I'm not sure why the reviews here are so low but my experience was great!! My family and I made a quick stop to fuel up on some grub. Parking was plentiful, establishment was clean, spacious, and AC was on full blast [not something I preferred but at least it wasn't hot and musty]. Ordering took us more time than it really should due to my indecisiveness but thank goodness the staff patient. Menu is pretty extensive and very simple to navigate. Extra points for the kiosk options that allow you to avoid lines and gives you full access to navigate TB's offerings. Purchases: Drinks Nachos Bellgrande Hard Taco Soft Taco Supreme Hard Taco Supreme Chicken Quesadilla + $$ for Chipotle Sauce & Sour Cream Food was exactly how it should taste. The only issue we had was the chicken quesadilla having Chipotle sauce included by default. I, unfortunately, was unaware of this specific ingredient and it was simply too spicy for my little one. I brought it back up to the counter and the staff didn't huff and puff about remaking this for us. 5/5 stars!! Used to be one of my favorite stops whenever I drove by the 5. However, the past two times in a 3-4 month span I've gone to this Taco Bell, and the drive thru system has been down. DO NOT GO HERE! WORST FOOD SERVICE EVER! I am writing today due to the racial prejudice from a terrible experience (1:05pm on 1/17/25) I had at the Taco Bell at 25101 W Dorris Ave, Coalinga, CA. My family and I were waiting in the drive thru, watching the car ahead of us ordering their food. When we pulled up for our turn to tell our order, a female voice told us their system was down and that we had to drive all the way through the drive-thru and park to order inside. While we were still waiting in line at the drive-thru, we noticed that the car behind us was able to order in the talk box. We pulled up at the pickup window and the server refused to take our order at the window when we complained that the people behind us could order but we were not allowed to order. That is not fair. I called for the manager, who appeared to be a young teenage kid. The manager refused to provide any accommodation, and actually called me the "n" word in front of my whole family (yes that word). This is completely unacceptable and has embarrassed my whole family. Another coworker started to bark at me, demanding for me to leave the premises after I explained my displeasure of how I was being treated. I am appalled that Taco Bell has promoted such behavior and I feel humiliated by being treated that way. This incident will be reported to the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Due to this prejudice, my family and I refuse to ever go to a Taco Bell ever again. My family and I demand for an apology, as this type of language or care should not be allowed anywhere. I am thoroughly disgusted by the manager and the drive-thru staff today. This needs to be made right. read more

The food was amazing but the wait was long and the servers need to be louder because I could barely hear them but overall it was worth it.

This is at one of the rest stops off the 5 highway and decided to stop on our way back home from Disneyland. We got lucky and there was no wait at the drive thru on a Sunday around 4 pm. We were greeted right away and the staff were very nice once we approved the window. The food tasted as it should and from the outside the place looked clean. I have Taco Bell maybe once a year, but when your driving between San Francisco and Los Angeles on Interstate 5, and your limited to 4 fast food places we chose TB. The Taco Bell located in Coalinga is at the Highway 198 off ramp. The interior is updated and clean. The restrooms are not horrible. Taco Bell is always coming up with new novel ways to Americanize their menu items and their constant advertisements are a constant reminder. Some of the novel items are Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos Cheezy Gordita Crunch Chalupa Crunchwraps Nachos BellGrande Beefy Fritos Burrito Mexican Pizza Quesarito The Coalinga location is fast and efficient and is busy at peak hours. The Crunch wraps and burritos are a quick food choice that you can eat while your driving 70 miles an hour down the I-5. Excluding the taco sauce these items will not come apart if you keep the wrapper on. Plenty of parking in the large parking lot. read more

Because I ordered ahead, they put my order at the bottom of the priority list, serving walk-in customers who ordered after me first. The person at the counter was incredibly slow and seemed confused. He didn't realize that "Joey" and "Joseph" could be the same name, so he told me I never placed an order. Not sure about the low star ratings. It's a Taco Bell but it's clean, cool, and friendly. The food was better than the average Taco Bell, and I've been to many. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. The restaurant was clean as was the outside. There're was a bit of grass if you need to let the dog out and a smaller bit of shade if you want to eat outside. Overall a solid Taco Bell. read more

Road trip and two stops were made- one was to Taco Bell, the other Carl's Junior (we both wanted things from each fast food restaurant). They forgot to give us the slushy beverage but were super cool when we went back to the drive thru. Other than that- the food was fine- soft and hard shell tacos, bean burrito for the vegan, and crunchy wrap for the omnivore. Definitely a great place to pit stop, walk the dogs (a lot of parking lot space), take a stretch break if needed and get some food. read more

I am always scared to eat fast food on road trips. But sometimes you just have to! But this Taco Bell was awesome! We have a large family and when going through the drive thru, the lady taking our order was patient, and nice. She got our order right, and then we got everything we ordered with everything just right! No complaints from anyone. Not the best Taco Bell I have been to. The lobby was closed at 7pm, go to the drive thru they were updating their computers had to come back 10 minutes later, we ordered like 8-10 simple things like bean burritos and 5layers (road trip) and it took a while to get them and we were the only people there. I bit into my burrito and it's a cheesy rice and bean burrito with potato and the beans are burning hot but somehow the potatoes are still cold or like freezer burnt and not cooked all the way. I love Taco Bell. I mean, I practically grew up on the stuff. This particular one is located in the middle of nowhere, and is probably only worth going to if you're making the drive between Northern and Southern California. Since that's exactly what we were doing, we decided to stop in. First off, this is the most crowded Taco Bell I have ever been too. The line was almost out the door and there were barely any tables to sit at. The tables that were available obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. Slow service and dirty tables probably means they need to hire more workers... However, the food quality was just as high as any taco bell. They need to train their staff to be more curious and helpful. I was trying to decide what burrito to get and said, "what's the difference between x and y?" The girl said, "content." So I just ordered what I had had before and moved on. Still though, i felt a little like i had been insulted or called stupid. Still, it was kinda funny I have to admit.
