. When I have guests we normally order from the Diversey location. Jenny, Izic and Angie run things smoothly. Heidi keeps me informed about the new menu items and she has made great combination suggestions. I can't get enough of the guacamole. I was informed that Diana has a lot to do with making the guacamole. Highly recommend. When I stop by in the evenings Julian and the night crew keeps the restaurant clean and the line moves well. I absolutely love Qdoba. I know it's more of a national chain, and I love supporting local joints, you can never go wrong with qdoba. And since it's a national chain I don't mind saying things like Qdoba is waaayyyy better than chipotle. My go to entree is their Chicken Queso Burrito. I used to order the actual burrito, then their naked burrito with a side of tortilla, and now watching the carbs a little bit, I just skip the tortilla in its entirety. When you get fresh white rice, it taste so delicious. They add cilantro and lime to make it taste awesome. Next add some pinto beans with fresh grilled chicken. The chicken is so flavorful, juicy and tender. They're queso sauce is to die for. This for whatever reason they tend to skimp you just a tad bit. They're never generous with the queso sauce. But I refuse to pay extra for double. Just have to hope that they fill that spoon up. I keep it simple after that. Just habanero hot sauce, cheese and sour cream. I skip the lettuce. Don't want a salad for lunch. That's my go to, but they're quesadillas are also on point. Unfortunately, they have recently changed their menu up a little bit. They changed all their sauces and have eliminated their tortilla soup. That soup was delicious, but unfortunately gone. I have to say that I prefer Qdoba over Chipotle. Who doesn't want a choice of free guac??? And free queso??? AMAZING. And the crispy veggies over the small and soggy ones at Chipotle is a big winner for me. I only wish that there were more locations open around the city. I have been to this location many times and have also ordered for delivery. I have to say that delivery can be a hit or miss in terms of the amount of food that you get and I sometimes don't even get some sides that I request. Might be that when I do order it is for later in the day but then I wish that the website would show what sides are not available to add instead of just creating a very small bowl. read more

Had lunch at Qdoba recently, and I ordered the Grilled Chicken Quesadilla. I like the way they put a nice char crust on the chicken then you choose what you want for the fillings. They grill the quesadilla to perfection with the cheese oozing out as you pick up a slice. The restaurant is modern and clean. They get you in and out in no time. This QDOBA location does a pretty good job especially during peak times. I had a nice young lady who served me and was quick on her feet, clear and understanding. My burrito bowl was made just how I wanted it. The only thing I wished for to be honest, is that my server would ask if I wanted guacamole. The guacamole isn't as apparent in the selections until you get to checkout, and by then it's a bit late to bother with the order. I'm not really sure if it is treated as an extra here? Concerning the up-keep of the location. I think the workers here do a pretty good job from what I've seen in the main dining area. read more

Service was quick and friendly. They give good portions. I almost forgot to scan my rewards but the cashier reminded me so I was thankful.

I stopped in to have a late lunch/ early dinner. I see my favorite evening crew working. I really enjoy the food, but I enjoy the customer service even more. This is my favorite go to spot for lunch. I know that not many Qdobas exist in the city anymore, but this will always be my go to location. The staff are so easy going. Also this location offers so much diversity. Also, the employees work to keep this establishment really clean. It's nicely decorated and well lite. Even on rainy and snowy days, you'll never see track marks from the constant flow of customers. I enjoy that this location is fully staffed. You'll never run into having to wait in long lines. It appears that All employees come here to work. Everyone pulls their weight at this establishment. The food is always fresh, and the employees are so down to earth. Also, there is not big turn over with the staff as with other restaurants chains. I've seen the same faces for the past 4 years. Was unable to indicated I wanted 2 helpings of an item in their "Pick 6" for the bowl meal in. After I placed order I contacted this restaurant and the person who answered could not have been nicer. Food is pretty bomb but the service has been bad both times I've been to this location. Some of the workers here are so rude and just seem annoyed. Today (my 2nd time ever having Qdoba) I had a couple questions about my burrito bowl. Every time I started speaking the girl making my bowl would turn and walk away! The food is good I'll start by saying that, but this location is so cheap with the amount of meat and veggies they put on your bowl. It's hard to not go to this location for me because it's the closest, but every time I end up regretting it because of the cheap amount of food they put on the bowl. I like Qdoba generally, but when I stopped in here at around 930 tonight, the gentleman working the counter must have been having a bad day... No greeting when I walked in, and as I spent about ten seconds looking at the menu, turned his back to work on other chores. Yes, he made me feel like a chore. After walking me through the line of toppings without making eye contact, he took my card for payment, asked if I wanted a receipt, and then walked away without another word, leaving my bag across the counter for me to gather up. I'm sorry but it was just horrible. My friend taco shell bowl was old and stale. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location. I called and asked for the supervisor and she told me these taco bowl shells are fried everyday but she was obviously lying. I had gotten a T-Mobile app coupon and they did not know how to help me with it very rude. So anyway I went back to get a new bowl but that she'll was also stale in surprise. As I was telling her what to put in the bowl she plopped the food like she was mad into my new lunch bowl. I should be the mad one I went home to get had to get dressed again , get into my car and drive there for a second time. I had the BEST experience at this Qdoba recently and I feel it's worth sharing. I haven't been in years so I wasn't sure what I wanted and what was free or cost extra, and the guy making my bowl let me sample the Queso and Guac, add veggies and chicken for free, and then refilled my Queso sample cup on my way out so that I could have extra Queso for my leftovers. Yesterday I stopped In for a quick lunch because I was on a time crunch. I love Adobe because you get your food super fast which is super nice when you have a 30 minute lunch break. I came here for the chicken! I highly recommend getting salsa in yours because it really ties all the flavors together. I wish tried the steak because my friend told me it's better then the chicken. This Qdoba location is right down the street from my job which is very convenient for me. In the past 3 months or so I've eaten lunch nd dinner from this Qdoba probably 3 or 4 times. Each and every time I got the chicken burrito bowl and I was not satisfied. The chicken had a funny taste to it. I cant really explain it but it wasn't good. Maybe I'll try the steak if I decide to visit this location again but as for now they get 2 stars because the chicken was horrible. I cannot for the life of me distinguish this place from Chipotle from a food/set-up/service standpoint. Bear in mind I've only ever been to either place maybe a handful of times over the years....to me they just aren't that good. Qdoba gets an extra star for their 5-star, shot-worthy Queso so it brings it right to A-ok. With the abundance of fantastic taco stands and Mexican fare around Chicago these sort of places should stick to the Suburbs and cities that have a complete lack of choices for Mexican food. Never crowded, the employees are always--and I really mean always--energetic and seem to enjoy pleasing customers, and the restaurant is conveniently next to the Diversey station on the Brown Line. Qdoba recently changed their process, so all the things that used to be add-ons such as queso and guacamole are now free. Fast food non-authentic Mexican category: I'll give 'em 4 stars. We strolled in for burritos with all the fixins' a little before 11pm tonight... yes, they're open 'til 11pm on the weekdays! The first signature burrito that caught my eye was the poblano pesto, and you know what they say about trusting your gut (and a hungry one at that!). I dig the cilantro lime rice (cilantro anything, really) and they're quite generous with their toppings. I also hear they that don't use lard, and that their beans are vegan. So maybe they're a bit healthier than some of the Mexican joints slinging burritos out there? Still, I'm well aware of what I'm getting myself into: a huge flour tortilla filled with chicken, rice, cheese, salsa and sour cream is NEVER lo-cal. Friendly, fast service and a parking lot. That was my dinner on Saturday night. It's delicious, gooey, creamy, delightful, yummy and the answer to all of life's problems. I grew up in a home without things such a queso. My mom was a crazy marathon lady. She created a grown woman who will eat hot cheese and warm chips for dinner. Thanks, mom! The woman (manager?) was super fast and efficient on a busy Saturday night. My only tiny complaint about this store is that they are sometimes out of iced tea. How can I truly be happy without a huge paper cup of iced tea? Besides there being ample free parking in the lot, the best part about this place is that it's right next door to Lover's Lane! How can you not love a night of hot Mexican food AND HOT mannequins dressed in ridiculous clothing?! I just want to take the time recognize that management and staff at the Chicago - Diversey location. I had dinner there last night with my husband and our 3 month old. The manager and staff were very courteous and helpful. They went above and beyond with assisting us since our hands were full (diaper bag in my hand and 3 month old in carseat in my husband's hand). I went to the Yelp event, which already pushes this to three stars, because any restaurant willing to give me a free entree because I review things for fun --and therefore there's a possibility I might not review them favorably-- is pretty awesome. Anyway, the roommates (gf, bff and myself) and I were broke, so this was the perfect chance. My girlfriend and I had been to Qdoba before, bff had not. The girl wasn't a huge fan. So basically I'm the one talking up Qdoba and its queso and giant burritos here. Yet, everyone walked away happy. We walked in the door and were immediately greeted by a friendly woman who I assume is the manager who offered to point my less Qdoba-familiar friend in the right direction (she declined, but still, nice); the staff was friendly and engaged, and we got the drinks and normally extra condiments for free too -- yes, you heard that right, those little traps that usually make people pay for coupons were on the house -- which made my ENTIRE MEAL FREE. I mean, it's a Qdoba. Fast "Mexican" food. It has a number of variations on burritos, tacos, nachos, etc. For meat-eaters there's a range of fajita chicken, carne asada beef, etc, but obviously I haven't tried any of that. For me - there are a number more vegetarian options than Chipotle, which I like, and it also has really good queso, which I will be back for. (Weirdly enough, queso fundido of the actual "dip" kind has been INCREDIBLY hard to find around here, even at decidedly Tex-Mex places.) Their tortilla soup is vegetarian, which is awesome, and the manager helpfully informed us that the beans are too, which is a concern sometimes. I wish the place would take a hint from Moe's and invest in some tofu, but still. Good times. New-ish on their menu seems to be a Panera-like "you pick two" (I believe it's "craft 2" for Qdoba) option which offers two from a selection of smaller portions of nachos, tacos, soup, or...a couple other things (I will be back for tortilla soup and tacos, oh yes). Add to that the fact that this is one of the NICEST Qdobas I've ever been in, really clean and pretty, and that we were talking all night about how much more cheap and tasty this place is than Chipotle, and the only reason this isn't getting five stars is because, well, it feels wrong to give a fast food place five stars.
